After several security attacks on the established card technologies, the EV1 DESFire card with AES encryption offers the latest protection and is the standard for security system solutions today. Often highly secure battery powered encrypted card readers have limited read range and low battery life, however the doorloxx concept maintains maximum reading range with long battery life. doorloxx separates the reader from the electronic cylinder. The cylinder is the unlocking mechanism to release or engage the door handle. The release command from the reader is sent using secure AES encryption to the cylinder. Once the cylinder is installed it can remain even if the reader technology is upgraded, this ensures ease of integration with future technologies. Two types of door release mechanisms are available; an electronic cylinder and an electronic mortise lock. Three different system variants are available: 1. Enterprise The card data is sent to the controller and if the card is authorised the Release mechanism is unlocked by remote-control. 2. Business Business Edition enables the delivery of a complete system solution. All user rights are stored on a mifare DESFire EV1 card which will be activated on a daily basis at a Refresh Unit (Network on Card). The Cardnet allows networking of all offline door release elements. The same feature is also available on long range active tags which directly control the release elements. 3. Home The home system consists of active key tags which control both cylinder and mortise locks. It allows online features via the Airlink protocol as well as off-line activities. The user interface is designed to work like a locking scheme allowing time profiles to be easily adjusted. The graphical analogue clock allows you to quickly visualise time settings. Once you have defined all of the user authorisation rights the profile can be loaded to the system using the CRM 7 Refresh station to write the profile into the memory of a mifare DESFire EV1 card or an active keyfob. This Cardnet function enables the control of doors and users similar to a wired online system. The transpeed commander software can then signal a barrier to open to allow only authorised access to a company car park or premises. 4 Door release Mechanism Providing the mechanical locking, the door release mechanism is wireless and battery powered. They are designed to be both functional and ultra efficient using minimal power when in standby mode and whilst the lock is released. The extended battery life provides 100,000 operations or typically 5 years of use. The AAA type batteries are user replaceable. All communication to open the lock is encrypted and secure using the latest AES encryption. Electronic Mortise Lock ELS 1 A Euro lock DIN (axes distance 72mm) with backsets 55, 60 or 65mm. The lock can be quickly adapted in a few simply steps for either left or right handed installations. You can choose which door handle directly opens the lock and which handle only allows electronic release. You can even configure the lock so that both handles only allow electronic release. The control features for the door, latch and bolt position included in the standard model. ELS 1 ELZ 1 Electronic cylinder ELZ 1 A cylinder lock specially designed to fit most Euro doors that are equipped with a European profile cylinder mortise lock. These electronic keys contain a database of user rights to specific doors stored securely using AES encryption. Your whole network of doors is effectively on the card, this network-on-card approach makes it simple to manage thousands of offline doors with familiar functions such as time profiles and access rights. 5 Reader The doorloxx readers are especially designed for energy saving battery operation. Various reader technologies like mifare DESFire EV1, LEGIC advant, HID-Prox, I-Class, EM, Felica etc. are available. Highly secure AES encrypted card technologies require more energy to operate, yet doorloxx advanced design still provides a reading range of a hard wired reader in a battery powered device. They are so efficient that the battery lifetime is typically over 5 years. Reader CRM 5 and CRM 2 The CRM 2 is primarily designed to be mounted on narrow frame doors whilst the CRM 5 is is suitable to be fixed to the wall beside the door frame at a height of a conventional access control reader. Both models include the activator to communicate with the door release mechanism. The readers can be operated with or without a keypad or use an Airlink modem. The function of the reader family is very straightforward, for example when the ID card approaches the reader it wakes up then verifies the data on the card and the time authorisation. When everything is authenticated and the user has the correct rights, the reader sends a secure release command to the door mechanism. Optional reader inputs and outputs allow the connection of door sensors or a push to exit button. The door can provide online communication to provide real time monitoring using an Airlink modem. CRM 2 CRM 2 CRM 5 CRM 7 Refresh Station Distribution of access rights though a Network-on-card system, requires the users card or keyfobs to be updated. This is done using a Refresh station which is hard wired and connected to the doorloxx Commander software. Every user of the system typically visits a refresh station at the beginning of the day where there card is updated with user rights and a time stamp. Transferring access data via Card, transponders or key fob is called Cardnet. CRM 7 SMB 5 and ALC 2 - System enhancement The SMB 5 Smart I/O box can be activated like any other release element with the help of a reader or a key fob to provide control of non doorloxx products and equipment, two inputs and one output are available, in addition to the Wiegand and Magstripe interface. The active keytag AKF 3 contains the Airlink module and can switch over distances from 20m to 30m with the help of the ALC 2 module 220V or low voltage. SMB 5 ALC 2

6 Airlink - Router Airlink provides a secure wireless access control network. Airlink provides connectivity to Ethernet or Wifi using the ALE 50 Airlink Express as a gateway. To extend the Airlink network range the ALU 20 can be used as a wireless repeater. Alternatively the ALU 20 can be hardwired using a RS485 network. If the connection with the Ethernet or WLAN is established the doorloxx Commander Software can show and store transaction data as well as carry out the authorisation changes quickly. ALU 20 ALS 20 ALE 50 ALU 20 RDL 5 Service Tool Using a laptop together with the RDL 5 mouse you can configure the electronic cylinders, locks or other hardware locally. This can also be used to transfer data from door- Loxx components to the doorloxx Commander software. Alternatively, all Cardnet data can be programmed onto the tags using the RDL 5 mouse. The optional Airlink module ALU 20 offers the possibility to measure the Airlink wireless network within a building.
