6 Comfy Leg Sleeve Comfy Leg Sleeve is a multiple air-cell compression garment for the treatment of full legs - foot, calf & thigh. Use Comfy Leg Sleeve with Mego Afek Devices: Lympha Press Plus Lympha Press Optimal Lympha Press Mini Lympha Press Wave Lympha Press 103 Instructions for wearing the Comfy Leg Sleeve: 1. Open the main zipper half way and pull the Comfy Leg Sleeve over your leg. 2. Zip up the zipper. 3. If the sleeve is too small, add Parallel Expander or Tapered Expander (see pages 6-9) Recommendations: Use while lying down with a straight leg Wear cotton pants. Note: It is possible to simultaneously operate two Comfy Leg Sleeves using the additional air outlet located on the device. If only one sleeve is used, seal the second air outlet with the 12-prong plug supplied with the device. Connecting the Hose Bundle Insert the hose bundle connector into the corresponding air outlet of the device making sure you hear a click. 8 Comfy Leg Sleeve Parallel Expander Comfy Leg Sleeve Parallel Expander allows increasing the circumference of Comfy Leg Sleeves. Use Comfy Leg Sleeve Parallel Expander with Mego Afek: Comfy Leg Sleeve Each parallel expander adds about 10 cm. from top to bottom to the circumference of the Sleeve. Use parallel expander when larger circumference is needed on the thigh, leg and foot. Each expander has zipper fasteners on each side of the expander. Instructions for use: 1. 10 Comfy Leg Sleeve Tapered Expander Comfy Leg Sleeve tapered expander allows incressing the circumference of Mego Afek Comfy Leg Sleeves. Use Comfy Leg Sleeve Tapered Expander with Mego Afek: Comfy Leg Sleeve Each tapered expander adds 10 cm. to the top part of the Comfy Leg Sleeve, and 4 cm to the foot area circumference. Use this tapered expander when the Leg Sleeve is wide enough on the foot area but too tight, or does not close on the thigh. Instructions for Use: 1. Open the Comfy Leg Sleeve. Instructions for Wearing the Velcro Sleeve FL: 1. Open the velcro fasteners and wrap the Velcro Sleeve FL over your leg. 2. Close the velcro fasteners. 3. There are three velcro fasteners for different leg sizes. Close the fastener and leave room for the air cells to expand. 4. Use FL Expanders if a larger circumference is needed. Note: It is possible to simultaneously operate two Velcro Sleeve FL using the additional air outlet located on the device. If only one sleeve is used, seal the second air outlet not in use with the12 prong plug supplied with the device. Use Velcro Sleeve Expander with Mego Afek: Velcro FL Compression Sleeves The Velcro Sleeve Expander comes in sets of two: one for the top part of the garment and one for the lower part of the garment. Each expander has Loop Velcro fasteners on one side and Hook Velcro fasteners on the other side. Instructions for use: 1. Open the Velcro leg sleeve that you want to expand. 2. Wear cotton long sleeved T-shirt. Note: Use Zipper Arm Sleeve with shoulder attachment for better results. Instructions for Wearing 1. Open the zipper fastener and wrap over your arm. 2. Close the zipper fasteners, closing the sleeve. 3. There are three zipper fasteners for different sleeve sizes. Close the fastener which adapts the size to meet your needs, closing the sleeve. Always begin by inserting hose number 1 into the valve closest to hand. Note: The Zipper sleeve is conical. The wider end is for the arm and the narrow side is closest to hand. 2. Continue connecting the hoses to the valves in increasing numerical order. 3. If you are left with hoses that are not connected to air inlets, plug them with the double sided plugs (supplied with the pump). When using Zipper Arm Sleeve shoulder attachment connect the extra air hose to the air inlet on the shoulder attachment. 4. Insert the hose bundle connector (in direction pointed by red arrows) into the corresponding air outlet of the pressure device making sure you hear a click. 18 Zipper Sleeve Shoulder Attachment Zipper Sleeve Shoulder Attachment secures the Zipper Arm Sleeve to the upper torso, and compresses the shoulder area. Use Zipper Sleeve Shoulder Attachment with Mego Afek: Zipper Arm Sleeve Instructions for Wearing the Zipper Sleeve Shoulder Attachment: For treatment of Left hand, choose Left attachment. For treatment of Right hand, choose Right attachment. 1. Connect Shoulder Attachment to zipper found on top part of zipper sleeve. (Fig. No.1) 2. Connect air hoses: air hose No.1 goes to air cell closest to hand, No. 2 goes to second air cell (from hand) etc. Last air hose goes into the air inlet of the shoulder attachment. (Fig. No.2) 3. 22 Boot Sleeve Boot Sleeve is a compression garment for the treatment of the foot area only. It is used with the Zipper Leg Sleeve. Use Boot Sleeve along with Zipper Leg Sleeve with following Mego Afek devices: Lympha Press Plus Lympha Press Optimal Lympha Press Mini Lympha Press Wave Lympha press 103 Instructions for Wearing the Boor Sleeve: 1. Once your Zipper Leg Sleeve is in place, wear the Boot Sleeve the way you put on a walking boot. 2. Use Velcro fasteners to fit the boot to your foot. 3. Use external straps to prevent the opening of the Velcro fasteners under high pressure (Applicable only in large sizes). 4. Connect hose no.1 to the air inlet valve on the boot. If you have two air inlets on your boot, connect hose no.1 to the valve closest to toes, then connect hose no.2 to the second valve. NOTE: in case hoses (1 & 2) are too short and do not reach the inlet air valves on the boot, use the provided extension tubes. 5. Continue connecting the hoses up the Zipper Leg sleeve. 22

26 Lympha Pants Lympha Pants is designed to give best lymph drainage for both legs and lower abdomen. Lympha Pants is also very efficient in cases where only one leg suffers from lymphedema. Arrange the Lympha Pants on the surface where treatment will take place. 2. Open the main zipper 2/3 and lie down inside the Lympha Pants. 3. There are three zippers for three different pant sizes. Close the zipper which adapts the size to meet your needs, closing the pants. 4. If the pants are still too small, add Expanders to adapt the pants size to your size. 5. On each leg, near the ankle, there are three (3) small zippers. Open the one that is closest to the patient s heel. It will allow the foot to remain as close as possible to its normal position (90º to leg) during treatment. Use Lympha Pants Expanders with Mego Afek: Lympha Pants You can use up to three pants expanders on each pant leg. Each expander (right & Left) adds about 10 cm. to the circumference of the pant (leg & abdoman). Pants Expanders come in sets of two. One for each side of the pants. Instructions for Use: 1. Open the zipper on the pant leg that you want to expand. 2. Lay out the Pant Expander next to one side of the open zipper. 3. Close one side of the Pant Expander zipper with one side of the pants zipper. 4. Close 1/3 of the other side of the Pant Expander zipper with the other side of the pants zipper. 5. Recommendations: Use Lympha Jacket - While sitting on a couch, lean backward in an angle of about 45 deg. Back and arms should be well supported. Wear cotton training T-shirt under the Jacket. Instructions for Wearing the Lympha Jacket : 1. Open the zipper on front of the Jacket. 2. Put your arms into the sleeves. Have someone help you zip up if you find it difficult. 3. Use front straps to tighten the jacket as much as possible without becoming uncomfortable 4. Use Jacket Expander if closing the Jacket proves difficult.
