Insert 2 AA batteries matching the +/- polarities of the battery to the battery compartment. Replace the battery cap and rotate it tightly according to the following figures. odel Art.No. Drive ax. For maintaining accuracy, calibrate the wrench in regular intervals. he intervals depend on the frequency of applications. Generally we recommend to calibrate the torque wrench once a year. 4 5

4 Activation ower On and Zero reset of the orque Wrench button C to turn on the orque Wrench. Before using the orque wrench, normally an auto-reset will be processed automatically. AENION! ake sure that no forces acting on the orque wrench during the power on / reset operation. If you did not follow the above mentioned points, the display will show the following symbol. lease proceed as described above. If the display shows ErO after switching on, the max torque has been exceeded about 0 %. In this case a new calibration is absolutely necessary. Low Voltage Indicator If the battery serial voltage is in low voltage status, the Display will show a battery symbol and then the Wrench will turn off. lease replace batteries. Changing the type of the head When using different insert tools the torque value to be set due to diffrent dimensions (L ) must be calculated using the following formula: calibration point Activation and Stand-by he orque wrench will automatically turn off after 2 min for power saving. lease press C to turn on the orque wrench. In the memory location you can select the prefered unit by pressing the button. 3. With the selection keys value. you can enter the target 4. 7 Selection of eak Hold or rack ode rack ode he orque wrench offers two different torque functions. In rack ode it is possible to trigger a preset target value. If you create a orque value of 5 Nm in the rack ode the display will show an start with 5 Nm, so when you create less than 5 Nm the Display will show no value changes. he minimum orque value for the /4 + 3/8 series is 3 Nm. 3. When you reach the maximum setting range the green and red LED will flash together.. he eak Hold recorded value review can also be performed in the mode monitoring. 2. If you operate in the eak Hold mode, the display will show ODE. lease go over to the next step. 3. 9 Communication Attention: Before the orque wrench will be connected with the C please make sure that the software from the enclosed CD is already installed on the C. lease use the provided accessories to transmit the datas only. Installation of the driver software lease insert the installation CD into your CD-RO drive. lease run the setup.exe in the root directory of the CD, to install the uploader. lease follow the instructions during the installation. Selct the following file: Start/rogramm/Uploader V.x/UploaderV.x hen the following windows are shown. Connect the communication cable between the C and the orque wrench. hen please choose the mode SEND or COU. (lease read the section ransmission of recorded data to reach the mode SEND or COU ) 6 7

10 lease open the file USB-Driver lease check the device manager which CO ort was assigned please execute the.exe- file please select the respective Com ort in the Uploader and click ort open lease follow the installation instructions If the Com ort should not be recognized automatically please click twice on the assigned device. hen, please change into the register driver 8 9

11 lease click drivers to be selected from list Connection of the communication cable urn off the orque wrench and connect the accessory cable between the CO ort of the C and the torque wrench. lease click Next lease select the respective Com ort in the Uploader and klick ort open ransmission of recorded data. lease press C after successfull connection to turn on the orque Wrench. 2. lease change in to the operation mode SEND by pressing button until you reach the menue. By pressing the button several times you reach the mode COU. By pressing the arrow keys you reach the SEND mode. 3. lease start the uploader program on your C. 4. lease select the correct CO port in the uploader program. 5. hen please select the file path to save the uploaded data. 6. Finally, press Upload to transmit the torque records to the C. 7. he uploaded datas are shown in a column and saved in a *.csv file. lease use icrosoft Excel to view *.csv file. 20 2

12 aintenance and Storage Calibration Attention!. An excessive torque ( 0% of the max. torque range) can cause damage or loosing of accuracy. 2. Do not shake violently or drop the orque wrench. 3. Do not use this Wrench as a hammer. 4. Do not leave this Wrench excessive heat, humidity or direct sunlight. 5. Do not use this Wrench in the water. (not waterproof) 6. If the Wrench gets wet, wipe it with a dry towel as soon as possible. he salt of the seawater can damage the Wrench. 7. Do not use organic solvents, such as alcohol or paint thinner to clean the Wrench. 8. Keep the Wrench away from magnets. 9. Do not expose this Wrench to dust or sand. 0. Do not apply excessive force to the LCD panel.. Create the torque slowly and comprise the middle of the handle. Calibration lease calibrate the orque wrench in regular intervals to save the accuracy. he intervals depend on the frequency of applications. Generally we recommend to calibrate the torque wrench once a year. Battery maintenance. lease remove the batteries when you did not use the Wrench over a longer period. 2. Do not mix the battery types or combine used batteries with new ones. 3. lease dispose the batteries at an official waste disposal location
