2 Swift F1 is the highly sophisticated and integrated clad alignment fusion splicer, specifically designed to perform the major 5 multifunctional features systematically: stripping, cleaning, cleaving, splicing and heating. As such, Swift-F1 supports splicing jobs with outstanding quality and efficiency. Although Swift-F1 can be successfully employed in any daily splicing job, great advantages come when used in conjunction with Swift field terminated optical connectors. Such connectors employ fusion splice technology as opposite to traditional field-terminated V-groove based connectors, which proved to suffer from low quality, weak durability and high maintenance costs. Swift-F1 splicer, in conjunction with Swift connectors, turns around field terminated technology trends: fusion splicing, undoubtedly the best termination technology, becomes now available even to non experienced engineers and gets to be more costeffective than mechanical splicing technology.
