Nine members were carefully selected in view of a broad geographical distribution and diverse approaches of using the Extended NDC-in-a-box to be represent. The PTS integrates various waveform data analysis tools including SeisComP3 (SC3) and Geotool into a new software distribution called Extended NDC-in-a-Box. This project is funded by the European Union in the context of the EU Council Decision 2012/699/CFSP of 13 November 2012 (EU/CTBTO Joint Action V).

To do so, the ATG provides input and responses to the developers from the beginning, performs alpha testing of final deliverables and provides feedback on the results to the development team. To enhance and develop station operators knowledge and skills regarding the operational and maintenance aspects of the SAUNA Noble Gas Systems May Brussels, Belgium Workshop on Signatures of Medical and Industrial Isotope Production (WOSMIP V) Attendance at previous WOSMIP workshops is not a prerequisite for attendance in Experts from organizations that are familiar with the medial isotope emission issues and/or experts in monitoring and processing of 99Mo medical isotope production facilities are expected to participate. As the emissions are not of a health and safety concern, the workshop does not involve discussions related to regulatory matters. The Workshop on the Signatures of Medical and Industrial Isotope Production (WOSMIP V) brings together experts from the treaty monitoring and isotope production communities to explore means to mitigate the effects of emissions from 99Mo facilities without impacting production. 2 5 June TBD, Austria Expert Meeting on Third Training Cycle Approx. 15 internal and 25 external Preparation of the next training cycle. Objective: To design the programme and training plan for the next training cycle taking into account lessons learned after IFE14.

Objectives: Understanding the roles of National Data Centres in the verification regime; Building and/or improving the National Data Centre capabilities; Providing with sufficient knowledge for accessing and using IMS data and products; Providing practical experience in analysing IMS data; June Waveform Station Managers with stations operating under PCA contracts Individuals with managerial and planning responsibility at IMS stations with Waveform technology with PCA contracts. Candidates must be proficient in English. To provide Station Managers with the basic knowledge and technical understanding of the CTBTO procurement process, how to initiate a change in the station budget, and how to plan for operations and maintenance at Seismic IMS stations under PCA contracts June Technical Meeting on SHI Software Engineering at the Priority will be given to managers of specific stations targeted for this training. The countries hosting these stations receive the announcement directly through official channels. The first phase of the Reengineering program, expected to be completed at the end of 2015, focuses on significant enhancements to individual components of the SHI automatic and interactive processing as well as data and product dissemination and software quality assurance. Priority is also given to those having registered and abstracts submitted for the CTBT Science and Technology Conference 2015 (SnT15) following this workshop. In January 2014, the initiated a second phase of its Reengineering program that considers the overall architecture of SHI applications and aims to produce, by the end of 2016, a new architecture for SHI applications. The scope document for Reengineering Phase 2 (see upload/conferenceservices/2015/_reengineering_phase_2_scope. pdf ) provides a high level overview of the project in terms of its business case, goals, objectives, deliverables, constraints and assumptions.

The first RP2 deliverables, the project Scope Document and the baseline System Requirements Document were reviewed by experts from Member States in June 2014 and finalized in August Work is on-going on the following deliverables: The Use Case Model Survey (UCMS), a high level overview of all use cases that system will support. Detailed Use Case descriptions, covering core functionality of the system. A System Specification Document which constitutes a more complete and formally correct version of the System Requirements Document. This technical meeting will provide a forum for software engineers and scientists from Member States to review and provide feedback on the UCMS and selected use cases and to explore key technology areas that are of particular interest to RP2. The following key technology areas are proposed. Data Storage and Access: Design considerations for the Common Object Interface, an object-oriented data access layer to be used by all SHI applications; lessons to be learned from existing data models for SHI data processing and analysis. Advanced Processing Architecture: Advances in processing pipeline architecture; componentized system design; interface implications of advanced automatic processing algorithms. Improved Analyst Interface: New strategies for displaying and analyzing data; use of historical information in SHI analysis; technologies for supporting remote analysis.

Conference Goals: To capitalize on scientific and technological innovations for verifying CTBT compliance; To promote the wider scientific application of data that are used for test-ban verification; To enhance the exchange of knowledge and ideas between the CTBTO and the broader scientific community; To enlarge the scientific community engaged in test-ban monitoring June International Hydroacoustics Workshop 2015 The workshop is aimed towards all scientists, engineers and other persons involved in hydroacoustics, ocean observatories, acoustic sensor technologies, cabled and autonomous underwater systems and related fields. The Provisional Technical Secretariat will solicit presentations and posters from on the topics of the Workshop. The are encouraged to also participate in the SnT15 preceding this workshop. The International Hydroacoustics Workshop 2015 will cover three main aspects of hydroacoustics related to monitoring of the CTBT (Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty): 1. Civil and scientific applications of CTBTO data and products; 2. Signal processing methods for verification purposes; 3. Technological advancements in marine engineering, particularly in ocean observatories, pertinent to IMS hydroacoustic network sustainability and improvement.
