18 There are 4 levels of classification TRÈS SECRET UE/EU TOP SECRET (TS-UE/EU-TS): This classification shall be applied only to information and material the unauthorised disclosure of which could cause exceptionally grave prejudice to the essential interests of the European Union or of one or more of its Member States. SECRET UE/EU SECRET (S-UE/EU-S): This classification shall be applied only to information and material the unauthorised disclosure of which could seriously harm the essential interests of the European Union or of one or more of its Member States. CONFIDENTIEL UE/EU CONFIDENTIAL (C-UE/EU-C): This classification shall be applied to information and material the unauthorised disclosure of which could harm the essential interests of the European Union or of one or more of its Member States. RESTREINT UE/EU RESTRICTED (R-UE/EU-R): This classification shall be applied to information and material the unauthorised disclosure of which could be disadvantageous to the interests of the European Union or of one or more of its Member States.
