5 C4ISR Design Way Forward C4ISR Design provides a representation of the relationships between the people, processes and data in an organisation. Purpose: C4ISR Design encompasses communications and Information Systems (C3 and C4) by which C2 and ISR can be shared across the operational environment and the battle-spaces within it How: Define the war-fighting environment design and architecture, and set military interoperability and integration needs and requirements. Through: Direction setting & assurance of network & communication capability needs by setting C4ISR interoperability and integration principles and standards that align strategic requirements and capability outcomes for the networked joint force. By: Rapidly gaining a comprehensive understanding of the C4ISR Design problem in order to provide direction and guidance.
6 C4ISR Design 2025 Future (2025) state of Defence s battle-space networked interoperability through the four product layers: 1. C4ISR Design 2025 Interoperability Framework 2. Service / Domains Networked Views 3. Selected Operational Design Patterns 4. Individual Data Sheets Includes specific views that provide an understanding of Battlespace Tactical Networking including Multi TDL Networking (eg. Link 16 and 22), Ground Networking (eg. VMF and BGC3), and Sensor Networking (eg. MADL)
