6 Supporting IPv6 Deployment Our 2016 survey (4,300 responses) showed: - 19% indicated no plans to deploy IPv6 - A lack of customer demand and technical knowledge were seen as key barriers - Training was seen as something the RIPE NCC can do to help IPv6 Roadshow and face-to-face training courses Online webinars and the RIPE NCC Academy Engaging specific sectors on IPv6 deployment - Governments, banking and finance Axel Pawlik 12 September 2017 APTLD 6

7 RIPE Policy Development RIPE Policies are developed through an open, transparent, bottom-up process Anyone can get involved in policy discussions and proposals Discussions take place on the relevant RIPE Working Group mailing lists - Two policy proposals currently under discussion active participants from 30 countries Axel Pawlik 12 September 2017 APTLD 7
