Romax designs go through certification and the company has obtained GL A-DA certification for its gearbox designs. Certification and testing support Romax provides extensive support services including supplier audits, training and certification. With a network of global specialists we support the drivetrain development process in optimising and re-engineering existing systems. Rapid certification and testing is crucial to successful product development, our processes are quick and accurate, leading to effective, robust and reliable components. We work with the largest certification bodies across the world, including Germanischer Lloyd (GL), TÜV SÜD, DNV and DEWI-OCC Offshore and Certification Centre. 7

8 InSight ids Advanced diagnostic and prognostic solutions Developed in partnership with some of the world s leading wind farm operators, InSight ids is a unique software tool that harmonizes the data transmitted by different wind turbine condition monitoring systems (CMS). Hardware independent, InSight ids displays vibration data in a uniform, intuitive and user friendly display and incorporates advanced algorithms which identify many faults far earlier than the CMS system is able to on its own. Through its intuitive user interface ids enables both asset manager and vibration analysis expert to identify specific problems immediately down to sub component level. InSight SCADA InSight SCADA is a tool developed to support the proactive maintenance of wind farms by analysing SCADA and operational data and providing the user with an overview of the key issues affecting the wind farm performance. InSight SCADA enables the user to control maintenance quality, tracking good and bad installations and repairs. The InSight life models estimate when drivetrain components are nearing end of useful life to enable long-term O&M budget planning and predictive maintenance of components. 8

Working with many of the world s leading wind farm owners and operators we monitor 24/7 and provide regular reporting on the performance and condition of onshore and offshore assets. Romax s monitoring services enable clients to reduce their cost of energy by implementing a predictive maintenance regime centred on optimising the balance between maximised availability and minimised operational costs (OPEX). Drivetrain inspection and analysis Romax provide impartial and expert inspection support at critical lifecycle stages such as end of warranty and during site acquisition due diligence. Our inspection services establish the precise status and condition of the wind turbine drivetrain. Our experienced field service technicians will inspect all major components locally with support from our offsite analysts who will undertake a thorough analysis and assessment. With our expert analysis software and our engineering analysts, we are able to provide you with a unique understanding of how and why your system behaves in the way it does.
