Rear Door Coolers In-row Coolers Aisle containment Coolers & Chillers Cabinets and Patching Frames Soundproof Cabinets Intelligent Access, Monitoring & Power
Traditional Aisle Containment Containment of hot or cold aisles and ducting hot air from cabinets are intended to prevent cool/exhaust air mixing within server rooms. Generally rows of cabinets face each other so that cool air can reach the equipment air intakes at the set temperature point for the room. A more recent addition to the consideration of above floor containment is below floor air flow control. A range of underfloor panels can be fitted within the raised floor plenum to create efficient cold air pathways direct to the raised floor vented tiles. Containment is generally implemented by physical separation of the hot and cold aisles, using blanking panels, PVC curtains or hard panel boards. Containment strategies could differ based on various factors including server tolerance, ambient temperature requirements and leakage from data centres.
Traditional Cold Aisle Containment Cold aisle containment with internal cooling can be deployed in a traditional raised floor environment or on a slab. CAC with internal cooling has a focused cooling approach and contains the cold air by enclosing the cold aisle using top ceiling panels and doors at the end of the aisle.
Low Density Aisle Containment Over 70% of server failures occur in the uppermost third of the rack where the heat rises overheating the upper equipment Aisle containment assists with delivering an even controlled temperature across all servers no matter where they are housed within the rack by reducing the airflow speed within the aisle. Convex roofs prevents air buffeting, which you get with a flat roof design This thermal dynamic improvement increases the overall efficiency and assists in providing an even column of cold air over the full height of the cabinet
Traditional Hot Aisle Containment The primary difference between HAC and CAC is that HAC is trying to contain the hot air to make sure that the return air temperature to the cooling unit is high, while the focus of CAC is on supplying cold air to the cold aisle where the equipment air intakes are located. The HAC approach can result in high efficiency of the cooling unit, but because the cold air distribution to the servers is open and exposed to disturbances from the room, it has a higher risk of not providing the server with its required input temperature.
Coldlogik CAP & DAX Systems To improve the efficiency of a CRAC based data centre design, ColdLogik controlled air path CAP units isolate and guide hot air out of the top of the cabinet into a ceiling plenum The primary function of the Directional Airflow Exhaust DAX system is the removal and distribution of heat from the rear of a 19 cabinet in an energy efficient and controlled way. Removing hot air from each cabinet by ducting the air through funnels on the top of the cabinet in a controlled manner through to the ceiling plenum
Medium Density Aisle Containment Traditional Aisle Containment with Room Conditioning Convex roofs prevents air buffeting, which you get with a flat roof design Consequently this thermal dynamic improvement increases the overall efficiency and assists in providing an even column of cold air over the full height of the cabinet
High Density Aisle Containment Coldlogik Rear Door Cooler, options allow up to 70kW per rack Retro-fit Module available for competitor or OEM racks Works with supply water temperature up to 24 C (ASHRAE) Able to reduce annual Data Centre Cooling costs up to 93% Fully controllable via Modbus, BACnet, RS485 & SNMP CEEDA Gold Award Status DCD North America 2014 Award Winner 2013 Queen's Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category
High Density Aisle Containment ColdLogik Rear Door Coolers replace the traditional approach to Data Centre cooling by removing low and high density heat loads. Rear door cooling has added benefit of reducing the real estate waste by hot aisle/cold aisle, in row cooling, CRAC cooling and aisle-containment designs. Waste heat generated by active equipment within a cabinet is removed at source by water cooling. Water is 3,500 times more effective than air by volume. Under normal circumstances, water and computing are not a good mix, however by utilising a patented LPS (Leak Prevention System) the ColdLogik solution operates without fear of leakage.
Rear Door Cooler Operation Exit air returned to data centre at pre-determined temperature by control panel Room ambient air is pulled into the front of the cabinet Coil removes heat at source Active equipment air exhausted to cooler
Rear Door Coolers Coldlogik Cabinets fitted with Rear Door Coolers
Cooler Options Retro-fit Rear Door Cooler CMS Control Panel & Controller Available in 42U & 48U, 300mm wide Cooling up to 70kW CMS (Coldlogik Management System) (available as 2U rack mounted or fitted in door)
Zero Aisle Cooler Zero Aisle Cooler provides an alternative method to fitting a Rear Door Cooler on to a Coldlogik cabinet or an OEM cabinet. Unlike a hinged door, which typically takes up mm of aisle space, the Zero Aisle Cooler moves from front to rear on an overhead system and floor based wheels to take up no more than its original footprint. When fully retracted, the distance between the back of the cabinet and the rear of the cooler is up to 1m of clearance, allowing for near unrestricted access and working space. This also allows retention of the OEM rear door for EMC requirements of some systems The runners can also be mounted to a mechanical infrastructure without fixing on top of the cabinet
LPS (Leak Prevention System) Chiller & Free Cooling Module Cooling Distribution Unit (CDU)

Chillers & Coolers
Data Centre Cooling Data Centre chiller applications is increasing around the world, as owners and operators understand their mission critical need for uptime throughout the year. Aqua can deploy a large number of different configurations in data centres. These can be water cooled, air cooled and condensation free coolers with evaporative condensers.
Aqua Free Cooling Aqua Free Cooling is the fast and effective way to reduce your energy costs and your carbon footprint on refrigerated process water cooling applications. It s the smart choice for return on investment, with payback in as little as six months. With interest free loans available from The Carbon Trust for qualifying companies, which allow payback at the same rate as the savings. This is achieved by utilising Aqua s low energy, dry air cooler and Free Cooling technology which can partially or fully reduce the chiller depending on ambient air temperature. Aqua Cooling have developed this comprehensive and fully automated Free Cooling package for easy installation on all chilled water systems. Existing installations can also benefit from the same significant energy savings by retro-fitting Aqua s Free Cooling technology.
Aqua Free Cooling
Adiabatic Air Blast Coolers Pulsed adiabatic spray operation to minimise water usage Adiabatic system purge timer ensures that stagnation of water cannot take place Air thermostat locks out adiabatic usage in ambient temperatures below design figures Features include: Counter flow spray nozzles for even spray coverage across the entire coil surface area Spray booster pump gives approx. six bar of water pressure at the nozzles giving a fine mist UV lamp UV sterilisation treatment for adiabatic water feed
Adiabatic Air Blast Coolers Low Noise Levels, Low Input Powers No additional charge over stage control on V-bank units Controls are pre-commissioned prior to despatch helping to reduce setup time Units are despatched in fully operational form with no on-site assembly required Adiabatic option available for high ambient/low water temperature applications Range of materials available offering extended life in varying environments Modern, safe alternative to cooling towers, offering reduced running and maintenance costs
Hybrid Ambient Cooler Water savings, the system operates dry for the majority of the year, only when the ambient air temperature gets close to the set point will the adiabatic system operate. This can be as little as 1 or 2% of the year. No spray or pooling, mains water is delivered directly to pads via a pumping system to ensure adiabatic water is correctly distributed No risk of bacteria, excess water is recirculated via a UV filter before being delivered back to the pads and adiabatic water is refreshed on a regular basis Flexibility with siting, can be located around other plant & machinery without any risk of equipment getting wet from adiabatic spray Plume free, as saturated air passes through the coil it is heated away from saturation and creates no plume Each hybrid cooler can provide cooling from 82kW to 572kW
Hybrid Ambient Cooler WATER DISTRIBUTION System distributes water through adiabatic pad No risk of contamination, process water operates in a closed circuit with no need for chemical water treatment Hot Water Enters Cold Water Exits ADIABATIC PAD Ambient air drawn through adiabatic pad Water falling through pad is evaporated; adiabatic effect cools air Cold moist air is drawn through the cooling coil Cold moist air cools fluid passing through the coil, turning to warm air above saturisation point, resulting in no plume Water Catchmemt Tray Water Pump & UV Filter

SPX Cooling Towers Distributor for
Specialist Cooling Solutions Cooling Towers Evaporative towers are able to get within 3 C of wet bulb so using their technology within the overall design means they can be used as primary cooling with wet bulbs up to 22 C. After this the cooling towers can either revert to cooling water cooled chillers or, if air cooled chillers are being utilised, turn off completely. This is a highly efficient, cost effective cooling resource with PUEs as low as Boreholes With borehole water temperatures across Europe generally below 14 C, this technology can be used throughout the year and is the greenest, most energy efficient way of cooling a data centre. The PUE of these systems can be as low as 1.03 and, as a geological source, the resilience of this system is unrivalled as it is hurricane and tornado proof. We can provide analysis of your location from desktop survey to full test drills to ensure that your chosen location is suitable for this system at very reasonable costs. River or Sea Water Again, the ColdLogik system is unrivalled in its ability to use alternative cooling sources. The CDU LPS is designed so that it can take both river and sea water as a primary cooling method whilst maintaining the systems integrity. The resulting systems have incredibly low PUE figures and extremely low ROI compared to alternatives. If your company s goal is to reduce its carbon foot print and cut costs, the Coldlogik cooling systems will fit your plans and budgets perfectly.
