Enable reliable, authentic, meaningful and accessible records to be carried forward through time within and beyond organizational boundaries for as long as they are needed for the multiple purposes they serve. --Sue McKemmish, School of Information Management, Monash University 3
4 What does Digital really should allow future users mean? to: Retrieve, access, decipher, view, interpret, understand, appreciate and experience Informational artifacts (i.e. documents, data, records, sound, movie, etc.) In whatever way and for whatever purpose are desired in the future 4
