2 Introduction Page 2 Partner solutions or applications that are powered by SAP HANA are certified by SAP to run on the SAP HANA platform. Applications that are awarded the powered by SAP HANA designation have been qualified to deliver the benefits that SAP HANA provides. These applications take advantage of distinctive capabilities of SAP HANA to deliver key benefits, such as simpler administration, reduced overhead, and better business intelligence over conventional traditional technology platforms. This definition of what powered by SAP HANA means can be used as-is in partner communications and on partner channels. You may refer only to a certified offering, not to an entire company, as being powered by SAP HANA. A company whose product has achieved product certification is entitled to use the logo as specified in these guidelines, and in accordance with their agreement with SAP. The logo may be used only in reference to the specific certified product. Companies that have a signed partnership agreement are encouraged to use the SAP partner logo in addition to the logo. Companies that are members of the SAP Startup Focus program may use the SAP Member SAP Startup Focus on SAP HANA logo in addition to the logo. Use your partnership and membership logos when referring to your company. Use the Powered by SAP HANA logo with the certified products. Note that product certification alone does not imply an official partner relationship with SAP. Do not treat powered by SAP HANA as a partner category or program.
3 Communication guideline Page 3 Communicating offerings that are certified as powered by SAP HANA Only solutions or applications that are certified by SAP as powered by SAP HANA are permitted to use this term. It is an additional description and should not be part of a partner product name. Partner solutions that offer tools that interoperate with the SAP HANA platform should not use this term. Note: Always lowercase the p in powered by, even in headers, titles, and other places where title case is used. Only the Powered by SAP HANA logo is an exception. The entire expression SAP HANA is a trademark of SAP. Use the registered trademark symbol after SAP HANA upon its first mention in headlines and body text. Do not use the trademark symbol after SAP in SAP HANA, alter the spelling or capitalization of SAP HANA, or omit SAP in the name. Incorrect: SAP HANA ; Hana; HANA To communicate that your solution is certified as powered by SAP HANA, you may use the following expressions. Correct: Our solution is powered by SAP HANA. Our product/solution is certified as powered by SAP HANA. We are an SAP partner, and our solution is powered by SAP HANA. Do not capitalize, use other expressions, or refer to your entire company. Incorrect: Our company is powered by SAP HANA. We are a powered by SAP partner. Our application is. Our application is SAP-Certified. You may use the alternative wording runs on or is built on to further explain the term powered by SAP HANA. Examples: Our solution is powered by SAP HANA. It runs on the SAP HANA platform. Our product is built on the SAP HANA platform and delivers key benefits such as
4 Logo Page 4 Using the logo This logo is intended for use on materials referring to a specific solution that has been certified as powered by SAP HANA, not on marketing materials for the company as a whole. Use the logo in materials that are primarily about the certified product. In external marketing materials, you will not normally need to refer to the logo itself, especially since the materials will likely display the logo. If you do need to refer to the logo, use quotation marks and follow the phrase with logo. Correct: The logo. Note: A logo is a specially created piece of artwork supplied to the program member in electronic files. The company must use only the files supplied by SAP and may not alter the logo in any way.
5 Logo Clear space and minimum size ½X Page 5 Clear space The clear space defines the minimum breathing room around the logo, and the minimum distance between the logo and the edge of a printed piece. Do not position any text, graphic elements, or other visual marks inside the recommended clear space. X ½X ½X ½X Minimum size In order to ensure legibility, the Powered by SAP HANA logo should not be printed smaller than.9 or 23 mm in width..9" (23 mm) Always maintain the logo s aspect ratio when scaling. Screen/signage logo When used on a computer or projection screen, the symbol need not be shown.
6 Logo Color Page 6 Color specification The colors for the logo are based on the SAP corporate color palette. You may use the PANTONE colors shown here, the standards for which may be found in the current edition of the PANTONE Color Formula Guide. If PANTONE colors are not available and you must use process inks to build the Powered by SAP HANA logo, always refer to the values shown here for the CMYK color model. For Web and on-screen uses, always refer to the values shown here for the RGB color model. Pantone 130C CMYK 0/30/100/0 RGB 240/171/0 Hex #F0AB00 Black White Black, white, and PANTONE 130C (gold) are the preferred colors for presentation of the Powered by SAP HANA logo. Use this logo version on white or light-colored backgrounds only. Against dark backgrounds, use the alternate (negative) logo with the white outline around the box.

Note: This is an example only, and not a design recommendation. The logo must always be clearly associated with the certified product. This logo must appear in the presence of the partner s logo, never alone. To protect SAP trademarks, do not connect the partner s logo and the logo with any copy or graphic element. Definition When displaying the logo, partners are recommended to include the definition on their Web site. This allows customers to understand the specific value of the certification. The following definition may be used without modification: Solutions or applications that are powered by SAP HANA are certified by SAP to run on the SAP HANA platform. Note: This is an example only, and not a design recommendation. The logo must always be clearly associated with the certified product. This logo must appear in the presence of the partner s logo, never alone. To protect SAP trademarks, do not connect the partner s logo and the logo with any copy or graphic element.
12 Logo Correct logo usage Page 12 Correct logo usage The examples on this page depict correct usage of the logo. File formats The logo is provided in three file formats: EPS, GIF, and JPEG. Each format is used for a specific purpose. To ensure correct color and resolution, always choose the format that is appropriate for your application, as described here. EPS format allows high-quality print reproduction. EPS files can be scaled to any size without sacrificing image quality and may be used to create files in any of the other image formats at exactly the sizes required. You may use EPS files with word-processing, page-layout, or graphics programs for print projects, but do not use them for on-screen or Web presentation. Use the logo on light photographic backgrounds. Use the logo on light solid backgrounds. The color and resolution of the logos in GIF format have been specifically formulated for on-screen or Web presentation. Do not use the GIF files for high-resolution printing. Also, never scale the logo to make it larger than the size provided in the GIF file. Never animate any SAP logo. You may use the JPEG format for PowerPoint presentations, Microsoft Word documents, and for printing on low-resolution printers such as laser writers or ink-jet printers. But never use the format for high-quality output. Also, do not scale the logo to make it larger than the size provided in the JPEG file. Use the alternate (negative) logo on dark photographic backgrounds. Use the alternate (negative) logo on dark solid backgrounds.
13 Logo Incorrect logo usage Page 13 Incorrect logo usage The examples on this page depict incorrect usage of the logo. Use the logo files as provided, without modification. Do not change any attribute like the colors, fonts, or distort the logo in any way. Ensure you use the alternative (negative) version of the logo on dark background. Do not use the SAP corporate logo instead of the Powered by SAP HANA logo Do not use the logo on a dark background; use the alternate (negative) version of the logo with the white outline around the black box instead. Do not rotate or animate the logo. Do not change the colors of the logo. Use the logo files as provided. Do not disproportionately scale, stretch, or compress the logo. Do not place the logo on a visually busy background.
