1 MarkLogic Cloud Service Pricing & Billing Effective: October 1, 2018 MARKLOGIC DATA HUB SERVICE PRICING COMPUTE AND QUERY CAPACITY MarkLogic Data Hub Service capacity is measured in MarkLogic Capacity Units (MCU). One MCU has approximately 1 GB of memory with appropriate CPU and network capacity. MarkLogic Data Hub Service is provisioned to provide a baseline level of MCUs. This provisioned capacity governs the target storage for MarkLogic Data Hub Service as well as how frequently and for how long it can burst above baseline performance. 1 MarkLogic Capacity Unit $0.125 per MCU Hour* ** MarkLogic Data Hub Service is provisioned with a minimum of 32 MCUs up to 512 MCUs, scaled in units of 16 MCUs. STORAGE CAPACITY Storage consumed by MarkLogic Data Hub Service is billed in per GB per month increments. You only pay for the storage that MarkLogic Data Hub Service consumes and you do not need to provision it in advance. 2 MCU CONSUMPTION MarkLogic Data Hub Service accumulates MCU Credits when they are idle, and consumes MCU Credits when they are active If MarkLogic Data Hub Service runs at higher MCU utilization for a prolonged period, it will exhaust accumulated credits and will be restricted to running at the baseline capacity When stopped, MarkLogic Data Hub Service does not consume MCUs. 4 MARKLOGIC QUERY SERVICE PRICING QUERY CAPACITY In MarkLogic Query Service, deployments are made by provisioning MarkLogic Query Service Endpoints (QS). MarkLogic Query Service is designed to dramatically reduce costs for applications that benefit from the ability to burst to full Query (Evaluator) performance whenever required. MarkLogic Query Service endpoints provide a baseline level of query capacity with the ability to burst above the baseline. Capacity is measured in MarkLogic Query Units (MQU). One MQU has approximately 2GB memory with appropriate CPU and network available to a typical application server thread in a MarkLogic Server instance The baseline performance and ability to burst are governed by credits. One MQU credit is equal to one MQU deployed for one hour. Some QS types accumulate MQU Credits when they are idle, and consume MQU Credits when they are active The hourly price automatically covers all interim spikes in usage if the average MQU utilization of the instance is at or below the baseline over a rolling 24-hour period or the endpoint lifetime, whichever is shorter, calculated every minute If the instance runs at higher MQU utilization for a prolonged period, it can do so for a flat additional rate per MQU per hour All e15 Query Service Endpoints consume a minimum of 15 MQU while not stopped.
