2 Modern data management with tibase 02 Both in terms of quality assurance and traceability, the archiving of determination data is absolutely essential. But not every measuring instrument can be connected to or operated by means of a PC. For this reason, the titrators from the Titrino plus family and the 840 Touch Control for the Titrando family can save determination data in the PC-LIMS format on a USB memory stick or on a CompactFlash memory card. With the new Metrohm software tibase it is now also possible to store these determinations in a database. This, of course, offers many additional advantages with regard to data management. 3 03 Import templates: If required, the import templates can be activated automatically when tibase is started up. If the selected data source is available, it will be monitored continuously for the input of new titration data. Data import Nothing could be easier! You generate your titration data in the usual way on your titrator and save them in PC-LIMS format on your storage medium. For this, the following possibilities are available: USB memory stick for instruments in the Titrino plus family CompactFlash card for 840 Touch Control Folder on a PC/network drive for 847 Lab Link or PC Control software No matter which form is used, the determination files are automatically imported into tibase by predefined import templates. This happens as soon as the relevant storage medium is connected to the PC or new data are written into the relevant PC or network drive. Database with comprehensive protection The added value of tibase is evident in the database. Not only your determinations, but all the settings, methods and user information are stored in the tibase database and protected against wilful manipulation and loss.

4 Convenient data management 04 It couldn t be easier Manage your data in the determination overview, where you can obtain the most important information about any sample in tabular and freely configurable form. Powerful search and filter tools provide support. Even a search for determinations by way of the serial number of individual instruments or dosing units is no problem for tibase. Among thousands of titrations you are sure to find your own particular determination in a matter of seconds. If you wish to forward a result to your colleagues immediately, you can send the determination directly from the database by without the hassle of interim saving and copying. Include titration curves directly in Word documents tibase shows the titration curve for each determination. The curve layout can be freely defined. A copy-paste command is all that is needed to include the titration curve in a Word document. Complete traceability Who carried out a determination and when? What titrator was used? What alterations have been made to the determination and by whom? All that is saved permanently for each individual determination. Immediately recognize what matters The results window provides you with a quick overview. No long searching for the result here you will find all the important raw data, results and calculation details in compact form. Determination reprocessing Wrong sample weight? No problem. With the reprocessing function the sample weight can be quickly corrected or a calculation formula adapted in next to no time. Endpoint not recognized correctly? tibase can help here as well. You can evaluate the curve again. And you do not have to worry about the documentation of your determinations. Using the history function, tibase automatically records all alterations. Of course, the original version even of imported determinations can be restored at any time. All the information at a glance: All the determination data, the method and the instrument confi guration used are available immediately in the information window.

5 Highest security standards met Signatures to protect against wilful manipulation of data You can provide digital signatures for your determinations. tibase offers signatures at two levels. As soon as a determination has a level 2 signature, the data are securely protected against further alterations. Report generator customized analysis reports The unique report generator gives you complete freedom to arrange your analytical report layout as you want. You can adapt one of the many report templates to suit your particular requirements. There is no limit to what you can do; you can include any imaginable information in your tibase report. To generate a report, all you need to do is highlight the relevant determination in the database and select a report template. The report can then be sent comfortably by . Data export data processing à la carte If you want to process your data further in Excel or are planning to include tibase in your LIMS, a wide range of export formats is available, including the modern XML format. All imaginable Office applications, databases and long-term archiving programs are available for your data, including a list of measuring points. You could not have more flexibility! Control chart fast identification of outliers tibase can produce a control chart for your determinations at the touch of a button. Print it out, create a pdf document, or, using copy-paste, include the control chart directly in another, e.g. Office, application. 05 Practical: With the control chart you can combine results into one view and thereby identify outliers quickly. Flexible: Defi ne your report layout as you want. The report editor gives you all possibilities and even allows you to include company-specifi c logos.

6 Intelligent client-server solutions with tibase Multi 06 Client/ server database tibase Multi enables central data administration by way of the client-server- option. But even if you set up tibase as a stand-alone workstation, you can integrate the system into a client-server network at any time to meet increasing demands. Central control Thanks to modern user administration, the administrator determines which data and functions should be available to which users. As a result, it is possible to set up the simplest interfaces with the necessary access restrictions according to the employee s task and function. From now on you will administer your data centrally all determinations will be stored on the server. They can be viewed and reprocessed by all client PCs. Convenient: In «User administration» you can defi ne the relevant users. Individual access rights can be allocated to the user groups. Thus, for example, you can prevent any modifi cation of data by a user right from the time of login.
