1 FEBRUARY 2017 DOCUMENT ID: SALI TITLE: SENTINEL ALI 4.0 RELEASE PRIORITY: MEDIUM CLASSIFICATION: B EFFECTIVE DATE: FEBRUARY 28, 2017 INTRODUCTION With the world of mission-critical communications ever-changing, Airbus DS Communications knows how important it is to design with an open mind. As part of this effort, Airbus is announcing the release of Sentinel ALI 4.0. This Product Change Notice (PCN) provides part numbers, product information and ordering information for this release. BACKGROUND Sentinel ALI is a complete ALI database solution for emergency call centers. It can be used as a private ALI database or as a platform for providing services to call centers. A number of optional modules, such as DBMS, WebALI and WebDBMS, may be used in conjunction with Sentinel ALI for managing the database or providing additional operational capabilities. PRODUCT ENHANCEMENTS Sentinel ALI 4.0 introduces the following enhancements: PRODUCT FEATURE/ENHANCEMENT DESCRIPTION Sentinel ALI Report Modification Standardized the look and feel across reports. Additionally, users have the ability to add a company logo. Held Logs Sort Order In the ALI Table, held logs are now set to descending order by default. PSAP Table and Links Configuration Ability to group Links by PSAP and assign to users. ESN Report Fire field is now rendered with the ESN report. IPSR Added IPSR is now an available option under Selective Router Type.
2 PRODUCT FEATURE/ENHANCEMENT DESCRIPTION Sentinel ALI DBMS Report Modification Standardized the look and feel across reports. Additionally, users have the ability to add a company logo. PBX Configuration Company ID2 can now be entered when creating new records. Service Order Provider Maintenance FoCR Customer Export Configuration Group Member Configuration ALI Summary Query Report DBMS/WebDBMS Metrics Customer Count Report Mask Customer Name WebDBMS User Maintenance Grid Exact Query Option FoCR Output ESN When selecting FoCR for import type, Use Street Suffix Alternates, Use Street Alternates, and Move Suffix to Street during import are no longer available as these options do not pertain to FoCR. Data populated in the Company ID field is now retrained within the Customer Export Configurations screen when the record is saved and closed. The inactive Bypass Input / Output configuration display can be turned off in the group member screen by a group owner. Report availability can be set on a user s account relative to the ALI(s) that host their link(s). This option has the ability to mix and match. Ability to make available metrics related data (for example, ALI Query Summary Report) to Web users based on the actual ALI(s) that hosts their link(s). The Search by County field has been added to the query panel. Mask Customer name is now available for Customer Exports. Users can now add columns for WebPBX users and make Name fields editable. Ability to query for exact matches. Ability to control the output ESN on a FoCR validation level given an ESN/NPA/NXX and ASI combination. Sentinel ALI WebALI Internet Explorer Compatibility WebALI is now compatible with Internet Explorer versions 9, 10, and 11. Report Modification Standardized the look and feel across all reports and tables in our web products. Additionally, users have the ability to add a company logo. Version Number Display The Version number is now displayed in the toolbar.
3 PRODUCT FEATURE/ENHANCEMENT DESCRIPTION Sentinel ALI WebDBMS Internet Explorer Compatibility WebDBMS is now compatible with Internet Explorer versions 9, 10, and 11. Report Modification Standardized the look and feel across all reports and tables. Additionally, users have the ability to add a company logo. Customer Active Changes The change option in the function field is now available on customer records without having to toggle between Change and Delete. MSAG Export Configuration Query now allows the State field to be populated. DBMS/WebDBMS Metrics Ability to make metrics related data (for example: ALI Query Summary Report) available to Web users based on the actual ALI(s) that hosts their link(s). Query Panel of MSAG Export Configuration Now conforms to WebDBMS user profile criteria for offered drop-down selections on state and ESN. MSAG/Customer Export Configuration Street Suffix within Pending Changes Mask Customer Name Compatibility for Chrome Pending Discrepancies Changes Customer Pending Changes Archive Customer Correction Archive Only Customer Mass Change The ability to configure access to Customer Export Configurations and MSAG Export Configurations independently is now available. The Street Suffix field character limit is now 4 characters. This allows BLVD for Pending Changes records in the Customer Table to be entered. Customer Export now has the Mask Customer Name All option. This option replaces all customer names with Private Citizen. Similarly, the Mask Customer Name Non Pub option replaces all customer names of records with Type of Service equal to 0, 3, 4 or 5 with Private Citizen. Compatibility for Chrome: Chrome compatibility is now available. Reports and closeouts now contain the option to save records Pending Discrepancies Changes as No Update Required. A snap shot of an Active Pending Change request has been added. An additional option on close out has been added. A Mass Change option for approvers has been added.
4 MSAG Report An added check box now allows associated agencies to be displayed if selected. PRODUCT FEATURE/ENHANCEMENT DESCRIPTION Sentinel ALI WebDBMS Ability to Add Site Name The Settings table can now be updated through the DBMS client to display the site name in DBMS. Version Number Display The Version number is now displayed in the toolbar. PRODUCT ISSUES / RESOLUTION This release resolves the following product issues: PRODUCT ISSUE RESOLUTION Sentinel ALI Sentinel ALI DBMS Sentinel ALI DBMS Sentinel ALI WebDBMS Customer Report Response Time WebPBX DBMS Aging Detail Report Event Log Report: No Record Found (NRF) The customer report now renders data. Multiple TN ranges are no longer allowed in SOP Maintenance. In the query panel, enter search criteria and select Show Records Older Than. The report will now correctly return records older than the set criteria. The Event Log Report can now be exported to Excel for No Record Found calls. PREREQUISITE / APPLICABLE PRODUCTS Sentinel ALI and Sentinel WebALI 4.0 Software Requirements: Sentinel ALI 3.3, 3.6 Windows 7 or 10 (32 and 64-bit) for client workstations Windows Server 2008 R2 or 2012 R2 (32 and 64-bit) for the Servers SQL 2012 or 2014 Internet Explorer (IE) 11 or higher or Chrome Adobe Reader 9.0 or higher Microsoft Excel is recommended but not required. Sentinel ALI 4.0 Minimum Hardware Requirements: 1-99 PSAP Links Memory: 8 GB SQL Server: MS SQL Express and MS SQL Management Studio Express Hard Drive: 300GB (SCSI) in RAID5 Networking: 1Gb Serial Ports: one (1) serial port is needed for each PSAP controller connected
