DBMS Questions for IBPS Bank Exam DBMS Questions for IBPS Bank Exam - In this article, we provided the study material of DBMS for the IBPS exam.you can answer the question based on topic. Candidate those who are preparing for the IBPS Exam (Clerk, PO, SO) and others can use these tricks. Candidate can do download in PDF format. What is DBMS(?????????????????????) DBMS(?????????????????????) :A database is a planned collection of data. It is the collection of schemes, tables, queries, reports, views, and other objects. The data are classically organized to model aspects of reality in a way that supports processes requiring information, such as modeling the availability of rooms in hotels in a way that supports finding a hotel with vacancies. Terms related to DBMS Data It is any input which has been processed. It can be in numeric, alphabetic or alphanumeric form. Database It is simply a location where all the data are collected and stored in an organized manner. Management system In government officers, there are peons who are responsible for keeping the files in the right place, bringing required files to the senior officers, putting it back again after updating the files etc., this is nothing but the system of file management in the office. Simply DBMS is a software, (i) which helps a user in creating a collection of records and information and storing them on the computer in a systematic way (database), (ii) it also helps in organizing, sorting and retrieval of the records/information from the database, when required by the user, to help the user in decision making (management system). 1 / 5
Types of Database management system Different types of DBMS are as follows:- 1. Hierarchical database 2. Network database 3. Relational database 4. Object oriented database Hierarchical database In the hierarchical database, one data is secondary of another data which represents a relationship between parent and child. 2 / 5
Network database Network database acts a relationship between many to many data of the database. It is a arrangement in a form of the graph. Relational database It is also called RDBMS. RDBMS shows three relations between relationship, domain and attributes. In RDBMS, we used rows and columns for database structure. Object oriented database The object-oriented database consists two object elements a piece of data and instructions. But they are costly for develop. 3 / 5
Applications of DBMS There are some applications or areas of DBMS:- Banking: Banks uses database for all details of customer accounts, loans and other transactions. Airlines: Airlines uses online database for reservation, arrival and departure of the planes, schedule information etc. Education: Schools, colleges and universities use database for course details, registration, examination details, result etc. Credit card transactions: It is used to keep track of purchases on credit cards to generate statements. Telecommunications: Telecommunication department uses database to store information about telephone numbers, details of calls, generating bills etc. E-commerce: It uses online databases for buying and selling of products, online transaction processing, internet marketing etc. Finance: It uses database for storing information such as sales, stocks, bonds etc. Sales: it uses databases for storing product details, transaction and customer details. Human resources: Organizations use databases for storing information about employees, salaries, tax, salary checks etc. Benefits of DBMS 1. Faster storage and retrieval time. 2. Accessing data is easy and fast 3. Data integrity (credibility of the data) and security. 4. Backups and recovery are possible only in digital world. Limitations of DBMS 1. The difficulty of the functionality makes a complex piece of software. 2. Size of difficulty makes many of software which inhabits many MBs. 3. Sometimes its performance is very typical to create. 4. The cost of DBMS is higher for structured. 4 / 5
Powered by TCPDF ( IBPS Result & Government Jobs 2016 Functions of DBMS There are some functions of DBMS are as follows :- 1. Data Dictionary Management. 2. Data Storage Management. 3. Data Transformation and Presentation. 4. Security Management. 5. Multi user Access Control. 6. Backup and Recovery Management. 7. Data Integrity Management. 8. Database Access Languages and Application Programming Interfaces. 9. Database Communication interfaces.
