1 Instructions for users of the TWINT merchant app Welcome to the TWINT merchant portal! You have successfully registered for and/or logged into the merchant portal. You can now complete the registration process: create your stores, review transactions, download reports and order stickers and other materials in the shop. 1

3 Step 1: select payment solution and create store General The process for entering a new store is divided into four parts. 1 Basic details: information (name, address and logo) on your store to be displayed in the app and in the store-finder function at 2 Connection: add devices and cashiers, indicate the account to be used for the daily settlement of revenues and your supported customer loyalty programmes/loyalty schemes. 3 Summary: check and save the details. 4 Confirmation Create store Select Merchant app on the homepage or Add merchant app under the Stores menu item in the left-hand navigation bar. In order to edit an existing store, go to the Stores menu item and select the pencil symbol behind the relevant store. Please note: would you simply like to add a new device to an existing store? If so, click on the edit symbol next to the existing store in question. You can then add an additional device under Devices. 3

4 1.1. Basic details Store These details will be displayed to your customers in the TWINT app and, if desired, also on the TWINT website. Logo Upload a logo and banner which will be displayed to your customers in the TWINT app and, if desired, on the TWINT website (store finder). Recommended image size PNG or JPEG 1280 x 352 px max. 300 KB. Define whether your store should be displayed on the TWINT website or not. Should you wish for your store to be displayed, the activation procedure will be completed within one week after the first successful transac - tion. If you would like to be listed in the store-finder function, please activate the relevant checkbox when creating the store or upon subsequently editing the store. 4

5 1.2. Connection Select cashiers Assign at least one cashier to your merchant app (multiple selection possible). The store s cashiers can log into all of the merchant apps (devices) allocated to the store and thus collect payments. Devices You can collect payments using several devices (smartphone or tablet) at each store. Enter at least one device with a clear name (to ensure that the device can be clearly identified) and protect your device using a password. The device name and password serve as your login details each time you wish to use the merchant app. Credit account To which postal or bank account should your TWINT revenues be credited? Please select an appropriate account or add an account. You can enter a different account for each store or use the same account for the settlement of revenues at all stores. Please also enter the store name so that pay ments can be clearly allocated during the settlement process. Comment on bank statement: only required if registering without a commercial register entry! For verification purposes, please upload a bank statement for the specified account. The following must be visible: company or name, address, IBAN or account number. 5

6 Loyalty schemes TWINT offers its customers the option to save cards for various customer loyalty programmes within the TWINT app. Should you support one of the displayed loyalty schemes, you can activate the relevant programmes. Please note: for customers who have saved the relevant card, TWINT will then transmit the loyalty scheme customer number to the cash register each time a payment is made. The processing of this information must be ensured by the cash-register software. 7 1.3. Summary Check all of your details again and edit these if necessary. Click on Save to create the store Confirmation You have now completed the process and created your store in the merchant portal. We have sent you a confirmation containing your details. For legal reasons, you will also receive a confirmation by post for your initial registration for your records. 7

8 Step 2: next steps The next steps are indicated to you in the confirmation screen. These next steps may include the following: 2.1. Download merchant app Download the merchant app in the Google Play Store or Apple App Store Merchant app access code To enable us to clearly allocate your device, you must enter the following access code on your device upon logging in for the first time. Then enter your recorded login details (device name and password) as usual. We have also sent you the access code via Add additional store Enter an additional store with TWINT. Please note: inform employees Inform and train your employees as soon as TWINT has been successfully integrated in your store. 8

9 Step 3: other merchant portal functions Settings You can manage your users and cashiers under Settings. Transactions You can view the individual transactions in the Transactions area. Downloads In the Downloads area, you can access your daily statements (daily closings) as.raf,.csv and.pdf files. Shop You benefit with TWINT every time a payment is made. You should there - fore advertise TWINT actively with your customers. We will provide you with the advertising materials free of charge. Please note: you do not require a Beacon for the merchant app! Please note: you do not require a Beacon for the merchant app. Would you still like to increase the visibility of TWINT in your store? Order the dummy TWINT Beacon. Pay with QR code in the TWINT shop. This reminds your customers that they can pay in your store via the QR code. You can now get started! We hope you and your customers enjoy using TWINT. 9
