2 CheckPoint Software Release Notes V B B28 Release: None Fixed Issue when creating reports, the description in the head only allowed a small amount of information.
3 CheckPoint Software Release Notes V B28 Overview: CheckPoint Software V B27 includes bug fixes summarized in Table A. No enhancements or new features were added between V9.3.9 B24 and V B27. NOTE: Prior to updating / upgrading to V B27, please verify your SQL database is SQL Server 2008 Express / Standard or SQL Server V B27 is not fully compatible with SQL Server 2005 or earlier versions of SQL. Please contact your sales representative or support@tempsys.net if you have questions regarding this prerequisite. Table A Summary of New Features- V9.3.9 B24 to V B27 Item Description Notes & Comments Update Path Update to V B27 from CheckPoint Software V9.3.9 B24, or lower, or upgrade from any version of V8.X.Y. 4 CheckPoint Software Release Notes V B28 Bug fixes are summarized in Table A. Table A Summary of Bug Fixes - V9.3.9 to V B27 Bug Fixes Item Bug Description Notes & Comments Users couldn t be added when temperature units preference (F or C) was not specified Fixed issue with adding users after updating older versions with invalid temperature preferences. Corrective Action Report Does not filter by group for Print or Snapshot functions. Clearing No Sensor Contact (NSC) and Probe Unplugged displays "repeater" Service repeatedly resending s with invalid recipients. G4 Humidity values below 0.5% results in a very high, incorrect value (655%) Corrected issue with the corrective action report not filtering by equipment group when printing or saving a snapshot. Clearing "No Sensor Contact" and "Probe Unplugged" alerts now display the correct message. Service no longer resends s containing invalid recipients. G4 Humidity values lower than 0.5% will no longer be recorded as 655% 4
5 CheckPoint Software Release Notes V B28 Bug Fixes Table A Summary of Bug Fixes - V9.3.9 to V B27 (Cont) Item Bug Description Notes & Comments Sensors that were assigned to invalid diagnosis configurations were not displayed in the equipment list. Sensors assigned to diagnostic categories without diagnostic actions are now properly displayed in the equipment list. Sensors that were assigned to the previous diagnosis configuration category were not displayed in the equipment list. Alerts do not appear for duplicate sensor IDs. The equipment list now properly displays sensors assigned to the last diagnosis configuration category. Renaming or changing sensor information should always display an alert if a duplicate sensor ID exists. 6 CheckPoint Software Release Notes V B B27 Release: All data collection may fail on systems with two or more network cards Bug Fixes Fixed issue with adding users after updating older versions with invalid temperature preferences. Corrected issue with the corrective action report not filtering by equipment group when printing or saving a snapshot. Clearing "No Sensor Contact" and "Probe Unplugged" alerts now display the correct message. Service no longer resends s containing invalid recipients. G4 Humidity values lower than 0.5% are no longer recorded as 655% Sensors assigned to diagnostic categories without diagnostic actions are now properly displayed in the equipment list. The equipment list now properly displays sensors assigned to the last diagnosis configuration category. 7 9.3.9 B24 Release: Bug Fixes Corrected login screen to check lockout options (e.g., user account locked out after three unsuccessful login attempts) correctly. Corrected logout function to correctly call the correct lockout functions on return login Corrected issue with lockout notification window, should now automatically select the "OK" button instead of selecting the top text box of the window for text entry. Removed View Map option when user right clicks in the Current Alerts window B22 Release: Bug Fixes E Alerts support entry in degrees Fahrenheit For Fahrenheit users, the second channel in dual-probe sensors now correctly displays values in Fahrenheit instead of Celsius. The main Status window should no longer reposition itself after viewing graphs or reports. Fix for door column incorrectly showing up in the numeric table for single probe sensors. Fixed issue where Corrective Action History report was unable to be printed. 7
8 Duplicate recipients can no longer be entered. Fixed rare issue where service can loop, resending some s. Fixed issue where users could not be changed after updating from older databases. Entering custom hours for the temperature graph, or numeric table, will now deactivate switching between graphs and tables. Corrected issue where G2 sensor messages could be incorrectly reported as low battery. Fixed C to F conversions in E-Alert tab Fixed C to F conversions on Dual probe long cable Network status window got wider to not truncate text as often Fixed a 1 pixel off error on the background image. (showed as a white line in the top right hand corner of the chart.) Fixed a bug that caused humidity limits to sometimes appear with too many decimal places (e.g ) Fixed a bug editing temperature settings was not being recorded in settings change history Fixed a bug that kept the average temperature report from running at all Dual probe fix allowing sync'd probes to correctly alert based on Max Differential Temperature. Corrected issue with Corrective Action History not printing correctly. Scheduled Reminders should now repeat correctly. Scheduled reminders will now always trigger a new alert even if an older alert is still open. Setting Changes for sensors should now be tracked correctly New Feature & Enhancements Summary: Mean Kinetic Temperature is displayed in Chart and Numeric Table windows Generic 4-20 ma sensors may be added by users. Support for voice calls from Fax2Me.com in response to alerts was added. The service has enhanced security and should be compatible with webmail providers such as gmail HL7 export now includes non-temperature data Reports changed to SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Full Active Directory compatibility and support o Checkpoint authentication is not available as a fall back if AD is enabled. o Corrective action credential entry now validates against AD when enabled o Add Logout menu for multiple users on one computer with AD Sensor Names Changeable after a permanent Asset Tag ID is entered into CheckPoint Emergency Alerts settings can be made in Celsius, Fahrenheit or applicable units for monitored parameter Build 30 Release: 8
9 Bug Fixes Clicking on the change database button with a blank database entry selected would crash the client. Now displays an error. Pressing F1 for help on the edit user window crashed the client. Now shows help content. Fixed problem with missing equipment on printed report when "Area managers" group deleted Equipment list last modified column now displays time equipment was last changed instead of zero Fixed potential memory access error when UDP data from unknown device arrives in the temperature service. Fixed a service bug that would sometimes cause alert start time to read "err" in differential temperature alerts for dual probe sensors New Feature Summary: Calibration offsets added. Support for G1 sensors removed Min/Max/Average added to data views Build 30 Release (Continued): Detailed Change Summary Rich Client Clear False alert functions renamed to Quick Clear Min/Max/Average added to Numeric table printed report Min/Max/Average added to Chart window and printed report Now contains build numbers, displayed on login splash window. Build numbers are read from a new file buildnum in the application folder. Edit comment on main window background color changed from dark gray to yellow Edit comment on current reading report window background color changed from dark gray to white. 9
10 Equipment list window: column header logging interval changed to Plot interval. Matches change to edit window. Equipment list window: wider to reduce horizontal scrolling. The "include in reports" checkbox on the edit equipment window was removed. Visual placement of remaining controls (G1 selection was also removed) in the edit equipment window was revised Detailed Change Summary Temperature Service: No sensor contact s are not generated until the service has been running for at least 20 minutes. This prevents mass no sensor contact alerts when a server goes down. DST changes are being watched for, to prevent NSC alert spam when time shifts The no sensor contact algorithm has been optimized to reduce system load. The computational expense of no sensor contact alerts has been reduced by 90% HL7 export stream now includes all non-temperature data. Capped the HL7 export queue at 512 pending messages. When the limit is reached, the oldest message is removed from the queue before a new message is inserted Detailed Change Summary SMTP Service Mass ings, such as No Sensor Contact floods when the server goes down are now reduced. All s with the same recipient list will be merged together. A merged has the subject line "You have multiple Checkpoint Alerts" The body of the merged contains the concatenated bodies of all the individual s. Fixed a condition (single pending in the queue) that caused a single message to be delivered twice Release (Not Released): Scheduled Task Reminders are incorrectly sending to the first group instead of the escalation associated with the selected sensor. Checkpoint Server Installer does not automatically create Firewall exceptions for SQL Server. 10
11 Bug Fixes Updated current temperature report to show third channels and min/max values. Improved loading and saving time on the current temperature report Changed Current Temperature report to only show reporting channels. Updated the export functionality to include extra channels. Daily Temperature report now displays second temperature of three channel sensors. Checkpoint server installer now enables TCP/IP and Named Pipes on SQL server installation. Checkpoint server installer now enables the SQL Browser on installation. Checkpoint now correctly detects when a SQL R2 server has a combined database and log size exceeding 10 gigabytes. The monitor service will properly close all connections to the SQL server. Added Features: The updater for the Checkpoint server will now update the SQL DB instead of the checkpoint client and server applications. Added Wi-Fi G4 Sensor support. IP addresses for Access Points and Wi-Fi sensors have been moved into the database. Added support for Active Directory and Windows Authentication login methods. Checkpoint server now installs SQL 2008 R2 with a 10 gigabyte database limit. The server will now maintain up to 10 G2logs Month at-a-glance Report added Release (Not Released): Status: 01/01/12 initial changes. Scheduled Task Reminders are incorrectly sending to the first group instead of the escalation associated with the selected sensor. escalation levels were allowed to be identical when a constraint should have prevented this. Updaters did not include the correct update code, installers already did. Daily Temperature report does not display second temperature of three channel sensors. 11
12 Corrected service to correctly send s with no subject. Corrected service to handle non-standard characters in subject lines. (Such as Degree symbols.) Thin Client no longer causes rich clients to lock up after viewing a graph. Thin Client fix for switching from Fahrenheit to Celsius when a Celsius user logs in. Updated temperature service to handle negative differential air pressure readings of correctly. It will no longer display no probe at this value Release (Not Released):. Bug fixes: Corrected No Probe status for valid differential pressure sensor readings Release: Two main changes: Added the DST fix and the corrected versioning. (These will correctly report as 9.0.5) Scheduled Task Reminders are incorrectly sending to the first group instead of the escalation associated with the selected sensor. Bug fixes: Corrected issue where Daylight Savings Time changes could cause No Sensor Contact conditions. 12

Corrected a case where escalation looping could not be disabled for existing sensors Release: G4 Humidity sensors only reading in full integer degrees, should read two decimal places of accuracy. (0.00 %) escalation looping defaults to On after update, causing all escalations with updated existing servers to loop. escalation looping cannot be turned off in some specific instances. Scheduled Task Reminders are incorrectly sending to the first group instead of the escalation associated with the selected sensor. 13
