Sub-station location to be at Site B. Stakeholders were not aware that the final footprint is 40 ha, not the 150 ha investigated. 40 ha can be tolerated. 2. In-Coming lines: To follow existing 400Kva North of the Heatonville irrigation scheme directly into Sub-station Site B. This avoids the agricultural impact as well as inland informal settlements by following an existing corridor. 3. Outgoing lines North. From Substation site B, the lines can circumnavigate the farm lands and a corridor of least impact exits between the commercial farms and the triabl land which will have minimal impact. 4. Outgoing lines South: These too will follow existing corridors and will require some relocation of informal settlements, but nowhere near as populated as the other alternatives. We appeal as stakeholders to the Department issuing the ROD s to look at the consolidated approach indicated above to find a sustainable solution for all involved. We have posted the same information to all whom have registered as an Interested and Affected party. Please find attached the comment sheet in another format of MS Word - some stakeholders said they have difficulty opening a.docx document (Microsoft Office 2007). Also attached is the shape files of the alternatives routes which are described in the Final Scoping Report. We have sent a map to you on 21 January 2011 showing these alternatives. Several stakeholders requested the shape files for further information. This information is only usable with the appropriate GIS software. Please assist us in spreading the information as far and wide as possible to persons that may be affected. Should you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
