3 Home Page Overview Once you log in to the new Citizens & Northern Bank Online Banking, the home page will contain a listing of all of your accounts viewable to you, similar to the screen shot below. On this screen the accounts will list the Current Balance and either the Available Balance or it will say Today s Transactions in red, which would indicate that transactions posted to the account that day. Also on the home page you will see an Account Summary that will show you a portfolio of all of your accounts in online banking and the percentage in each account of your overall relationship with Citizens & Northern. On the left hand side of the home page are additional menus such as Online Activity Center, Messages, Transactions, etc. On the right hand side of the home page is a Quick Actions Menu that gives you quicker access to Transfer Money Now and to either Enroll in Bill Pay or if already enrolled to View All Bills Now.
4 Accounts can be grouped by clicking and dragging the desired account to the lower right corner of the screen, where a new group icon will appear. Once the accounts are grouped together as desired the group names can be edited by clicking on the pencil icon next to each one. New Group Icon Account Details From the home page, you can click on each of your accounts separately to see the account s transaction history. Click on the details icon to see the account details. If you have a question about your account you can click on the Message Box icon link shown in the top right corner of the Account Details page and this will allow you to send a message to Citizens & Northern Bank.
5 The transaction history will show you a listing of all transactions on the account. You can sort the list in order by date, description, or amount by clicking on the triangle icon next to the heading you wish to sort by. When the triangle is facing down, the items will be sorted in descending order and if you click on the triangle again, the triangle will point upwards and the items will be sorted in ascending order. By clicking on the Export feature circled below in red, you can export the transaction history to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, or another software such as Quicken or Quickbooks for account reconciliation. Edit Accounts From the home screen you can create groups for your accounts and edit the name of the groups by clicking the pencil icon at the end of the account heading as seen below. You can also print your home screen by clicking on the printer icon to the right or you can hide your groups by clicking the triangle icon.
6 Account Summary The Account Summary section shows you an interactive chart of your overall assets with Citizens & Northern Bank. You can click on each piece of the chart and to the right of the chart you will see the available and current balance in the account you clicked on. You can also click on the view transactions link for that account and you will be taken to the Account Details page for that account to see the transaction history. Quick Actions Menu The Quick Actions Menu provides quicker access to the Funds Transfer page and to the Bill Pay page. With one click of a button you can be taken to the Funds Transfer page to quickly move funds between your accounts.
7 Funds Transfer The Funds Transfer screen allows you to transfer funds between your accounts. By clicking on the arrow in the From box, you can select the account you want to transfer from and likewise by clicking on the arrow in the To box you can select the account you want to transfer to. Simply enter the amount you want to transfer in the Amount box and if you want to set the transfer up to happen on a recurring basis you may click the Make this a recurring transaction box to place a checkmark in the box. When you check this box, an additional box will appear asking you how often should this transfer repeat? You can select the frequency for the recurring transaction and select a start date and an end date. If you do not want to select an End Date, then you will need to check the Repeat Forever box. You can also give the transaction a description by typing in the Memo box. See the below screen shot for an example of a recurring transaction. When you have all of the information entered for your transfer, click the Transfer Funds button.
8 If your transfer is authorized you will see the following screen: You can then click the Close button or click View in Activity Center to view your scheduled transfer.
9 Bill Pay Under Transactions you can click on Bill Payment and then on Enroll Now if you are not currently enrolled in our Bill Pay product. The above screen will show you a list of payees you already have set up and will allow you to make multiple payments to different payees all at once. You can click on More Options to delete a payee or to create new payees click on Add Payee, both options are circled in red in the picture above. You can visit the Bill Pay site to see all of your payees, payments, etc. by clicking on Visit Bill Pay Site under the More Options drop down. This will open another window in your browser to open the external Bill Pay site.
10 Online Activity Center The Single Transactions tab in the Online Activity Center shows you all Funds Transfers that have been processed or have been authorized by you to occur on a future date. You can also click on the Recurring Transactions tab to see your recurring transactions you have set up. Finally you can click on Deposited Checks to see all checks you have submitted through our Mobile Deposit feature. If you click on Filters you will get more options available to you to be able to sort the types of transactions that appear in your search. As shown in the screen shot below, you can search by type of transaction, status, account, and by a specified date range.
11 Messages This is an area where you will receive messages from Citizens & Northern Bank for alerts you have subscribed to for your online banking. You can also initiate a secure message conversation with a customer service representative by clicking on the New Conversation button. Transactions As you can see from the screen shot above, the Transactions menu is another way you can access the Funds Transfer page and the Bill Pay page similar to the Quick Actions Menu on the home page. See the Quick Actions Menu section in this user s guide for more details about the Funds Transfer and Bill Pay screens. e-statements/notices From the e-statements/notices menu you can view your electronic statements and e-delivery preferences. To view your statements simply select the account, the statement cycle, and click Get Statement. The statement will open in a new
12 window on your screen. Select e-delivery preferences to opt in or out of electronic statements. Services From the Services menu you will find the option to enroll in Mobile Banking, Text Banking, a Check Re-Order link and a stop payment request. Settings From the Settings menu you can change your password for Online Banking on the Security Preferences page; change your mailing address, phone numbers, or address on the Address Change page; and subscribe to the different alert features we provide to you on the Alerts page. By clicking on Account Preferences under the Settings menu, you can give your accounts nicknames so they are more easily identifiable to you and you can move them up or down in order of importance by clicking the arrows to the right of each account. You can also set account nicknames for online and text banking. The last feature from the Settings menu is your Profile. This page will show your name, address, mailing address, and phone numbers.
13 Branches The Branches menu will show you a map of the location of all 26 of our branch offices and will also show the physical address for each branch. You can also click the ATMs button to see a map of the location of all Citizens & Northern Bank ATMs and the physical address for each ATM. Help The Help menu will open a new browser window and will provide further assistance with common tasks performed in our Online Banking such as viewing account details, paying a bill, tranferring funds, depositing a check, etc. Live Chat We have a Live Chat feature where you can communicate online with a knowledgeable Citizens & Northern Bank customer service representative. By clicking on Live Chat you will be asked to enter your Name and Initial Question or
14 reason for the live chat. Upon entering your name and question, you will need to click the Start Chat button in the lower right corner of your screen. Log Off The last menu button on the home page is the button you will need to click to log off of your online banking.
