1 JOB AID SEARCH AND APPLY FOR NEW VACANCIES External candidates will use this guide to walk through how to search and apply for open vacancies. 1. Register in Oracle. You can access this from Apply Online Employment link on the LCPS Homepage. 2. Click on Register today if this is your first time to our Job Site. 3. On the Registration page, enter your , Last Name, and First Name. Then create a Password for your account.

2 4. Click Submit to create an account. 5. Upload your resume by clicking on the Browse button and selecting your file. Then click Continue. 6. In the Enter Personal Information section of the registration enter your Address, Source Details, Phone Number, and Documents. 6a. Enter your Mailing Address and Address. Tip: Use the hourglass symbol to search in the Address fields

3 6b. Enter your Source Details. How did you hear about us? 6c. Enter your Phone Numbers and best times to call. 6d. Upload any additional Documents (i.e. References, Transcripts, Certifications, Licenses, Awards, etc.) Click on Add Another Document. Once you are done adding documents, click Next. NOTE: It is important to upload your References here

In the Add Qualifications and Skills section, you will add your Employment History, Skills, Education Qualifications, and Additional Qualifications NOTE: Your application will not be considered if you do not fill out the Employment History 7a. To add Employment History and/or Education Qualifications, click on the green plus sign. 7b. To add Skills click on the Add Another Skill button. 7c. To add Additional Qualifications click on the Add Another Qualification button. 7d. Click Next at the Bottom Right OR Top Corner of the screen once you have uploaded all of your documents and added all your information.

5 8. In the Enter Preferences section you will enter the Job Categories you are interested in, Preferences, and any Accessibility Preferences. 8a. Entering this criteria will help find the right jobs for you. To select multiple Job Category options at once, hold SHIFT and select each Job Category option with the LEFT CLICK of your mouse. 9. Once you are done entering your Preferences, click Finish to complete your registration on.

6 10. You will receive Confirmation of your registration and a list of matching jobs will populate. You are now ready to apply.

7 1. To search for jobs at LCPS to apply to, click on the Jobs tab. 2. To perform a simple search you must search on at least one of the following: Keywords, City Location, or Date Posted. NOTE: To view all vacancies, enter All on the Date Posted search option, then click Go. 3. Once you find an opportunity of interest, you can click on the Vacancy Name to review details. If you would like to apply, simply click on Apply Now.

8 4. The Review Account section of your application will list all of the Basic Details you entered on your registration. Please verify the information is correct. This section allows you to upload additional documents applicable to the vacancy. Click Next to continue when finished with this section. NOTE: It is important to update your Employment History and References in this section 5. The Enter Application Details section includes our Equal Employment Opportunity statement. Click Next to continue. 6. The Enter Disability Information section is the Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability form. Click Next to continue. 7. The Enter Veteran Information section is the Voluntary Self-Identification of Veterans form. Click Next to continue. 8. The Questionnaire section MUST be completed accurately. Please be sure to answer EVERY question or your application will not be considered. Changes to your questionnaire CANNOT be made once submitted to LCPS. Click Next to continue.

9 9. Important: Questionnaire can be two pages in some cases. Click Next to answer questions on Page Once you have completed the Questionnaire, click Finish Questionnaire. You then have the option to Return to Questionnaire to change your answers or Submit Questionnaire. Then click Next 11. Please confirm the Review page, then click Finish. 12. You will receive Confirmation your application was submitted.
