4 CUSTOMIZE YOUR WORK SPACE When you work with a contact, you may want to check the information at the company level, which currently involves switching between the contact record and the company record. You also need to check the latest notes to find out what has happened recently which then involves switching between the Details tab and the Notes tab. To help you work more efficiently, a new Custom Tab has been introduced in this release which allows you to customize your work space and see all the information you need in one place. The Custom Tab is now available in the Address Book module and allows you to add widgets for Contacts, Notes and Key Fields into a single view. DATA SHEET Feature Guide Review (April 2018)
5 CONTACTS WIDGET The Contacts widget displays the company/individual and all the contacts of the company/individual. The selected entry is highlighted. The following fields are displayed for each entry: Name Position (if the selected entry is a contact) Last contacted date addresses Phone numbers Website You can click an address to open the compose dialog or click on the phone number to open a Call dialog. Selecting a contact entry in the Contacts widget will change the data displayed in the Notes and Key Field widgets. All the following tabs will display the data of the selected contact. 6 NOTES WIDGET The Notes widget displays the most recent notes with each dot in the timeline across the widget representing a note entry. Click on a dot to view the details of the note and click on the arrow buttons to see more notes to the left or right. There are two notes created in the same date. Note type Creator You can create a new note by pressing the +ADD button. Editing notes is not supported in this release. You can then filter the notes and only display those you are interested in. 7 KEY FIELD WIDGET There are two types of Key Field widgets you can add into the Custom Tab - Key Fields for companies/individuals and for contacts. In the example below, the Key Field widget for contacts is placed on top of the widget for companies. When a company is selected in the Contacts widget, the Key Field widget for company displays the field values of the company, whereas the Key Field widget for contact is blank. 8 If a contact is selected in the Contacts widget, the Key Field widget for contact will show the field values of the selected contact. The Key Field widget for company will show the field values of the contact s company. DATA SHEET Feature Guide Review (April 2018)
9 The widget will be blank if no fields have been added into the selected Key Field list for a particular entry type. In the example below, the selected contact is a lead, but not fields for contact lead have been added into the Contact Details Key Field list therefore the Key Field widget for the contact is blank. You can change the Key Field list for the widget by pressing the arrow button. All the Key Fields that the login user has access rights to see will be available in the drop-down. The selected list will be sticky across the sessions. Editing fields in a Key Field list is not supported in this release. DATA SHEET Feature Guide Review (April 2018)
10 EDIT THE LAYOUT OF THE CUSTOM TAB The Custom Tab has a default layout. You can modify the layout to fit your needs. In this release, only the administrator can add or remove widgets and modify the layout of the tab. All the users in your company will share the same layout. However, each user can change the configuration of the widgets such as changing the filter for Notes widget or selecting a Key Field list in a Key Field widget. To change the layout of the tab, click the gear icon in Custom Tab. The icon is only visible when the login user is the administrator. In the edit mode of the Custom Tab, you can resize or reposition the widgets. You can also remove or add widgets. The title of a widget can be modified. Click here to edit the title. Click this button to open the panel for adding widgets. Drag here to reposition the widget. Drag the border to resize the widget. Press the button to remove the widget. 11 RECENT ENTRIES The recently accessed Address Book entries are always available in Maximizer, but the button for accessing these recent entries is not prominent. In this release, the recent entries are displayed when you click into the Quick Search field. Up to 10 most recently accessed entries are displayed in the drop-down. 12 NEW HELP CENTER A new help center has been introduced into Maximizer. From the help center, you will find general help items including chatting to a Maximizer Customer Service rep, accessing the user community to ask questions or submitting feature suggestions. You can also access help videos and walkthroughs for various topics and check out any new features in the latest update with the What s New section. The Help menu has been removed. To check your CRM Live storage space or version number, go to Icon Bar > Administration > Version & Storage Space. DATA SHEET Feature Guide Review (April 2018)
13 OTHER IMPROVEMENTS Outlook Add-in Indication for s that have been saved to Maximizer In Outlook, you can now mark the s that have been saved to Maximizer entries using an Outlook category. In the Preferences dialog for Maximizer Outlook add-in, a new option has been added which allows you categorize the saved . In this release, the recent entries are displayed when you click into the Quick Search field. Up to 10 most recently accessed entries are displayed in the drop-down. The category selected in the Preferences dialog are displayed in Outlook to indicate that the s have been saved. In the Notification Manager navigate to the wizard page for setting up the appearance of a notification, you ll find a new option has been added Send an when this notification arrives. 15 BUGS FIXED SINCE LAST RELEASE Characters with accents are not saved properly in appointment templates Characters with accents entered into the body of the templates are now displayed correctly. Saved s created by merge don t have all the merge fields Saved created by merge now have all the merge fields even if multiple entries have the same address. CustomActions.xml menu items don t appear in Actions Panel Add a working menu item to the CustomActions.xml file for Address Book module. The item is now available in Action Panel.
