1 ECE-TRIS: A Tool for Tracking your Success Part One: All ECE-TRIS Professionals this section of the training packet was designed for all early care and education professionals and includes the following information; How to access the website Introduction to some of the features o Training Calendar o Participant/Provider Forms o Trainer Search Area Instructions for completing the Participant Information form to gain access to system for their personal training records Contact Information for ECE-TRIS Part Two: For Directors, Owners and other Facility Contacts This section was designed for those identified as facility contacts such as owners, directors, assistant directors or other designated staff. Topics for this target audience include; How to identify contacts for a facility so directors and owners will have access to facility staff and training related reports. Written summary of reports available for facility contacts Helpful Tips for using ECE-TRIS as a Tool for Tracking your success. ECE-TRIS Goals for Early Care and Education Professionals 1. Support growth in knowledge and skills by providing data for directors, owners, trainers, individuals and policy makers so training decisions can be made based on assessed needs in the field of early care and education. 1

2 Instructions on how to access the ECE-TRIS Website Step 1 Enter our website into the address bar of your internet browser (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, etc.) Step 2 - Click on the Forms area at the top in the green banner on our homepage. Then click on Participant/Provider Forms and Resources. The Participant Information Form shown below is the first step to access into ECE-TRIS and it is available in this area of the website. Step 3 Print, Complete and submit the Personal Information Form to ECE-TRIS. Please fax or mail them to ECE-TRIS. The fax number and mailing address are located at the bottom of the forms. Please do not these as is not a secure environment to share personally identifiable information contained within the forms (dob, ssn, employer, personal address, etc.) Access to the ECE-TRIS website is granted once your Information Form/Facility-Provider Form has been entered by ECE-TRIS staff. To confirm you have successfully been entered into ECE-TRIS you can follow the login instructions below. If login is unsuccessful or you do not feel you have the appropriate access level, you will need to contact ECE-TRIS. 2

3 Instructions on how to log in and navigate the ECE TRIS website Step 1 - Enter the website into the address bar of your internet browser It s a good idea to bookmark this website or save it to your favorites. For standard username and password, click on Help with Login Login Help Username: Your username is comprised of your first name and your last name. ex.) john.doe Password: Your default password is comprised of the letters ece plus your birthday. You will be required to change this default password the first time you sign in. ex.) ece After the initial login, a Password Security Page appears and the user will be prompted to reset their password. The Retrieve Username or Password feature will the user a link to reset password to the default settings listed above. This option will only work if there is a match on the for the person. 4 Step 2 - A successful login will take you to the home page. The options available to the user on this page will be determined by the access level. All users will have the option to view their Training Record and personal information and have the option to change their password by clicking on the buttons on the right of the screen. Also note that if your name has changed, your username to log into this site will not be updated automatically. Contact us if your username needs to be changed. Step 3 Below is a Training Record Report for a user who has attended training. Training records may be viewed by selecting View My Training Record from the Home Page. 4

5 Features of the ECE-TRIS website which are available without login Training Calendar: this page will allow you to search for available trainings in your area. Trainer Search: Kentucky Credentialed Trainers who have agreed to post their contact information will be listed on this search page so you can find trainers willing to train in your area. Forms: Above we discussed some of Participant/Provider forms available in this area. We encourage you to also review the Individual Conference Attendance Form and General Q&A documents.
