1 I N T E R N A T I O N A L Website Training Manual This training manual shows you how to manage the OWIT international website and Membership System. CHAPTER ADMINISTRATOR

3 CHAPTER REGISTRATION Let's get started using OWIT Membership System A chapter must register in order to be included in the membership system. The chapter admin must be the one to register as this will be tied to their membership account. The chapter admin does not need to create a separate membership account when they register a chapter.. Select Join Us from the navigation, then Register a New Chapter from the pop up menu list. Enter the Chapter name.. Select the option that represent your chapter.. Enter the Member first and last name... Enter the address.. Enter the phone number.. Enter the password twice. 9. Select Sign Up to complete the process. PLEASE NOTE: The OWIT administrator must confirm your membership before you will be able to login to use the Membership System.

4 Let's get started using OWIT Membership System Administrator for the Chapter site will need to login with username ( used to register) and password to access the site. PLEASE NOTE: The OWIT administrator must confirm your membership before you will be able to login to use the Membership System. Login with username ( used when registering the chapter). Password (password used when registering the chapter) Chapter login ( )

5 Chapter Admin Profile Screen Administrator profile screen is the landing page for the assigned chapter admin.. PROFILE - Area to change username and password.. MY ARTICLES - Articles to share with the OWIT group... (Public). REPOSITORY - OWIT documents for members. JOB BANK - Showcase current jobs. DIRECTORY - Showcase the chapters and members (activate and delete members) Once you have logged in, you are able to access the admin area to manage the OWIT site.

6 Chapter Admin Profile Screen Administrator profile screen is the landing page for the assigned chapter admin. - This screen will be the profile for the Chapter member. - Click () to edit the chapter profile. Please note: the chapter profile will display separate from the chapter administrator. 9 0

8 Managing the OWIT site via Admin Account Once you have logged in, you are able to access the admin area to manage the OWIT site. My OWIT is the link to manage the OWIT site:. Profile - Area to change username and password.. Add/Edit Articles - Articles to share with the OWIT group...(public).. Add/Edit Events - Maintain all the events for the chapter...(public).. Add a Member - Manually add and activate members.. Member Directory - Showcase the members for the chapter. (Activate and delete members).. Job Bank - Display the list of Jobs.. Repository - OWIT documents for members. OWIT administrator manages these documents.. Sign Out - Log out of the members only area.

9 Website Training Manual - 0 I N T E R N A T I O N A L CHAPTER ADMIN ACCESS Add/Edit Articles Articles to share with the OWIT group...(public).. Select Add/Edit Articles from the MY OWIT pop up menu list.. Select ADD ARTICLES from the sub navigation bar.. Select Visible to display the article live. This must be check to be visible. If this is not checked, the article will not be displayed for others to see it.. Title - Enter the title of the article.. Description - Use this area to display additional information about the article. You may use the text widget to format the information.. File or Image - Add an image or file. You may add a downloadable file for the users or an image to display.. Delete File or Image - Delete the file or image for the article.. Submit - Always select submit when finish. 9. EDIT ARTICLES - Edit all the articles Search - Search the site for any article.. EDIT / DELETE - Edit or delete the article.

10 Add/Edit Events Maintain all the events for the chapter. (These events will displayed on the chapter page for users to see) ADD EVENTS EDIT EVENTS 9 0

11 Add a Member Manually add and activate members. Select Add Member from the MY OWIT pop up menu list. Enter the Member first and last name.. Select the member s chapter to add them to.. Enter the address.. Enter the phone number.. Enter the password twice.. Enter the start date for the member. This is the date when the member joined OWIT.. Check to make the member active. 9. Select Add Member to complete the process 9

12 Member Directory Showcase the chapters and members (Activate and delete members).. Select Member Directory from the MY OWIT pop up menu list. Search for Members - A. Enter the search criteria in the field. B. Choose a chapter. C. check inactive users for members who are not active. Please note: You do not need (A) and (B) to find inactive A B C D members. Just check the box(c) and select find member(d) D. Click to find members.. Click to view member profile.. Check to make the member active. Uncheck to make the member inactive.. Check to make the member an expert.. Click to delete the member.. Pagination - multiple pages displaying all members
