2 Customization Specializations for various control systems Programmatically Using Presets with Crestron Smart Graphics There are 3 main ways to save and recall presets with the Crestron Smart Graphics using the Autonomic MMS device symbol: 1) Using the MMS control protocol When sending MMS protocol commands within the Autonomic MMS device symbol in Crestron, all protocol commands will need to be prefixed with MMSProtocol: followed by the protocol command and send via serial string to the *_config signal. Please see KB article on storing and recalling presets Storing and Recalling the same presets to the *_config signal in the Autonomic MMS Device Symbol would look like below: MMSProtocol:StorePreset "Party Time" This will save a Preset called Party Time MMSProtocol:RecallPreset "Party Time" This recalls the Preset by name MMSProtocol:RecallPreset 9f9c8919-f939-d67a-dce2-cb049a4ead99 This recalls the Preset by unique ID 2) Using the Autonomic device symbol Serial signal *_Preset_Select_Text. To recall a preset using the *_Preset_Select_Text, you must first populate the *_Preset_Select_Text signal with only the preset name (a Serial I/O can be used for this). Once the name is populated, to recall the preset you need to pulse the digital signal *_Recall_Preset. For example to recall the Party Time preset on Player A you would send "Party Time" to Player_A_Preset_Select_Text, then pulse the digital Player_A_Recall_Preset. 3) Using the Autonomic device symbol Analog signal *_Preset_Select. To recall a preset using the *_Preset_Select, you must first populate the *_Preset_Select signal with a preset number.. Once the number is populated, to recall the preset you need to pulse the digital signal *_Recall_Preset. Presets can be stored in the same manner using the Store signals instead of the Recall. Music contented will be stored as a preset when *_Store_Preset is pulsed while that content is currently playing. Customization 1

3 Programmatically Navigate to a specific streaming service in Crestron Smart Graphics The following is how to navigate to a specific streaming service using Crestron Smart Graphics within programming: Send a Select:<ServiceName> string to the *_Config signal within the Autonomic MMS device symbol. For example to navigate directly to the Pandora streaming service on the Main player, you would send a Select:Pandora string to the serial signal Main_Config. This will lock the home button on the Media player object to the top menu of the Pandora service. To unlock the home button back to the root menu of the streaming service send the command Select:none. Sending a Select:favorites will also navigate to the favorites menu. If it is desired to have the Smart Graphics browser navigate to a specific streaming service on startup use the Startup:<ServiceName> command in the same way. 6 Crestron App Smart Graphics Media Player navigation menu unresponsive or blank when ios device goes to sleep Crestron has corrected the Crestron App Media Player reconnect issue. It has been reported that this issue causes the navigation menu to become blank or unresponsive after the ios device goes to sleep and wakes up again. In order to implement this fix the following steps maybe required: Update MMS to Firmware or greater. Update the ios Crestron app. Remove the Media Player object from the VTPro file and re-add it. Recompile and send updated GUI. Refresh the Smart Graphic extenders in Crestron Simple. If necessary reconnect signals between the Media Player Application symbol and the MediaServer Object Router (3.0) {{Message_To_Media_Player}} and {{Message_From_Media_Player}} signals must be connected between the Media Player Application symbol and the MediaServer Object Router (3.0) Recompile and send updated program Crestron App Smart Graphics Media Player navigation menu unresponsive or blank when ios device 5 goes t
