2 We are happy to introduce the Direct-Link PC Network Interfaces V4.0 software for latest Windows Operating Systems. (Released on 15/02/2011) We also added new features and tools which are listed and explained in the following slides.

6 PCNI 4.0 Software Protection Licence Software Licence based on the new Sentinel HASP technology (from SafeNet). More compatibility within user multi sessions, remote access and user rights. Virtualization Environment supported. (tested on VMware Workstation 7 and XP mode under Win 7) Old Software Protection License (V3.9 SP2 and lower) are not compatible with the V4.0 and vice versa Once activated, the software licence can not be moved to another PC.

7 PCNI 4.0 Software Protection Licence Data sheet Quick steps to activate the software licence from the data sheet you will receive with the CDROM : 1- Enter the product key. (You will be prompted to enter the Serial number) 2- Generate the.c2v file and send it to ic.support.eu@molex.com. 3- Activate the licence using the.v2c file received within 2h max (Business days) Licensing tool For further details Refer to sw_protection.pdf

8 PCNI 4.0 Hardware Protection License New USB Dongles (not compatible with V3.9 SP2 and lower) Old USB Dongles (V3.9 SP2 and lower) are not compatible with the V4.0. No more Parallel dongle available. No more Sentinel Driver needed.(for SuperPro and UltraPro keys) Virtualization Environment supported. (tested on VMware Workstation 7 and XP mode under Win 7) The USB dongle can be moved to another PC. For further details, refer to sw_protection.pdf

9 OPC Server improvements The use of an OPC client 64-bit with the PCNI OPC server 32-bit is possible. To able the connection, you must download the OPC proxy 64-bit package available on the OPC Foundation web site. Some new OPC diagnostic items (DUMP_OPC, DUMP_TOPICS, OPC_LOG) have been added to dump OPC information for monitoring and technical support purpose. The PCNI OPC server application can now run as a Windows service to able the use in user multi-session or to be access by an OPC client running as service too For further details, refer to opc.pdf

10 Running OPC Server as Windows Service The OPC Service Mode is not accessible by default (not displayed into the list of Services) To enable it, go to Start>Programs>BradCommunications>PC Network Interfaces 4.0>OPC>OPC (Register Service mode)

12 TCP/IP Network detection To scan the network and find the devices, you just have to select the IP address range and the required TCP/IP messaging IP Range to scan Protocols previously chosen into the console devices found
