Contents Installation... 1 Fixed Limitations... 1 Known Limitations... 2 Informatica Global Customer Support... 5 This document contains important information about the fixed and known limitations of RulePoint Installation This release provides support for Microsoft SQL Server and also includes an upgrade of RulePoint 6.0 to If you plan to upgrade from 6.0 to 6.0.1, you need to change the YOSEMITE_HOME environment variable to RULEPOINT_HOME. Before you install or upgrade RulePoint, verify that your system meets the minimum requirements, and follow the pre-installation steps. For more information about installation, see the RulePoint Installation Guide. Fixed Limitations The following table lists the issues that are resolved in RulePoint 6.0.1: The dashboard does not display the failure notifications from the event processor When the source controller is not able to find the JDBC driver class, deployment does not fail, because the source controller does not validate the connection information When you create a template rule, the template instructions are not displayed in the Parameters section You cannot send a new alert from the RTAM interface. 2 When there are multiple processors in the machine, the CPU statistics that are displayed on the dashboard might not be accurate in Windows You cannot create an RSS source, responder, and response if you use the date picker to select the date in Google Chrome browser. Known Limitations The following table describes known limitations: You cannot copy objects from one project to another from the RulePoint user interface. Workaround: First export the objects, and then import them into the project You can filter an object by one category at a time, but not across multiple column categories You cannot expire an event or stop an event from expiration manually. The Expires In property in a topic configuration determines the expiry of events The time interval for a source schedule is in milliseconds. If your interval is in days, hours, minutes, weeks, and months, you must convert the interval to milliseconds You cannot update the parameter values of a source from the dashboard. To change the values, you need to update the value in the source and redeploy the source The dashboard does not display the status of the UM store and UM lbmrd You can log in to RTAM only if the user is assigned the ROLE_USER group When you work with ACLs or when you export or import many objects, ConcurrentModificationExceptions might appear. Ignore these exceptions You cannot delete projects that contain objects. Workaround: To delete a project, you must first delete all the objects in that project and then delete the project When you configure a JMS source or responder that refers to a topic of an external QPid service, QPid does not recognize the "topic/" prefix in the JMS destination field. Do not provide the "topic/" prefix in the JMS destination field You cannot export or import supporting objects if you do not reference them in a primary object When you import 2,000 or more objects, it might take at least an hour to complete the operation. You might also get logged out of the RulePoint user interface if the import operation exceeds the timeout period of 30 minutes. The Deploy screens might take a while to show the list of objects When you enable high availability or tracing, it can impact the performance of RulePoint If you try to work on a project while an import is in progress, a SocketException error is logged in the log file. 2 RP-RLN

3 When you configure a web services connection and test the connection, RulePoint will not validate the WSDL URL. Ensure that you provide a valid URL You cannot delete an object from one project while import is in progress in another project. You must wait until the import is complete before you delete the object Marker events will not be generated for events produced during the deployment of a source The "notmatch" operator does not work with "distinct" and "group by" operators The RulePoint installer does not validate the host IP address during the installation process If you upload the import file from the ImportExport folder under YOSEMITE_HOME \design \webapps\rulepoint\ while using Internet Explorer 10 or Chrome, that file is deleted from the folder. Workaround: Ensure that you copy the file that you want to import to a different location, and then upload the files from that location When you export objects from a project, if all the objects are not in the valid state, an error occurs. Workaround: Before you export objects, ensure that you have at least one valid object in that project If you have force-saved rules that are not in a valid state, they might be available for deployment. Workaround: Ensure that the rules that you deploy are valid If the topic name has spaces, the autocomplete suggestions do not list the topic properties. Workaround: Ensure that the topic name has no spaces When you launch the RulePoint installer in graphical mode on Linux, the instructions on the left pane are not visible. When you click Next and proceed with the installation, the instructions appear on the left pane of the installer If you do not provide valid values for the template parameters while you edit a template, you might not get appropriate errors The RTAM and watchlist responder require a named Ultra Messaging (UM) topic to write data to. You cannot deploy multiple RTAM responders and watchlist responders to the same node, because a node can support only one topic for the RTAM responder and one topic for the watchlist responder at a time. Workaround: If you want to deploy more than one RTAM and watchlist responders, you must deploy it on a responder controller that runs on a different node If there is a blank line between the contents in a watchlist, the workspace view of the watchlist displays No Items. Workaround: Ensure that the watchlist has no missing contents UTF-8 transliteration errors might appear in the RulePoint log file during database operations. Ignore these errors. RP-RLN

4 When you use Internet Explorer 9, you might encounter the following issues: - If the rule and template names are long, the text is not wrapped, and the column is aligned incorrectly. - When you filter an object by Name, an empty drop-down list appears if it does not contain the word starting with the typed-in characters. - After filtering rules, some of the rules might be aligned to the right. - Deployment Policies in the projects actions menu display Update Deployment Policy in the second line. - When you create objects in a RulePoint project, the objects appear distorted when you resize the window. - RulePoint user interface might not respond to some user actions. Workaround: If the user interface does not respond, press F5 to refresh. You must wait for the action to complete before attempting a refresh. Actions, such as bulk deploy, export, or import, might take a longer time If there is an error while executing an object, but you have fixed the error, the error still appears for that object in the Activity Status on the dashboard. See the error summary to review the error and confirm if the error has been fixed. The error description and the time of error occurrence are available on the dashboard When the Informatica Data Direct driver uses the SQL source or responder for a long period, the driver might stop receiving messages from the database, and it might throw the exception "com.informatica.cep.sc.dataadapter.api.ioadapterexception: java.sql.sqlexception: An SQLException was provoked by the following failure: java.lang.negativearraysizeexception." Workaround: Increase the database pool size, reduce the frequency of using the SQL source, or use the Oracle driver Ultra Messaging might not start in the Windows system. Workaround: Apply the Microsoft 2005 C++ patch. The patch must match your operating system (32-bit or 64-bit) to work. Ensure that all topic property names, response names, temporary variables, and parameters are in lowercase only When an event transformer responder and response are referenced in a topic, and you modify the responder to reference to another topic, you cannot delete the old topic. This error occurs because the old topic is referenced in the event transformer responder, which is a dependent object for the response Unable to use watchlist-based picklist for parameterized topics in a template. For example, if you use a watchlist-based picklist for the parameter topic_name in the DRQL, WHEN 1 <<topic_name>> t0 THEN 'RTAM Response', an error appears. You must instead use a picklist of topics for the parameter If you have any custom objects, you must place the corresponding jar in the Custom folder under YOSEMITE_HOME. Import will fail if the required jars are not available under the Custom folder While you use the Skip option while importing objects, import fails to skip already existing roles. Use the Update option while importing objects. Using this option, however, updates both the existing users and roles When you want to edit a response in a wizard rule that is configured with multiple responses, the Edit page of the response that was last configured comes up instead of the response you want to edit. Workaround: Edit the response while you create the wizard rule. 4 RP-RLN

5 The date formats in a request and response for creating a schedule using the REST API show a mismatch When you create custom services, RulePoint does not provide property editor classes to define custom service properties for field types, such as check box or list When a rule includes the Indexof(index value, topic property) analytic, if you place the index value first, followed by the topic property, the rule is compiled and an error displays while generating an event.
