1 Computer Shortcuts EDUI 6600 Windows OS ALT + TAB WINDOWS + TAB CTRL + TAB ALT + F4 CTRL + W DELETE Switches between programs. Switches between programs with a pretty GUI. Switches between windows or tabs within a program. Closes a program and opens the Shut Down menu on the desktop. Closes a window or file. Selecting a file and pressing this will send the file to the Recycle Bin. SHIFT DELETE Selecting a file and pressing these keys will permanently delete the file. CTRL + SHIFT + ESC Opens Windows Task anager. CTRL + CLICK Allows you to select multiple files that are out of order. SHIFT + CLICK Allows you to select a sequence of files that are in order. CTRL + ESC Opens Start enu ESC The equivalent of pressing Cancel. WINDOWS + L Locks Windows, (takes you to Login Screen). Hold CTRL while selecting Allows you to select multiple files at once in Windows folder while selecting Allows you to select multiple files in a sequence General Programs Windows CTRL + S Saves a file. CTRL + O Opens a file. CTRL + N Creates a new document or project. CTRL + C Copies a selection or file to the Clipboard, (memory). CTRL + Pastes the selection or file. CTRL + X Cuts a selection or file and places it in the Clipboard, (memory). CTRL + Z Undo what you have just done in a program or sometimes in Windows. CTRL + Y Redo the Undo you have just done. CTRL + A Selects everything on the screen. CTRL + P Opens the Print Dialogue. TAB oves you to the next dialog box or text field.
