1 Lesson: Worldspan Go! General Information Access Go! Benefits of Go! Available from any internet browser User friendly Reduces training costs Reduces equipment costs Faster updates (instead of hardware updates) Go! is available through any internet browser. The site to go directly to Go! is go.wspan.com The site is easily accessed from the homepage by selecting the reservations tab. Activity: Access Go! 1. Access Go! at go.wspan.com or select the reservations tab from the homepage. 2. Log on to Go!. ACCESS GO! ENTER LOG ON 2683 Page /02

2 Navigation Navigation through the different features of Go! is accomplished through the options on the Navigation Bar. The menu options include index, tools, help, and logout. Working Frame My Script There are three frames on the right side, stacked on top of each other, with one visible. The Working Frame contains everything, except My Script and My Links. Clicking Working Frame display this frame. My Links A frame is dedicated to a frequently used Go! Script. Upon selecting a Go! Script (not a Script Pro Script), the My Script frame is dedicated to that script. Use this to have frequently used Go! Scripts, such as PNR Basics or Fast Mail Itinerary Faxing, always available during res sessions. Click My Script to display the frame containing this script, or a tabbed script index, if a script has not been selected. Click My Links to display the frame dedicated to your table of Custom Links up to 60 links to favorite macros, scripts, Go! tools, Go! Help, and web sites. Index Menu The index menu is the default menu when Go! is accessed. The index menu offers selections for Worldspan Go! scripts. The index menu has 5 options: Book, Price, PNR, Utilities, and Misc. (1) The book option offers scripts to assist in booking procedures for air, rail, car, and hotel segments. (2) The price option offers scripts to display fares, rules, pricing, invoice, and exchange transactions. (3) The PNR Page /02

3 option offers scripts to assist in the building of a PNR. The PNR scripts include adding client billing information, canceling segments, form of payment, endorsements, lists, special service requests, frequent flyer information, and remarks. (4) The utilities option offers links to register for daily document log entries, low fare finder, and common commission cap resources. (5) The miscellaneous option offers links to resources such as currency converters, encode and decode tool, GDAY announcements, and weather displays. Activity: Index Menu Tools Menu Access the MISC menu from the INDEX menu. Select the MISC option to find a link to the GDAY announcement. CLICK ON INDEX MENU SELECT MISC MENU SELECT GDAY BRIEFINGS The tools menu provides links to resources. The links are provided to access a calendar, office macros, standard scripts, macro editor, preferences, printer configuration, ready key converter, ScriptPro script, ScriptPro editing, and system options. Tool Calendar Macros Description Displays a calendar in the right side panel An expandable list of the following macrorelated functions: Get Office Macros Downloads the master copy of the Office Macros to the hard drive Macro Editor The editor for creating and modifying macros. Tool Description Ready Key Tool for converting Worldspan for Windows Converter keys to Go! Macros. My Preferences Function for establishing personal preferences, and making those available for 04/02 Page 8-3

4 Printer Configuration Script All Scripts Get Standard Script Pro Scripts Resume ScriptPro script Script Pro Editing System use at other workstations or offsite locations. Select the destination of documentation and set printer addresses. For dial in locations only. An expandable list of script-related functions: Produces a list of all scripts available. Allows the adding of a Custom Link for accessing the list of all scripts. Downloads the set of standard Script Pro Scripts, login controlled, must have the appropriate access. A menu way of resuming Script Pro scripts, in addition to the Worldspan for Windows keystroke method (Ctrl+R). Allows the establishment of a Custom Link for Resuming Scripts. Display the Script Pro editor. Login controlled, must have the appropriate authority access. Displays the status of Go!, your system, and your login. Activity: Tools Menu Access the preferences option from the tool menu. CLICK ON TOOLS CLICK ON MY PREFERENCES Help Menu and Agent Assistant The Help menu is a valuable resource for information on formats, functionality and troubleshooting. The Help menu has two options, Worldspan Go! and Go! Help. The Worldspan Go! icon is a resource for information on the layout, tools, and functionality of the Go! Product. The Go! Help icon is a resource for formats and functionality of the Worldspan reservations system. Page /02

5 Agent Assistant is an online Help tool, which includes information to assist agents with formats, hardware, software, and answers to frequently asked questions. The Format Assistant contains a search function that provides a quick, easy to use topic search. A link to the Self-Paced Tutorials is also included. Agent Assistant is a step above the traditional HELP and INFO. Activity: Help Menu and Agent Assistant 1. Select the Help tab. Notice all help options. CLICK HELP 2. Access Agent Assistant to view Format Assistant. SELECT AGENT ASSISTANT CLICK FORMAT ASSISTANT 3. Access the Availability topic by selecting the tab on the top of the page. CLICK AVAILABILITY TAB 4. Choose an Availability subtopic from the list. When finished, return to the top of the page by clicking the link at the bottom of the subtopic section. SELECT SUBTOPIC CLICK TOP LINK Notice the link to tutorials on the top of each section. 5. Select a subtopic from the list to view the page requested. SELECT SUBTOPIC 6. Locate the top button to go back and select a new topic. CLICK TOP 04/02 Page 8-5

6 Logout Menu The logout menu opens a logout dialog screen. The screen requests verification to logout or stay connected. You must select Logout to end the Go! session. Not selecting this can cause problems with trying to restart Go! shortly afterwards. Activity: Logout Select the logout menu. Review the options for the logout dialog screen. Page /02
