4 INSTALLATION GUIDE Our frames are constructed with double channeled aluminum and this allows you to drill directly into the sign. WALL MOUNT (NOT INCLUDED) You can drill into the frame up to 1inch from any side. 5 If you don t have a network, you can connect a network cable from your ethernet port on your PC to LED Sign directly. 7 SOFTWARE INSTALLATION 1.Run the HDPlayer exe. 2.Choose Yes. 3.Choose your language, then press OK. FULL COLOR LED SIGN 7

9 6.Click Finish to complete installation. 7.Choose Professional Edition and hit OK to confirm. Note that you can switch between Professional & Standard editions in the software from file. If password is asked then press 168 for the password. Warning! Please contact tech support line to make any changes in the settings or configurations among the menus where the password is entered. 11 BINDING YOUR SCREEN You will need to connect your sign to your playlist. This will require you to bind yoursign to your screen. If you are connected to your sign, you should see Device Connected on the bottom left of your software. You can only bind the sign when it is connected. You only need to do this process one time. 1. Press Send button. 2. On the Device Bind screen, check the box next to your controller. 3. Hit send to save binding and send the messages. FULL COLOR LED SIGN 11

12 HD PLAYER SOFTWARE OVERVIEW Once screen settings have been entered, you will notice a black screen in the center of the software. This screen is preview of your sign HD PLAYER USER MANUAL (v )

13 LIST OF ELEMENTS AND FUNCTIONS (1) (2) (3) Preview Screen - This is your preview screen. Messages that you created will be previewed in this screen. Screen - This is your playlist. Any messages you want to display, will be created under this screen. Program - Every messages on your sign should be created under program. Programs can have elements from option 3 to 16 listed below except option 14. (4) Custom Area - This will let you select the elements. Click that you want to add. + icon located on bottom to choose contents (5) (6) (7) (8) (9) (10) (11) (12) (13) (14) (15) (16) (17) (18) (19) (20) Video - Use this element to upload video. Supported file types are swf, mp4, 3gp, avi, rmvb, wmv, flv, mkv, dat, f4v, mov, mpg, trp, ts, vob, webm, asf and mpeg. Photo - Use this element to upload picture. Supported file types are gif, jpg, jpeg, png, bmp, tiff, pbm, pgm, ppm, xbm, xpm and svg. Text - Use this element to add multi-line text messages. SingLineText - Use this element to add scrolling single line text messages. 3D Text - Use this element to add 3D text messages. Office - Use this element to display office files. Supported file types are doc, docx, xlsx, xls, ppt, pptx, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PPT, PPTX, wps, et and dps. Clock - Use this element to display current time, date, week and title. Animation - Use this element to display animated messages. You can change color on animated messages and you can also select the backgrounds from Neon Background. Timing - Use this element to display date countdown on targeted date and time. Temp - Use this element to display current temperature where sign is located. (Please note that this element will only work with signs that have temperature sensor on them.) Humidity - This feature is not available. Neon - Use this element to display neon backgrounds without any messages. Weather - This feature is not available. Send your playlist to your sign. Auto adjust full parameter. 14 CREATING TEXT FILE Each message on your screen is managed by program. You need to create a new program for each message you want to add. 1. Create a Program. 2. Select the Program1 that you added. 3. Select the Text button. 4. On your preview window, drag the Blue Box to the desired length. 5. Choose the effects and speed for Display and Clear (1) (2) (3) Display is the effect when the message appears on the sign. Clear is the effect when the message leaves the screen. 15 6. Enter and edit your text message in the black field. This field works just like word pad (1) Font type. (2) Font size. (3) font color. (4) Text Background Color and Clear Text Background Color. (5) Bold, Italics, or Underline your texts. (6) Alignment settings of your text. (7) Edit Background Color, Transparent Background, Hollow, Stroke and choose different Properties. 7. 16 ADDING PICTURE MESSAGES 1. Click Program to start. 2. Select the Program1 that you added. 3. Select the Photo button. 4. On your preview window, drag the blue box to the desired length. 5. Click + icon to add picture files. 16 HD PLAYER USER MANUAL (v )

17 6. Locate the file that you want to add. 7. Once the file is added, you will see it in preview window. 8. Choose the effects and speed for Display and Clear (1) (2) (3) Display is the effect when the message appears on the sign. Clear is the effect when the message leaves the screen. 18 ADDING MULTIPLE ELEMENTS AND SCREEN DIVISION You can have multiple divided elements (messages, pictures & videos) on your screen at the same time. 1. Once you have added an element, you can add another element under the same Program. 2. After a 2nd element is added, your preview window will have another preview box for that 2nd element. <Drag this box to the desired size> 3. You can now add a message to the second box as shown in the preview screen below (text - US). <You can have up to 8 divisions on each program> Please note that if you have multiple elements, the first element goes to the bottom layer and will be displayed behind the next elements. 18 HD PLAYER USER MANUAL (v )

19 HOW TO CREATE 3D TEXT EFFECT 3D Text lets you display 3D rendered text messages with cool background, foreground, and colorful styles with 3D shadows. Select the 3D text Option (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) Add a program by selecting Program located on the top left and select 3D text underneath the program that you have added. Enter the text message in the box located on bottom. You can change font type, font size, font color, and you can also use Bold, Italic, Underline, Align features in the text field. Click Style Setting located on right. From there you can choose different background, foreground, colorful, 3D shadows, and profiled borders. Choose one of scrolling directions of message by pressing the arrow keys located on right. You can also change speed of scrolling. Check the box next to Frame to add borders and choose the different effects for the message that you have created. FULL COLOR LED SIGN 19

20 SENDING TO THE SIGN For Uploading - Press Send button. This option will send programs to the sign. 2. For Streaming - Press Play button. For Streaming signs, this option will show stored elements on both of your computer screen and sign screen at the same time. Once you click play button, HD Player will be minimized and will show a preview screen on top left of your PC screen and this is exactly same screen displayed on your sign screen. 20 HD PLAYER USER MANUAL (v )

21 Once you have created your messages, you need to send them out to the sign Please follow instructions below and note that streaming signs need to hit Play button instead of Send. Uploading signs will play programs (messages) in the playlist when you press Play button. 3. Make sure you are connected to your sign. Once you are connected, the software will display Device Connected on the bottom left corner. 4. Press Send button. 5. Sending screen will be open and once progress bar reaches out to 100%, your playlist that you chose either Screen1 or Screen2 will be on your sign. FULL COLOR LED SIGN 21

22 ADJUSTING BRIGHTNESS 1. Click Control and choose Brightness Setting. 2. Default mode lets you choose overall brightness of your sign Custom mode allows you to set brightness at specific times during the day and this uses military time (All schedules should be entered in military format) Press OK to synchronize this setting with your sign. 22 HD PLAYER USER MANUAL (v )

23 TIME CORRECTION If you are displaying the time on your sign or using any type of scheduling, you will need to set your sign to correct time. 1. Click Control and choose Time Correction. 2.Choose your device & time zone, and enable summer time (daylight saving time) & automatic synchronization if they re necessary Enable this option if you need to adjust time manually. 4. Press OK to synchronize this setting with your sign. FULL COLOR LED SIGN 23

24 TIME SWITCH TIMER If you would like to configure the time switch on your sign or use any type of scheduling, you would need to set up your sign. 1. Click Control and choose Time Switch. 2. If you want to add timer option on your sign, click Enable the time switch and set the Boot time and Off time as shown in the screenshot below. Note that the boxes for each timer option should be checked in order to be enabled. *Note that military time should be entered when you enter times for timer, and both Sign1 and Sign2 should be configured individually from Select Device if you have double sided (2F) signs. Timing switch machine set up successfully. 3. Press Ok on your screen to confirm and then successful message will show up. Once you have completed entering time for Boot time and Off time, the sign will automatically turn on and off. The sign in the screenshot above will be turned on at 6:00 am in the morning, and will be turned off at 11:00 pm in the evening. 24 HD PLAYER USER MANUAL (v )

25 2 LINE FONTS Installation 1. Open the 2Line_ Font folder found on your Software CD. 2. Double click each font file (there are 4 files) and click the Install button to install the new fonts on your PC. 3. After double clicking the font from the folder, you will see a font preview window. (Image Left) Click on the Install button to install the new fonts on your PC. * You will only need to do this once on each PC you will be using. *You are now ready to upload 2 line messages to your LED Sign. 26 FONT SETTING Suggested Font Settings in LED Software 1. Create a Program. 2. Click Text and Type your message Highlight your text and choose one of the fonts that were installed on your PC.
