2 IMPORTANT MESSAGE (READ BEFORE INSTALLATION)!!!! Please note that you can use screws underneath the LED sign since it s made with two metal layers and thickness of the gap between the two layers are about inch. As long as you don t put the screws over inch to the second metal layer, you can go ahead and place screws on it. The holes on the bottom of the sign was made for ventilation, hence please don t cover the holes and also place the screws in the middle of the frame where it s dent. 19 FAQ. My sign keeps asking me for a password. How do I fix this issue? a. Turn off the sign by pressing the power button. Then press the Color button 4 times or however many times it takes for the whole sign to light up in one solid color. Press ESC times and proceed to scroll up to [9] Setting up and press. Scroll down to [4] Password and set it to X to unlock the password.. How do I add flashing borders to my messages? a. When inputting your desired message and prior to inputting transition effects, press the Neon button and use the Up and Down Effect buttons to scroll through different border options. b. When modifying a previously stored message, press the Neon button while editing your text message. Press the Up and Down buttons to scroll through different border effects. Press once you have chosen your Neon border and proceed to input your desired transition effects.. Can I schedule a time for my sign to automatically be turned on/off? a. To use the Timer function, you must press Menu, go to [9] Setting up and set the [] Reservation to O. i. Single Row Signs: Yes. Press Menu, scroll down to [8] Set Time and press. Then scroll down to () Set Timer on and set the time you want your sing to be turned on. Press and scroll down to (4) Set Timer off and enter the time you wish your sign to be turned off. ii. Double Row Signs: Yes. Press Menu, scroll down to [8] Set Timer, Date & Time and press. Then scroll down to () Set Timer on and set the time you wish your sign to be turned on. Press and 4. How many lines of text can I display? a. You can display up to lines of text. Having lines on a Single Row sign will limit your ability to change the attributes and font of your message. 5. How do I selectively display saved messages? a. Single Row Signs: Press Menu, scroll down to [4] Index Contents and press. Scroll through your saved messages and press to mark a message with an O or and X. O means your message will be displayed and an X means it won t. b. Double Row Signs: Press Menu, scroll down to [4] Show Index and press.. Scroll through your saved messages and press to mark a message with an O or and X. 20 6. Can I adjust a message to fit in one screen when it is one or too characters too long/short? a. Yes. Prior to inputting your desired transition effects, press the Fix button when entering a message to adjust the size of the characters to fit in one screen. 7. What do the transition effects do? a. Automatic The sign will display random insertion, preservation and release effects automatically. b. Drama Displays various dramatic animations. c. Scroll Scrolls the message Up/Down/Left/Right. d. Gathering Merges lines Left/Right/Up/Down/Diagonal. e. Hurricane Rotates message like a hurricane. f. Tornado Twists your message like a tornado. g. Lens Displays messages in multiple directions while expanding and contracting your message. h. To Appear Displays different messages in multiple forms. i. By Color Displays a message in the opposite color. j. Beam Resembles a laser beam. k. Wave Displays the message using a wave effect. l. No Effect Self- Explanatory. 8. How do I change the speed of my effect? a. After inputting the transition effect of your choice, your sign will preview your message. While your sign previews your message, press the left button to slow your message down or the right button to speed it up. b. When modifying a previously stored message, press to save your text message as is and choose a transition effect (To Pass/ Scroll). Press the Left button to speed up your message and the Right button to slow it down. 9. My sign turned off and is not turning on. How do I fix this? a. Unplug and re-plug your sign. There will be led bulb flashing in the middle of the sign. Press the Power button to turn your sign on. Once the sign is on, press Menu, go to [9] Setting up and set the [] Reservation to X. This will disable your timer and should fix the issue. If your sign still does not turn on, please give us a call at our toll-free number: (78) My sign is displaying a foreign language. / The letters on my sign are displayed vertically. How can I fix this? a. Single Row Signs: Unless it is displaying one of the 9 other available languages besides English, your sign is probably set to display messages vertically. To fix this and have your sign displaying your messages horizontally, press the Menu button, scroll down to [9] Setting up, press and set the () Direction to HORZ. b. Double Row Signs: Unless it is displaying one of the 9 other available languages besides English, your sign is probably set to display messages vertically. To have your sign displaying your messages horizontally, turn your sign off by pressing the Power button. Then press the Color button 4 times or however many times it takes for the whole sign to light up in solid color. Press the ESC button time and scroll down to [5] Direction and set it to HORZ. 0 SCROLLING PROGRAMMABLE MESSAGE BOARD
21 HOW TO OPEN SIGN TYPE. From the rear of the sign remove the vertical tape.. Remove the screws under the Tape.. Once screws are removed, back panels can be slid to the other side.. Take the left frame apart from the cabinet.. Slide the back panel out as shown below.. Remove plastic grill first if there is one on top of module and remove 6 screws as shown below. 22 HOW TO OPEN SIGN. On the back of the cabinet, place duct tapes as following. First duct tape () will be your handle. Those two side duct tapes of () need to hold () tight enought for () to be pulled out together with the back panel.. Gently pull out the handle. TYPE. Use a box cutter to cut the back panel o as shown in the picture below.. Gently take the back panel off. SCROLLING PROGRAMMABLE MESSAGE BOARD TYPE4
