1 1. System Requirement 1.1. Pentium Processor speed 2.4 Mhz or more RAM 512 or more 1.4. Hard Disk 120 GB 2. Operating System 2.1. Windows NT with service pack 4 or 2.2. Windows 2000/2003 server with service pack 4 3. Operating System installation procedure. 1. Install Windows 2000/2003 Server 2. Give the System Name as ERP 3. Partition the Hard disk, The SAP Installation partition should be minimum 75GB free space 4. Install the Motherboard Drives 4. Change the system date to future year so that SAP will run upto that date. This software will work for month from the date of installation. For example, Current Date : Change the system date to Grace period for SAP is After complete installation change system date to current date, SAP 4.7 will run up to days with out expiry of licence. 5. Install the Network Adapter and assign an IP Address, If ur system is a Stand alone System Add Micro Soft Loop back Adapter Start->Settings->Control Panel-> Add/Remove New hardware -> Next-> Add or Troubleshoot a device-> select Add New Device->Next->Select No, I want to select the hardware from the list- >Next->select Network Adapters-> Next-> Select the Manufacturer Microsoft -> Microsoft Loop back Adapter->next -> Finish Loop back Adapter Installation Page 1 of 30

15 Increase Virtual Memory to Initial Size Maximum Size 2560 Click on Set then ok - ok 6. 1 st Step towards installation : Our operating system is loaded in drive C: and we want to install SAP on D: Drive a. Create One folder named as 47ides in D:\ (D:\47ides) Copy the first CD (db1) to D:\47ides Copy the contents of 2nd to 7th CDs into D:\47IDES\db1\EXPORT1\DATA The Size of the db1 should be 3.89GB b. Copy the 8 th CD(db2) into D:\47IDES Copy the contents of 9 th to 14 th th CDs into D:\47IDES\db2\EXPORT2\DATA The Size of the db2 should be 4.25GB c. Copy the 15 th CD's db3 into D:\4.7ides Copy the 16 th and 17 th CD contents into D:\47ides\db3\Export3\DATA The size of the db3 should be 1.83GB d. Run the Oracle Setup D:\47ides\Oracle\Nt\i386\sapserver.bat Page 15 of 30

16 Next next -----Here it load the Oracle, After Installation Completed Successfully Exit Note :- (At the time of installation of oradba.exe, a dialog box will be pop up for installation of net8 configuration, check the check box for typical configuration of net8 click net, it will end the oracle installation) Restart the System. e. Run the j2sdk-1_4_1_05-windows-i586.exe from the Kernel CD It will install java C:\j2sdk Assign the Java paths in My Computer -> Control Panel -> System properties- Advanced Environment Variables In the User Variable for Administrator Click on NEW Variable Name : JAVA_HOME Variable Vaule : C:\J2SDK( This is Java Installed Directory) Click OK Under System Variable Select Path - Edit Add C:\J2sdk\bin at the end of the existing path %SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;C:\jdk1.4\bin; Page 16 of 30

18 7. SAP SETUP Run the R3DLLINS.EXE from D:\4.7\kernel\NT\I386\NTPATCH Run SETUP>EXE from D:\4.7\kernel\SAPINST\NT\SETUP.BAT License Agreement Click - I Agree Page 18 of 30

21 Select SAP R/3 Enterprises 4.70 for Oracle Click Next License agreement - Click I Agree Page 21 of 30

22 Select Install Server Components - Click next Give the SAP System ID ERP Select Instance Type - Central Instance Page 22 of 30

25 Database ID - ERP Host - ERP( This is ur system Name) Click Next Page 25 of 30

26 Select the Local Installation and Click Next Page 26 of 30

28 Give the Password (Ex: 123) For ERPADM Click Next Page 28 of 30

29 Give the Password for Service User Click Next Page 29 of 30

30 Click Next This will install Central Instance It will take 15 to 30 mins. Time Page 30 of 30
