Popular mobile products such as iphone and ipad are using this operating system. Unlike desktop operating system (e.g. Windows), IOS does not provide any file management tool for users to manage the file system. Thus, it can prevent users to delete any important files accidentally. All the apps are presented with icons and users can tap the icons to open the corresponding apps. 2 There are three useful navigation hand gestures. 1. Anytime you're in an app, pinch with four or five fingers to return to the home screen. 2. To show the multitasking bar (usually accessed by double-clicking the Home button), swipe up with four or five fingers. 3. Swipe right or left with four or five fingers to navigate through open apps instead of switching with the multitasking bar at the bottom of the screen. In addition, you can swipe up the Control Centre from the bottom edge of the screen with a finger. Page 2 of 7

3 imovie You can use imovie to edit and produce a professional looking video. Open a tutorial video in and learn the steps to produce a video clip. Some key steps to start a video. 1. Open imovie app. 2. Tap Projects and then Tap Movie. 4. Select a theme and tap Create. 5. Now, you are ready to go. Page 3 of 7

4 Task 1 Sketch a storyboard (put words or drawings inside the boxes) to tell a story. Title: Open imovie and click the 'Help' button. Read and learn more about the imovie app. Create a new video project in imovie with the following features. 1. Choose a project theme. 2. Record at least three video clips. 3. Have two different transition effects Include some photos in the video. 5. Apply a filter to the project. 6. Add title text to the video. 7. Record your narration. 8. 5 Microsoft OneNote This is cross-platform app that you can capture thoughts, ideas and to-do s anywhere and anytime with your computer or any mobile devices. First, you should sign up for a new account. Open a tutorial video in and learn the features of OneNote. Task 2 Create a new Notebook in OneNote with the following features. 1. At least three sections (named as Introduction, Main Body and Conclusion ) in the Notebook. 2. In the Introduction section, show the following features. Different font and font sizes. Font colour and Highlight colour. Bullets and Numbering. Checkbox list. Important items. Question items. 3. In the Main Body section, show the following features. Contains 2 pages (named as Page 1 and Page 2 ). On Page 1, insert a table, a photo and an audio recording. On Page 2, draw a picture with different colours and line styles. 4. In the Conclusion section, show the following features. Hyperlink. The phone number and tags. Share your Notebook with your teacher. Extra marks will be given if the content can deliver a meaningful message. Note: The OneNote in ipad can synchronize with one in the desktop computer. Do you know how to do it? 6 Google Drive Google Drive lets you create, share and keep all your stuff in one place. You can edit and create documents and spreadsheets with the ipad and desktop computers such that you always have the latest versions of your documents, whether at home or in the school. Open the Google Drive app. Sign in with your Google account (see below). Create an account in Google. ( -OR- Using the provided Gmail account as below. User name: <your registration (e.g. Password: <your HKID card number> (e.g. A ) Page 6 of 7

7 Now, you can add various items to the Google Drive. Remember to Sign Out the Google Drive. Task 3 1. Create a New Folder and use your CSNO as the name of the folder. 2. Add a New Document inside the folder. 3. Add a New Spreadsheet inside the folder. 4. Add a new photo (Use Camera) inside the folder. The photo should show your face. 5. Share your folder such that your teacher can view the 3 items inside it. Page 7 of 7
