Instructions for the 3 Spinner & More Programs Including instructions for importing slides from files. (The preferred way to move slides to another presentation)
Instructions for Importing Slides from Files PowerPoint 2002/2003 Let s start by importing a spinner slide into a new blank 2002/2003 PowerPoint presentation. It is the same process for importing a slide into an existing presentation. We ve also provided instructions for importing into PowerPoint versions 2007/2010 and will show you these in a moment. On the right you ll see our blank presentation. From the Menubar, click on Insert. And then click on Slides from Files.
Instructions for Importing Slides from Files On the Slide Finder, click on the Find Presentation tab. PowerPoint 2002/2003 Now click on the Browse button. From the Browse pop-up, locate the file you wish to import a slide from. Click Open.
Instructions for Importing Slides from Files PowerPoint 2002/2003 Back on the Slide Finder, click on the slide or slides you want to import. Make sure to click the checkbox labeled Keep source formatting. (This last step is important to get all of the slide functions and graphics. Click Insert to place these slides in your presentation. That s it. Your slide is now in another presentation with complete functionality of the original slide.
Instructions for Importing Slides from Files PowerPoint 2007/2010 Let s start by importing a spinner slide into a new blank PowerPoint presentation. It works the same way if you are importing a slide into an existing presentation. From the Home tab, click on the New Slide option. From the drop down, click on the bottom or last option called Reuse Slides
Instructions for Importing Slides from Files PowerPoint 2007/2010 The Reuse Slides pop-up will now show on the side. Now click on the Browse button. From the Browse pop-up, select Browse File, and locate the file you wish to import a slide from. Once located, click Open.
Instructions for Importing Slides from Files PowerPoint 2007/2010 On the Reuse Slides box, make sure the Keep Source Formatting checkbox is checked (Circled in the top right graphic). This will ensure that all of the slide and its functional parts are imported properly. Note: In developing these spinner slides, we ve placed parts of the slide content on the Master Slides, which means, in some instances, you cannot simply Copy/Paste the spinner to another presentation. Now click on the slides you want to import. They will instantly appear in your presentation. That s it. Your slide is now in another presentation with the complete functionality of the original slide.
Instructions that apply to all of the slides 1. To make sure that you do not advance these slides by mistake, the Advance on Mouse Click option has been turned off. Press the space bar or page down key to advance to the next slide while on these slides. 2. Most all of the Spinners and More files have some editable elements to allow you to enter names or change values while protecting the rest of the slide. See the individual slide instructions below to learn which parts on each are editable. 3. These slides are designed to work in PowerPoint slideshow mode (presentation mode), and of course, edited in edit mode. 4. All of these spinners and random selectors provide a single button to both start and stop the action on the slide. Pressing the button once will start the spinner or other action and pressing it again will stop the action. You ll find it difficult to Start and Stop the spinners in the same location as the last spin. Obviously, this is by design, however, varying the seconds between your Start and Stop clicks will ensure a completely randomized spin result. 5. Just for fun. Sometimes it adds to the excitement to start the spinners moving at the beginning of a round or turn, and allow the players to yell STOP! All START/STOP Buttons: Press once to start and a second time to stop the spinner.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SPINNERS & SCOREBOARDS Editable: The four name boxes on the top of the slide. This slide has two random generators: Clicking the Start/Stop Team Selector button will select one of the four teams randomly. Clicking on the round Start Stop button will rotate the silver ball around the outside of the circle until stopped.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SPINNERS & SCOREBOARDS Editable: Team/player names are editable on this slide. This spinner works like a roulette wheel. When the Start-Stop button is pressed, the wheel spins one way and the gold ball rotates the other way.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SPINNERS & SCOREBOARDS Editable: Team/player names are editable on the top of the slide. The Start/Stop button moves a ball around the outside of the circle (also the border rotates) until the button is pressed again. Pressing the Change Values button will change the values on the wheel. Pressing it again returns the wheel to the default values. To record a score, press the transparent buttons just below a team/player name. Work from right to left to record a score for each name. To subtract a number from a score, it will be necessary to rotate the numbers through 9 and start over again until you get the number desired.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SPINNERS & SCOREBOARDS Editable: Team/Player names are editable on this slide. This is a typical spinner using a roulette wheel. The Start/Stop button rotates the wheel around until stopped.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SPINNERS & SCOREBOARDS Editable: Team/Player names are editable on this slide. Maximum score available per player is 99. Scores can be tracked for up to 20 players or teams.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SPINNERS & SCOREBOARDS Editable: Team/Player names are editable on this slide. Maximum score available per player is 99. Scores can be tracked for up to 24 players or teams.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SPINNERS Editable: BIG WHEEL title Pressing the Start/Stop button will rotate the numbers until the button is pressed again.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SPINNERS Editable: The 6 Names or Value boxes. Enter your own names or numbers for the spinner in edit mode. Since this spinner is editable, it could not be placed on a Master. Use care not to move or delete any of the pieces. Pressing the Start/Stop button will rotate the red ball until the button is pressed again.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SPINNERS Editable: The Jackpot and Surprise values. The wheel and spinner move independently on this slide. Each is controlled by a Start/Stop button in the bottom corners. The wheel or spinner can be used alone or together for more impact. If you land on the Jackpot or Surprise choices, then pressing a button in the top corners will reveal a value or short text message.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SPINNERS Editable: The yellow letters in the spinner. Letters, numbers or symbols can be entered in this spinner. Since this spinner is editable, it could not be placed on a Master. Use care not to move or delete any of the pieces. Pressing the Start/Stop button will rotate the wheel until the button is pressed again.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SPINNERS Editable: Nothing as shown, however, adding a slide title using the Insert Text Box command, is recommended. Pressing the Start/Stop button will rotate the wheel until the button is pressed again.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SPINNERS Editable: Nothing as shown, however, adding a slide title using the Insert Text Box command, is recommended. Pressing the Start/Stop button will rotate the wheel until the button is pressed again.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SPINNERS Editable: The values on the wheel. Can be any single or double digit value. Since this spinner is editable, it could not be placed on a Master. 22 INSTRUCTIONS FOR RANDOM GENERATORS Editable: All of the elements on this slide are editable. New Right or Wrong values can be entered. Since this slide is editable, it could not be placed on a Master. Use care not to move or delete any of the pieces. A suggestion for using this slide is to enter a question on the slide and score points or penalties for a correct/incorrect answer. Pressing the Start/Stop button will move a red diamond pointer until the button is pressed again.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR RANDOM GENERATORS Editable: All of the elements on this slide are editable. All values can be changed. Since this slide is editable, it could not be placed on a Master. If you don t need 40 random boxes then you can delete some of the boxes. Click and drag the boxes to different positions to vary the board from one game to the next. The title can also be edited. Do NOT delete the Show button. Pressing the Show button will reveal one box at a time.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR RANDOM GENERATORS Editable: Nothing. This is a fun way to generate a random number from 0 to 6. Suggestion: Use the slot machine to determine players to participate, or points to be awarded. Pressing each of the 3 red buttons below a column will start the column moving. Pressing the 3 buttons again will stop the columns. Results will determine the random number.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR RANDOM GENERATORS Editable: The slide title You can reveal cards by clicking on a card back. If you want to randomize the selection, then pressing the Start/Stop button will select a card to reveal. Suggestion: If you have less than 52 people in your group and want to randomize the selection order, then deal out one real playing card to each person and use this slide to choose one. Or make up your own ways to use it.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR RANDOM GENERATORS Editable: All of the elements on this slide are editable. New values can be entered. Since this slide is editable, it could not be placed on a Master. Use care not to move or delete any of the pieces. A suggestion for using this slide is to enter a question or exercise on the slide itself and score points or impose penalties for correct/incorrect answers. Or use the slide to select (match) players to participate in roleplaying or an exercise. Pressing the Start/Stop button will move the little Egyptian men up and down until the button is pressed again.
