1 Last Updated: 28/06/2016 Harvest Setup for CNH controllers Overview Purpose of this guide is to make sure that all data has been exported to the USB ready to be loaded in to the CNH controller unit prior to harvest commencing. GateKeeper customers will require the following modules to carry this out as well as to import yield data after harvest. GateKeeper Software Farm Mapping module Precision Farming Actual module This guide assumes that the GateKeeper software contains all the following data to be able to export. If it doesn t then please contact GateKeeper Support on the telephone number to be advised how to create this data. Go to the Devices Module and make sure the Manufacture and Type Filters are turned on at the top of the Tree view. 2. Within the Tree view on the column navigate down to with the Case IH AFS Pro 300/600/700 node or the New Holland intelliview node and locate your device. 3. If there is no device presently setup then highlight the parent node and click the Setup Devices button just below the icons. Then click on the Add button to add a device to that node and name it appropriately 4. Once the device is named click Ok to close the window and highlight the newly created device in the Tree view. 5. Once highlighted click the Device Sync button next to the Setup Device button. 6. In the Device Sync window select the Export Tab at the top and insert your USB stick in to the computer. 7. Click on the browse button at the end of the Path and navigate to the USB stick. 8. Under the Fields Tab the following can be exported.

2 9. Finally click the Export button at the bottom of the window and then the Yes button on the export warning that tells you that exporting will remove all completed data from the card. 10. You should then receive a Device Export Log informing you that the export was successful. Page 2 of 5

Import of Yield Data Within GateKeeper you can import your Harvest yield data in to both Recording and Planning however it is far easier to manage your data once imported in to a Harvest Plan.

3 Import of Yield Data Within GateKeeper you can import your Harvest yield data in to both Recording and Planning however it is far easier to manage your data once imported in to a Harvest Plan. This will allow you to use GateKeeper s Job Calibration tool and the Plot filters tool to better effect on your data. Before setting up your Plan you should consider how you intend to market your products as this will determine the way you create your Jobs within the Plan, for example is all wheat sold together or is it sold as Milling Wheat, Feed Wheat etc. It is worth noting that some Devices allow Work Plans to be exported whilst others do not. It is still worth setting up a Harvest Plan for Devices who do not as it is still much easier to import the yield data using this method. 1. Within the Planning module of GateKeeper click on the Add Plan button. 2. Name the Plan appropriately and fill in any other relevant details before clicking the Add Job button in the top right hand corner. 3. Add a Field Operations Job. 4. On the Field Selector use the filters to make it easier to select all the relevant fields you need. 5. On the Product Selector screen choose the relevant Primary Output product. 6. Finally select the Implement and Setting which would most likely be a combine with a linked combing cost attached to the physical combine. 7. I would then click on the Job Header Tab and give the Job an Optional Job Reference as the name of the product which will make it easier to locate the right job at the point of import. 8. The next Jobs will be a repetition on the first but with the next product you are harvesting and a different Optional Job Reference until you have your full Harvest Plan created. 9. Issue the Plan. 10. Within the Devices Module select the device node from the list of manufactures you wish to import and click the Device Synchronisation button. 11. On the Setup Tab you will need to select the Import Options relevant to you and I would also advise using the second Import Product Matching Mode. This way no matter what the combine operator has called the product in the field when recording the file it will be corrected by importing that file in to your pre-created Harvest Plan. 12. Click on the Import Tab and use the Path field to browse to the data to import. Page 3 of 5

In the import grid you will need to double click on the New Plan under the GateKeeper Destination, Plan column and the following window will appear showing that the file is currently being imported in to the Recording Module, and a New Plan and New Job. 15. Click on the Planning node and then Issued to find the Harvest Plan and relevant field for your file. 16. Before clicking the OK button, select the tick box to the left of the OK button to allow the remaining recorded data lines to be matched to the corresponding fields that are in the selected Work Plan. 17. Once selected the GateKeeper Destination should correspond to the Plan and Job selected on the left hand side. Page 4 of 5

Once all the data for the Job has been imported then you can then Filter the plots on the field maps to make them more accurate and get rid of any half header widths, anomalous data

5 18. The import window should look something like this with the Plan and Job columns reflecting you selection on the previous screen. 19. Once the file is imported you will be able to check the map plots within the Fields Tab and also the quantities taken off under the Complex Tab at the bottom of the Job Window. 20. Once all the data for the Job has been imported then you can then Filter the plots on the field maps to make them more accurate and get rid of any half header widths, anomalous data plots (stone hit the mass flow sensor and recorded a yield of 1 million tonnes). 21. Lastly you can then use the Calibrate Tool to make the job quantity and the map plots equal to the weighbridge totals for the yield. Page 5 of 5
