Switch the power switch from OFF to ON. 2. If using a memory card or USB storage device, insert them into the appropriate slots found on the back of the unit. 3. Navigate the menu of the Digital Photo Frame using either the supplied remote or the buttons found along the right backside of the unit. TIP: If the power switch of the unit is left in the ON position, the remote can be used to power it on and off. 4. Highlight the icon for the type of media (i.e. Photo, Music, etc.) that is to be played. If using a memory card or USB storage device, the storage option will be available after you click into a specific media type. For example, if a particular image or set of images is on a USB flash drive, click the Photo icon and then choose the USB option to navigate to the desired photo file.

16 Copy Files From USB To Internal Memory 16 The digital photo frame is capable of copying files from a USB flash drive to its built-in memory. To begin, all files on the USB flash drive must be on the root directory. Files cannot be in folders or they won't copy over to the internal memory of the digital photo frame. Then, a new.txt file called "copy.txt" must be created and placed on the USB flash drive in the same root directory as the files that are going to be copied. To create a.txt file, use a plain-text editor such as Notepad on Windows PCs or TextEdit on a Mac. o Windows/Microsoft Word Example: From the File menu, select Save As. 17 Scroll Subtitle Function 17 The digital photo frame supports scrolling subtitles when playing photo, music, and video files. To begin, a new.txt file called "scroll.txt" must be created in the Unicode format and placed on the USB flash drive in the root directory. The file cannot be in a folder or it won't copy over to the internal memory of the digital photo frame properly. To create a.txt file in the Unicode format, use a plain-text editor such as Notepad on Windows PCs or TextEdit on a Mac. o Windows/Microsoft Word Example: From the File menu, select Save As. While the DPF can support a wide variety of file formats, there are some that aren't compatible due to the software used to run the DPF. Q. I have a memory card in the DPF, but it's not reading the card. What should I do? A. First, make sure that you are using a memory card that is supported by the DPF (i.e. SD/MMC). Second, ensure that the memory card is inserted all the way into the correct slot. Third, choose the correct card icon on screen that you want to play. Q. Why do some images load faster than others? A. Higher resolution images usually take longer to load.
