2 Scanning the highlights of BlueChart g2 HD: Offering detailed marine cartography at a down-to-earth price, BlueChart g2 HD is ideal for handheld navigation devices (such as our Montana and Oregon series portables), as well as for the full line of Garmin fixed-mount chartplotters. Styled to match the appearance of paper charts on your plotter screen, this redesigned version of BlueChart g2 HD makes it easy to see and identify intertidal zones, depth contours, spot soundings, navaids, wrecks, obstructions, and more. Other noteworthy features and capabilities include: Marine Points-of-Interest By selecting an object or icon on the navigation map, users can instantly view database information on such offshore marine features as navaids, lights, buoys, beacons, marinas, mile markers, wrecks, restricted areas, anchorages, shoals and obstructions/ hazards for the U.S. Perspective View In addition to conventional 2D overhead map perspective, BlueChart g2 HD also offers a to-the-horizon 3D perspective view for easier orientation and interpretation. With this dimensional view, you can view charts the same way you d see the water from a bird s eye vantage point above and behind the boat (according to your course). The Fishing Chart To help you visualize the topography beneath your boat, the fishing chart features up to 1 HD Fishing Contours revealing seafloor terrain.

3 Shallow Water Settings User configurable Shallow Water settings let you highlight specific depth contour range. These highlighted ranges can help alert you to areas where shallows or other underwater terrain features may pose a navigation hazard. Shaded Contours As with all BlueChart cartography, map areas are shaded to allow you to instantly identify intertidal zones, depth contours, coastal features, and more. Sharp, colorful, finely detailed graphics let you see every cartographic contour and feature, with a minimum of panning and zooming to bring the chart data into focus. New Chart Guarantee: Customers who purchase new preprogrammed Garmin BlueChart g2 HD, or g2 Vision HD microsd cards are entitled to 1 free update 1 of the newest version of charts. In addition to managing waypoints, routes and tracks, HomePort is also fully integrated with ActiveCaptain content that provides marina data, reviews, local knowledge, anchorages, and hazards. Plus, it helps predict fuel usage, tides, depth profiles, and more. You can quickly create point-topoint routes, determine distance and bearing measurements between checkpoints, and calculate your estimated travel time for each leg of your journey. It also features sonar playback capability and stores information from past voyages right on your computer. Once you ve planned your route, it s easy to transfer the data from the computer back to your chartplotter via plug-in microsd /SD data card.
