28 Tunnel Mode This useful new MyGuide Navigator feature allows the program to continue navigating even when the GPS signal is lost by using the last recorded speed and the planned route until the next maneuver. So in tunnels or among tall buildings MyGuide Navigator will pinpoint your position even if the GPS unit loses the signal for several seconds. Road Safety Cameras Thanks to this new MyGuide Navigator function, you can receive advance notice of speed and red-light cameras. The software displays a warning message and emits a warning sound if you approach such a monitoring device. Users can even mark cameras on the map themselves and share this information with others. Advanced POI Management The advanced POI management of MyGuide Navigator allows map data to be complemented with multimedia materials. This offers unique opportunities, ranging from advertising to customized content services. Various POI databases can be integrated into the software, and other navigation-based services can be linked to it more easily. Another fantastic improvement is that the software can now look for POIs along the planned route and even show how big a detour the selected destination involves. It even indicates entry and exit points for POIs that can be accessed from multiple directions. 3D Terrain and Cityscape Rendering The visual appearance of the maps in MyGuide Navigator is under constant development. Our software engineers have made significant progress in 3D visualization: our maps include shaded topographic elements and building models to provide an even more realistic view. We expect to have our navigation software display satellite images and aerial photos in the near future. 28

29 Navigator 7.0 Enhanced Guidance MyGuide Navigator gives precise voice prompts in all traffic situations. We have made improvements to our navigation software to more accurately distinguish sharp turns from gentle ones and to track main routes more reliably. The visual elements in the software are also clear-cut. Intersections are displayed in the form of easy-to-interpret visual sign. In addition, MyGuide Navigator can now recognize individual lanes, so your position is accurately displayed on multilane roads. Redesigned User Interface MyGuide Navigator has a brand new user interface. Not only is it more attractive and fashionable, but it also has separate Basic and Expert modes. Basic is for beginners and even those with no technical knowledge can use it easily. The Expert mode, however, can satisfy even the most experienced users with full customization and several color schemes. Text-to-Speech Function One of the latest innovations of MyGuide is the Text-to-Speech function that can read out map content and navigation messages in some widely-used languages to make navigation even easier. Our developers are currently working on a voice recognition module to simplify control of the system even further. The All-in-One Application Suite Our MyGuide team has assembled an All-in-One application suite that can revolutionize how navigation devices are used.
