3 pag.3 SERVIZIO VOIP SKYPHO The use of SKYPHO VoIP (Voice Over IP) service is simple and quick. You need only an Internet access, the Budge Tone-100 IP Phone (the IP telephone) and a PC, and with few clicks you could use the new telephone line with quality equal to the traditional landline. To use the SKYPHO s VOIP service, you need: - One computer with an Ethernet port; - One modem/router with a LAN port - One Internet access; - One Username and one Password (account SIP). The SIP account is the registration made on SKYPHO s server that allows the access the VoIP services provided by the server itself. It is composed by a Username, coincident with the telephone number you have been assigned and a Password (confidential access code) by which you can access the telephone services of Eutelia. ATTENTION! The confidentiality of these data is necessary in order to guarantee that the service will be accessed only by you. For your major safety, you can choose a new password by accessing on Eutelia s registration site. 4 pag.4 DEVICE PHISICAL CONNECTION First of all, you have to make the physical connection of the device, following the simple instructions hereafter included: Internet Insert the Ethernet rj-45 cable in the PC port of the GRANDSTREAM BUDGE TONE-100 Connect the other end to the Ethernet port on your personal computer Connect the power adapter provided with the GRANDSTREAM BUDGE TONE-100 to the wall socket Insert the Ethernet cable to the LAN GRANDSTREAM BUDGE TONE-100 port Connect the other end of the cable to your LAN (Hub/Modem/Router). Once completed the connections as indicated, the LCD display will light. Network Led Blinking shows that the LAN connection is not working or the telephone is not registered. Turned off shows that the telephone didn t receive an IP address or that the SIP server is not localized. Lighted shows that the telephone has received the IP address and that has been registered on the SIP server. Micro-telephone Led Turned off shows that the micro-telephone is hooked. Lighted shows that the micro-telephone is unhooked. Loudspeaker Led Blinking during the receipt of a telephone call. Turned off shows that the loudspeaker is not in use. Lighted shows that the loudspeaker is in use. Volume Led Shows the volume level for both the micro-telephone and the loudspeaker with a range from 0 to 7. Clock It can be synchronized with the Internet server and can be configurable via web browser.

5 ACCESS TO THE DEVICE pag.5 Once completed the connections, you can proceed with the configuration of your GRANDSTREAM BUDGE TONE-100. Before proceeding with the IP phone configuration it is necessary to verify if in your router the DHCP service is working, (this means that in your LAN are used IP addresses in a dynamic way), or if the DHCP service is not working, (this means that in your LAN are used IP addresses in a static way). Based on what mentioned above, please proceed with the suitable instructions that follow. Access to IP Phone when the DHCP service is working 1. verify that the LAN port of your PC is configured in order to obtain an IP address automatically. Click on Start \ Settings\ Network connections, double click on Local area connections (LAN). In the new window click on Properties and then double click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). Verify that the option Obtain an IP address automatically is activated or modify the setting and press OK. At the end, you can close all the opened windows. 2. verify which IP address has been assigned to your GRANDSTREAM BUDGE TONE-100. Access your router in configuration mode and in the status information about the LAN or on DHCP client check which IP address has been assigned to your GRANDSTREAM BUDGE TONE-100and write it down. 3. start your Web Browser (i.e. Internet Explorer), insert the IP address of your GRANDSTREAM BUDGE TONE-100 and press GO. 4. It will appear the window prompt for Password in which you have to insert admin. Attention! The confidentiality of these data is necessary in order to guarantee that the equipment configuration is accessible only by you. We suggest to proceed with the configuration password change and to write down the new one. 5. After few moments, the window Grandstream IP Phone Configuration will appear. Here you can change the parameters configuration of GRANDSTREAM BUDGE TONE-100, as explained in the following chapter. IMPORTANT: the changes made are not going to be effective before Save and Reboot of the IP Phone, as indicate in the following pages.

6 pag.6 Access to IP Phone when the DHCP is not working 1. configure the static IP address on the LAN port of your PC. Click on Start \ Settings\ Network connections, double click on Local area connections (LAN). In the new window click on Properties and then double click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). Verify that the option Use the following IP address is activated, or modify the setting and fill in the following fields:: IP address: x (in the example of the right site, it is used the address ) Subnet mask: Default gateway: For DNS servers should be used the IP addresses provided by the Internet Service Provider. Once finished the configuration, press OK and close all the opened windows. 2. configure the static IP address on your IP Phone. Press MENU on the IP Phone keyboard, on display of the telephone it will appear [ 1] dhcp On, press MENU and then the key or to set - dhcp off, at the end press MENU. Press the key, on the telephone display it will appear [ 2] IP Addr, press MENU, digit and then press MENU. Press the key, on the telephone display it will appear [ 3] SubnET, press MENU, digit and then press MENU. IMPORTANTE: the changes made will be effective after turning off and turning on of the IP Phone. 3. start your Web Browser (i.e. Internet Explorer), insert the IP address and press GO. 6. It will appear the window prompt for Password in which you have to insert admin. Attention! 7 CONFIGURATION VIA WEB BROWSER pag.7 Before proceeding with the configuration of your GRANDSTREAM BUDGE TONE-100 via WEB Browser, it is important that you have at your disposal the Eutelia s username and password for the VoIP service that you obtained during registration or those you have modified on the Eutelia s site. LAN Parameters 1. Verify that, on the window Grandstream IP Phone Configuration, the option dynamically assigned via DHCP (default) or PPPoE, the IP Address, is enabled. Note! If in your LAN are used static IP addresses, it is necessary to select the option statically configured as and you need to insert the appropriate values for IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Router, DNS Server 1 and 2 in order to avoid network conflicts. VoIP Parameters 2. Insert your SIP account values provided by SKYPHO during registration. NOTE: The SIP account is the subscription registered on Eutelia s server that allows to access to the VoIP services provided by the server itself. It is composed by a User name, coincident with the telephone number you have been assigned and a Password (confidential access code) by which you can access the telephone services of Eutelia. User name and Password will be provided directly by Eutelia at the activation of the service. SIP Server = voip.eutelia.it SIP User ID = Telephone Number Assigned by SKYPHO Authenticate ID = Telephone Number Assigned by SKYPHO Authenticate Password = Password of the SIP account Name = Name and Surname (the field is optional)

8 pag.8 3. Set the sequence of the Preferred Vocoder, choosing the codecs of the menu for each field, as indicated in the following picture, (G729, PCMA, PCMU, G723, ecc). 4. Insert the value 3 in the field Rgister Expitration. 5. Select the option No for Use # as Dial Key. 6. Verify that the local SIP port is set to 5060 and insert the value in the field local RTP port. 7. Select the option Yes for NAT Traversal and digit stun.voip.eutelia.it in the field STUN server is. 8. Select the option Yes for via RTP (RFC2833). NTP Parameters 9. Insert the value in the field NTP Server, select your Time Zone and choose one of the field for the Date Display Format. Save Configuration 10. Once the configuration is finished, click on Update and then on Reboot.
