2 The following steps will guide you through the MagnePrint demonstration connecting to the MagneScore Scoring Module and accessing the website. To get started you will need the following items: 1. USB MagnePrint Reader (P/N ) 2. Log on card (P/N ) 3. Authentic card (P/N ) 4. 3 1. Connections Connect the USB MagnePrint reader to the USB port of the PC. The LED on the card reader will turn a steady green, 2 seconds after connection. This indicates that the reader is powered and ready to use. 2. Web Site Open an internet browser and type in the following URL in the address bar: View Favorites Tools Help A Service by ss Welcome to MagneSafe. 4 3. Log-On To Log-On to the site you will need a Log-On card and a password. This Log-On process is called two-factor authentication method. A Service by Click on the MagnePrint reader type you have connected to your PC to begin the process. Welcome to MagneSafe. 5 4. Log-On We have provided a Log-On card with a password of The MagnePrint of this card has been pre-registered in the database of the site. 10 9. Score an Authentic Card The next step is to authenticate the card. Swipe A Card To Score: A Service by Click on the link to take you to the Score page. Since this is the Authentic Card, the MagnePrint is validated and the odds of the card being authentic are shown. 11 10. Score an Authentic Card Copy The Authentic Card Copy has the exact same information encoded on its magnetic stripe as the Authentic version. However, since the MagnePrint is different, it is identified as a fraudulent card. Swipe A Card To Score: A Service by Click on, and swipe the Authentic Card Copy through the MagnePrint reader. 12 11. Log Off You have now successfully demonstrated the use of the MagnePrint System for Two Factor Authentication and to detect fraudulently created copies of an authentic card. Click on Log Off.
