Required Tools: FMUX01A Removal/Replacement Manual Item Graphic representation description 1 Hands Some operations do not require hand tools 2 Philip's A #2 size with sharp tip to remove screws screwdriver 3 Soldering iron This is for unsoldering wiring B. Assembly methods: 1. Mechanical assembly including connectors 2. Soldering; wiring harness assemblies, primary AC or DC wiring 3. Modules and sheet metal; assembled with hardware screws. II. 4 B. Optical Module Assembly Removal/Replacement 1. No tools should be required for this operation 2. Loosen the four (4) M3 thumb captive screws until they disengage from the chassis front panel. 3. Do not remove the captive screws from the optical modules. 4. Use the captive thumb screws to pull the optical modules out of the chassis. Refer to the below drawing. Optical Module PCBA 4

5 C. I/O Module Assembly Removal/Replacement 1. A #2 Philip's head screwdriver will be required for this operation 2. Remove all the M3x5 flathead screws numbered 1~12 in the diagram below. 3. Remove the I/O modules. Refer to the below drawing. I/O Modules 5

6 D. Top Cover Removal/Replacement 1. A #2 Philip's head screwdriver will be required for this operation 2. Remove all the M3x5 flathead screws numbered 1~7 in the diagram below. 3. To remove the top panel, push up on the panel at the #2 screw location shown below. Then, after the rear part of the panel has cleared the chassis, slide the panel lip out from under the front Display Panel. Top Panel Lip Display Panel 6

7 E. Wiring Harness Removal/Replacement 1. A #2 Philip's head screwdriver will be required for this operation 2. Remove the M4x6 ground screws numbered 1~2 in the diagram below. 3. Remove all the connectors from the Mainboard and Power Modules. Refer to the below drawings. Mainboard Wiring Power Module 7

8 F. Display Assembly Removal/Replacement 1. A #2 Philip's head screwdriver will be required for this operation 2. Remove the M3x5 flathead screws numbered 1~2 in the diagram below. 3. Pull the Display Assembly off, disengaging it from the mainboard connector, straight forward. Refer to the below drawings. Display Assy. 8

9 G. Display PCBA Removal/Replacement 1. A #2 Philip's head screwdriver will be required for this operation 2. Remove the M3x8 roundhead screws numbered 1~8 in the diagram below. 3. Remove the Display PCBA from the Front Panel. Refer to the below drawings. Front Panel Display PCBA 9

10 H. Rear Panel Assembly Removal/Replacement 1. A #2 Philip's head screwdriver will be required for this operation 2. Remove the M3x5 flathead screws numbered 1~3 in the diagram below. 3. Remove the Rear Panel Assembly from the main chassis. Refer to the below drawings. Rear Panel Assy 10

11 I. Mainboard PCBA Removal/Replacement 1. A #2 Philip's head screwdriver will be required for this operation 2. Remove the M3x8 roundhead screws numbered 1~12 in the diagram below. 3. Remove the Mainboard PCB Assembly from the main chassis. Refer to the below drawings. Mainboard PCBA 11

13 K. Power Module Removal/Replacement 1. A #2 Philip's head screwdriver will be required for this operation 2. Remove the M4x6 roundhead screws numbered 1~6 in the diagram below. 3. Remove the AC and/or DC Power Module from the main chassis. Refer to the below drawings. AC power DC power 13
