Digital volume transducer Our lightweight digital volume transducer (DVT) with very small dead space is a perfect choice for testing high-level athletes. The DVT flat-vane system doesn t have the lag of a turbine system or the need for laminar airflow like a traditional pneumotach. It adds minimal resistance to airflow, key for athletes during high ventilation/ work-rate. The DVT is comfortable to wear while exercising with mask or mouthpiece. 4 Vyntus CPX has it all The flexible Vyntus CPX is the perfect choice for the exercise physiology and sports medicine markets. High/Low FIO2 measurement Spirometry (FVC, SVC and MVV) measurements are always included with each device. Vyntus CPX offers the High/Low FIO2 measurement. Optional test athletes under high altitude training conditions. An integrated pulse oximetry with ear clip for measurement of SpO2 is optional. Various other sensors like finger clip or forehead reflectance can be adapted. Vyntus CPX can be extended with the Canopy option to provide highly accurate resting energy expenditure (REE) and substrate metabolism test data using the dilution canopy method. Our interface to the external flexible analysis software winlactat from Mesics allows the quick development of professional training recommendations and individual training plans. Vyntus CPX stores its data in a modern Structured Query Language (SQL) format, making it easily accessible to outside software packages such as Excel for further statistical analysis.

During testing, our new performance bar graph will highlight an athlete s response to predicted maximal values, providing students exposure to some of the various indices that entail subjects reaching maximal criteria. Automated workflow can help guide students through a post-test procedure to teach the steps needed to analyse the exercise bout: resting, ventilatory thresholds, peak and slope analysis data. Multiple ventilatory threshold-detection analysis (VT1, VT2 and VT3) is standard with Vyntus CPX. Students can more easily see and learn about differences in V-slope, ventilatory equivalents and end-tidal analysis using side-by-side graphics.

14 Take your testing out of the lab and on the run! Vyntus CPX is an excellent stationary testing device, but there are times when you just need to test subjects outside the laboratory. For these occasions, we have the Oxycon Mobile metabolic cart. Oxycon Mobile has been used by runners, bikers, skiers, mountain climbers and scullers. It works almost anywhere you can test someone except underwater! The Oxycon Mobile device lets you monitor subjects online up to 1,000 meters away. The data are also stored on the device and can be downloaded later. The lightweight, small-profile modules can be worn on the front or the back, allowing athletes uninterrupted freedom for their sports. Data can be transferred to SentrySuite software for the same analysis workflow as with Vyntus CPX. A two-hour, internal battery life meets the needs of most exercise sessions. There is also the option of adding an external eight-hour battery. When you re out on the road or up on a mountain, the last thing you need to haul around is a calibration syringe. That s why the Oxycon Mobile device includes automatic flow and volume calibration.
