2 2018 IRS Depot Replacement Program Goal: Eliminate use of IRS laptops and printers Nationwide, 4,200 IRS Depot units shipped in TY ,400 replacements this year 34 CO1 IRS laptops replaced this year Program will continue until IRS laptops are eliminated IRS printer refresh details not yet announced AARP Laptop Refresh Program Replacement Selection Criteria: Tax Aide Inventory Agent (TIA) activity in last year, and Listed as OK in Online Inventory System (OIS) as of June 1, 2018, and Less than 1.5 GHz Processor, or Less than 1.7 GB RAM, or Less than 100 GB hard drive HP 6715b, HP 6735s, HP 6910p 123 in Western region, 22 in CO1 4 2

5 Printers KRACK Exposure in WiFi Mode Mitigation: Update printer firmware (Jan 2018 or newer) Update printer firmware on all printers, even those newly received from GraceWorkz If not available, do not connect printer using WiFi. Use Ethernet cable to router, or USB to a single computer. (Do not use Windows printer sharing.) Use WiFi print server attached to USB port of printer 9 HP P1102w Printer Firmware Wrinkle Older P1102w printers may not accept the update Print a configuration page: On top line, if there is a space between the P and 1102w, can be updated: On top line, if no space, cannot be updated 10 5
