3 New Features New Features added in version Support added for Monitored Switch PDUs

4 Resolved Issues Issues resolved by version Issue ID Title Bgz25751 MI units outlets "pdug5outletcontrolswitchable" return 0 and not 2 Bgz25764 Bgz25791 Bgz25812 Bgz25884 Bgz25886 On Delay for outlet sequencing does not delay outlet correct. SKU P38D28M and SKU P30D02M do not monitor on 5-20R outlets Power Measurements Not Working on P24D33M and P24D30M The current rating of some PDUs have changed from 16AMPs to 12AMPs (P08D09M P08E14M P12E20M P12D20M) P34D41M seems to be missing from SKU table

5 Outstanding Issues New Issues The following reported problems have been found since the previous release and are still outstanding in this release. Issue ID Title Version Status Bgz25906 Certain Switchable PDUs don't return correct values Deferred for pdug5outletcontrolswitchable (P16E19M, P18E23M and P08E17M) Bgz25909 SNMP Outlet Current Ratings do not match PDU Deferred Compliance Label Bgz25910 CLI and Web UI do not match for Total Energy in Deferred kwhrs Bgz25915 Energy Alarm Thresholds are not working consistently Deferred Sometimes they don't work, sometime the value is just off Bgz25924 Cannot set time and date on slave PDU Deferred Bgz25926 Unexpected Error When Saving LDAP Configuration Deferred Settings Bgz25928 Select rotate screen on horizontal units leave LCD Deferred screen upside down after a power up Bgz25931 External sensor thresholds not getting loaded in the Deferred configuration file Bgz25934 Data Log is unreadable when downloaded (no end of lines) Deferred Bgz25906 Certain Switchable PDUs don't return correct values for pdug5outletcontrolswitchable Certain MS PDUs return a 0 for pdug5outletcontrolswitchable instead of 1. Some of these PDUs are P16E19M, P18E23M and P08E17MWorkaround: If the PDU is an Monitored Switch PDU, all outlets can be assumed as switchable. Bgz25909 SNMP Outlet Current Ratings do not match PDU Compliance Label The value for the SNMP object pdug5outletcurrentrating does not match the compliance label. For example C13 outlets are rated at 10amps, however the value reutrned in pdug5outletcurrentrating is 16amps.

6 Workaround: Ignore the value in pdug5outletcurrentrating Bgz25910 CLI and Web UI do not match for Total Energy in kwhrs The value read through the Web UI for Total Energy seems to lag behind the actual value. Workaround: Use the value in the SNMP interface or through the CLI. Bgz25915 Energy Alarm Thresholds are not working consistently. Sometimes they don't work, sometime the value is just off Sometimes the Energy alarm does not work on the active PDU. Sometimes it will not report until way over the threshold, sometimes it just doesn't work Workaround: None Bgz25924 Cannot set time and date on expansion PDU The time on the slave PDU cannot be set. Event notifications that occur on the slave PDU time stamp could be incorrect. Workaround: Connect slave PDU to the network, configure time and date and then connect slave PDU back to the daisy chain. Bgz25926 Unexpected Error When Saving LDAP Configuration Settings Before saving the LDAP settings, all settings are required to be filled in. If a field is not fill out correct, the error handling does not always highlight the correct field with the issue. Workaround: When there is an error verify all settings. Bgz25928 Select rotate screen on horizontal units leave LCD screen upside down after a power up If you select rotate screen on a horizontal PDU, it will default the PDU screen rotation setting to 0 degrees (upside down) when the PDU is powered up. Even if the PDU is set to 180 degrees rotation (right side up) the PDU will still power up in the 0 degree rotation. If you have a horizontal PDU do not use this feature. Workaround: This Default the PDU settings.

7 Bgz25931 External sensor thresholds not getting loaded in the configuration file Restoring the configuration on a PDU does not restore the external sensor thresholds. Workaround: Update the sensor threshold manually after a configuration restore Bgz25934 Data Log is unreadable when downloaded (no end of lines) The file returned when you download the data log has no end of line characters. Workaround: Edit the file to replace all the commas with end of line characters. Existing Issues The following reported problems were found prior to the previous release and are still outstanding. Issue ID Title Version Status Bgz25636 The ifspeed is always returned as Deferred Bgz25639 The delayed option of the outlet control is not working Deferred Bgz25650 SNMP v1 traps Community string configuration does Deferred not null terminate correctly. 10 9 Issue ID Title Version Status Bgz25821 The phase and breaker trap code are off by one in the Deferred traps Bgz25824 Power Alarms Not Working on Slave PDUs Deferred Bgz25825 Energy Alarms Not Working on Slave PDUs Deferred Bgz25826 Web UI Alarm Shows Phase Voltage, not Phase Deferred Current Bgz25827 Event Logs: Show full log doesn't show full log Deferred Bgz25829 "dev sensor" through CLI does not work on daisy chain Deferred PDUs Bgz25830 No notification when temp/humidity sensor alarms Deferred are cleared Bgz25831 Water sensors don't work well on slave PDU Deferred Bgz25832 Trap codes in trap message for binary sensors are Deferred reversed for alarm and clear Bgz25837 NTP Settings will not save if server IP is not valid Deferred Bgz25838 NTP Test indicates both servers fail even if one works Deferred Bgz25839 CLI command pwr cb does not return error when Deferred breaker number is missing Bgz25846 snmp reads incorrect value for pdug5configftps Deferred (always reads on) Bgz25854 Firmware upload shows completed too soon on Web Deferred UI Bgz25856 SNMPv3 Traps (with noauthnopriv) not working on Deferred "send trap" Bgz25857 Configuration upload and downloads do not work on slave PDUs Deferred Bgz25636 The ifspeed is always returned as 0 The SNMP oid IF-MIB::ifSpeed.1 is not updated with the operating speed of the Ethernet interface. It always returns zero. Workaround: Use equipment at other end of Ethernet connection to determine the negotiated interface speed. Bgz25639 The delayed option of the outlet control is not working Via SNMP the outlet control OIDs: pdug5outletcontroloffcmd, pdug5outletcontroloncmd do not support delayed control of the outlets. When these OIDs are written the action to the outlet occurs immediately. Workaround: None.

10 Bgz25650 SNMP v1 traps Community string configuration does not null terminate correctly. When setting the trap receiver string to a shorter community string, the string used is incorrect. Workaround: Reboot the PDU and the configured string value will then be used. Bgz25651 Test always causes an " fail" notification. When a test is sent out, the PDU will erroneously report the sending of the message failed. This will result in extra notification to the server. Workaround: Ignore the failed message. Bgz25652 The system up time is incorrect on all PDUs Via SNMP sysuptime.0 does not show the correct system uptime. Workaround: None Bgz25703 Password error shows incorrect number of characters required When changing a user's own password, the error message always indicates greater than 8 characters are needed, even if the setting has been changed to another number. Workaround: None Bgz25711 NTP Syncs only on boot or network status change. When the system time is update through NTP, the NTP syncs only during boot up or a network status change. This could cause a timing to drift over time. Workaround: Resetting to PDU will cause a re-sync Bgz25719 CLI http/https status can be incorrect Enabling both HTTP and HTTPS through the CLI will force the Web UI to work in HTTPS mode.

11 Workaround: To have the Web UI to operate in HTTP mode, disable HTTPS and enable HTTP through CLI Bgz25724 Download of Event Logs does not always work Sometimes, when the event logs are attempted to be download, the download will not work. Workaround: Try clearing the browser's cookies and re-try. Bgz25733 CLI net phy command returns incorrect message Using any PDU that has been reset to the factory defaults, access the command line interface and enter the command net phy. PDU responds with the message "Unkonw phy configuration 0x100"" but actually is operating in "auto"" mode. Workaround: Send the net phy auto command, then the PDU will respond with ""link speed: auto negotiation"" as expected. Bgz25739 Enable/Disable of alarms notification in the MIB doesn't work on slave PDU. Via SNMP, the following entries do not return valid information for the standby PDU: pdug5inputphasevoltagethctrl, pdug5inputphasecurrentthctrl, pdug5groupvoltagethctrl, pdug5groupcurrentthctrl, pdug5temperaturethctrl, pdug5humiditythctrl, pdug5outletactivepowerthctrl This is not an issue on the master PDU. Workaround: Information on which alarm notifications are enabled is available via the web interface" Bgz25741 Wrong outlet configuration on the PDU MI units. When reading the outlet type via SNMP:pdug5OutletType for Monitoring Input Only PDUs, the Outlet type is incorrectly shown as iecc13(1). It should be unknown as the PDU does not have the ability to know the outlet type in that class of PDUs. Workaround: Do not use pdug5outlettype for MI units.

12 Bgz25742 Circuit Breaker Name is not used through the PDU on slave PDUs If you configure a breaker name on a slave PDU, the name will not be used on other pages of the Web UI, such as on the dash board and the threshold page. This works fine on the master PDU. Workaround: None Bgz25746 Cannot disable environmental alarms. From the Web UI: When you edit the External sensors, unchecking the boxes for thresholds does not take effect when saving the page. Workaround: Set thresholds to values that will not trigger alarms. Bgz25750 certificates must have specific name - no error msg If certificate/key are not named cert.crt and cert.key, the webui will accept the files like it's going to update the certs, but when it gets the the rebooting step it just hangs. Workaround: Name the file properly. Bgz25756 Daylight Savings Offset Shows 1 Hour in Edit Dialog and 0 Minutes on the Main Screen When setting the Daylight Saving Time, the Time Offset will show 60 minutes. After you save that settings, the Time Offset will show 0 minutes. Workaround: When saving the day light saving settings, you need to select "30 minutes" then "60 minutes" and then select save for "60 minutes" to take effect. Bgz25758 Event log not clearing On the web interface, the button to clear the Data Log does not always work. Workaround: Use the CLI command: sys log del event

13 Bgz25762 Config File Download to USB Locks Up Display if conf.ini already exists on the drive "If you download the configuration to a USB Drive and there is already a "conf.ini" on the jump drive the, the LCD screen will lock up. Workaround: To unlock the PDU,power cycle the PDU or remove and reset the inm module. Then remove the "conf.ini" file from the jump drive and retry. Bgz25769 Search Feature Not Working in Internet Explorer Search Feature Not Working in Internet Explorer Workaround: Use Chrome or Firefox Bgz25770 LOGS: Clear Data Log does not work On the web interface, the button to clear the Data Log does not always work. Workaround: Use the CLI command: sys log del data Bgz25775 Certain PDUs always have an over current alarm present. It is possible that when an overcurrent alarm is cleared the alarm may continue to be displayed on the LCD. The alarm will be cleared in the WebUI and SNMP. Workaround: Reset the PDU to reset the LCD display. Bgz25776 DST Transitions are do not work properly.. Setting Daylight Saving Time, while in the month you are trying to set will not work Workaround: Manually set the date to a different month. Then set the Daylight Saving Time setting, then set date back to the correct date. Bgz25777 pdug5inputfrequencystatus not reporting out of range condition When querying the pdug5inputfrequencystatus through SNMP, it will always return Good, even when the line is out of range.

14 Workaround: Use Web UI to get the information. Bgz25780 Phase and Group Power Watt-Hour OIDs not getting reset after selecting "Reset PDU Energy" In the WebUI Control & Manage page, choosing the action to Reset PDU Energy does not reset pdug5inputphasepowerwatthour and pdug5grouppowerwatthour. The OID pdug5inputresettableenergy is properly reset. Workaround: None Bgz25782 Causing a temperature alarms on the PDU shows as over current on the LED Any alarm on the PDU (e.g. temperature) will show as over current on the LED display. Workaround: None. Bgz25784 Initial State of water sensors are "alarmed" When a water sensor is inserted in the PDU, an ""alarm"" event will occur and then immediately clear. Workaround: none Bgz25785 The number of sensors supported between the Web UI and SNMP need to be aligned. Certain sensors types support different max sensor values on the Web UI vs SNMP. The could lead to issues where you could have more sensor on the Web UI than retrievable through SNMP. The Web UI will support 8 sensors of each type. SNMP only supports 6 temperature sensors, 6 humidity sensors, 2 water sensors, 3 dry contact sensors and 2 door sensors Workaround: none

15 Bgz25790 Syslog message are coming out as a priority "Mail.info" for everything All syslog messages coming from the PDU are set with a priority of Mail.info. Workaround: none Bgz25793 The firmware version on the slave PDUs is not always correct. The version of firmware from the primary PDU will be shown as the version of the slave PDU regardless of the version on the slave. Workaround: The slave PDU version can be observed via the LCD screen. Bgz25795 Retries on the setting does not seem to be working. The retries on the SMTP do not work. If an error occurs, the message will not be re-transmitted. Workaround: none Bgz25796 Changing the SNMP Trap port doesn't change the port targeted for the SNMP trap Setting the SNMP trap port configuration via the WebUI will not change the actual destination port for SNMP trap messages. SNMP trap messages will always go to port 162. Workaround: SNMP trap receivers must use port 162. Bgz25798 All breaker codes are returned as the base and not the base + index SNMP trapcodes for breaker notifications are off from the documented value. All breaker values report the trap code for the first breaker. The correct breaker is shown in the explanatory text. Workaround: none. Bgz25799 Logout message not sent reliably Sometimes, the logout message is not seen when a user logs out. Workaround: none.

16 Bgz25801 Do not receive a trap for log out messages. When a logout happens, no trap message is sent. You will receive message, syslog message and an event will be sent to the event log. Workaround: none Bgz25803 Outlet trap messages have the wrong trap code. SNMP trapcodes for outlet notifications are off from the documented value. All outlet notification values report the trap code for the first outlet. The outlet is shown in the explanatory text. Workaround: None. Bgz25805 Sensor traps codes are off by one SNMP trapcodes for sensor notifications are off from the documented value. All sensor values report the trap code for the sensor plus 1. The correct sensor is shown in the explanatory text. Workaround: None. Bgz25806 Removing a sensor on slave PDU does not result in a loss comm message The removing a sensor on the slave PDU will NOT result in a Loss Communication event. This works correctly for a sensor on the master PDU Workaround: None Bgz25807 Network Card Reset/Start notifications do not send out traps. When the PDU reboots or starts up, not SNMP traps are sent out to notify the user. However, and syslog messages will be sent out. Workaround: Use the or syslog for you event notification. Bgz25811 Trap not sent for bootloader mode. When a PDU is sent to bootloader mode, you will receive event and the syslog message. However, you will not receive a trap message.

17 Workaround: Use or syslog to track your notifications. Bgz25814 Incorrect error handling in USB Configuration If you try to do an "Up Config", through bootloader mode, and you do not have an config.ini file on the USB drive, the PDU will be placed in an odd state. Some of the examples of that state being off is you cannot do a "Down Config". Workaround: The PDU's controller needs to be reset. Bgz25817 GroupCurrentRating off by a factor of 10 in slave pdu Through SNMP, the pdug5groupcurrentrating is off by a factor of 10 on slave PDUs. This does not affect the master PDU. Workaround: None. Bgz25818 Input/Power Threshold Alarm are missed labeled. Labeled kw, should be W On the Input Power thresholds page, the values are labeled "kw", kilowatts. the values should be labeled "W", watts. Workaround: none Bgz25819 Power Thresholds values are not in the MIB The power threshold values cannot be seen through the SNMP interface. Workaround: Use the Web UI. Bgz25820 The Lower Input alarms always report an alarm when enabled. When the Lower Threshold Input alarms are enabled, the Lower Alarm will always be active. Workaround: Disable the Lower Threshold alarms. Bgz25821 The phase and breaker trap code are off by one in the traps SNMP trap codes for phase and breaker notifications are one more than the documented value. Subtract one from the trap code to determine the

18 correct phase or breaker. The correct phase or breaker is shown in the explanatory text. Workaround: None. Bgz25824 Power Alarms Not Working on Slave PDUs Power threshold alarms on a slave PDU are only visible via the event log. They are not visible via any of the other usual means: SNMP traps, alerts, syslog events. Workaround: None. Bgz25825 Energy Alarms Not Working on Slave PDUs Energy threshold alarms on a slave PDU are only visible via the event log. They are not visible via any of the other usual means: SNMP traps, alerts, syslog events. Workaround: None. Bgz25826 Web UI Alarm Shows Phase Voltage, not Phase Current In the WebUI event log, Phase Current alarms for a slave PDU are listed as Phase Voltage Alarms. Indications via other avenues (e.g. SNMP traps) currently show the alarms as Phase Current Alarms. This is not an issue with the primary PDU. Workaround: None. Bgz25827 Event Logs: Show full log doesn't show full log The Web UI event log page initially shows twenty entries. Clicking on the "View Full Log" button does not show the other entries. Workaround: Download the event log to view the entire event log. Bgz25829 "dev sensor" through CLI does not work on daisy chain PDUs In the CLI: The ""dev sensor"" command displays the sensors on the primary PDU. Information from slave PDUs is not shown. Workaround: Use the WebUI to view these sensors.

19 Bgz25830 No notification when temp/humidity sensor alarms are cleared When a temperature or humidity sensor alarm clears, there is no notification that the alarm is cleared. The only indication that the condition is no longer present is in the alarm triangle icon on the WebUI. They will also report clear when queried via SNMP. Workaround: Query the temperature alarms via other means. Bgz25831 Water sensors don't work well on slave PDU. Only via SNMP for the slave PDU, water sensors always report LEAK. No SNMP traps will be enunciated if the status of the sensors change. Actual status of these sensors can be read via the WebUI. This is not an issue with the primary PDU. Workaround: Use the WebUI to determine the status of a slave PDU water sensor. Bgz25832 Trap codes in trap message for binary sensors are reversed for alarm and clear The SNMP trap codes for contact states are incorrect. The text of the message is correct. When a contact clear trap is enunciated, the trap code is in the range of (it should be ). When a contact alarm trap is enunciated, the trap code is in the range of (it should be ) Workaround: None Bgz25837 NTP Settings will not save if server IP is not valid NTP Settings will not save unless the server IPs are set to a valid ntp server. Workaround: Verify the both NTP servers are up and accessible when you are configuring NTP. Bgz25838 NTP Test indicates both servers fail even if one works The test of the NTP server is tested, it will show both servers have failed, when only one server has failed. Workaround: none

20 Bgz25839 CLI command pwr cb does not return error when breaker number is missing When the "pwr cb [x]" is ran from the CLI and no circuit breaker, cb, is entered, the command will return data that is not correct. Workaround: Enter a valid value circuit breaker value in the command. Bgz25846 snmp reads incorrect value for pdug5configftps (always reads on) The SNMP will return on for the pdug5configftps oid. Workaround: Use the Web UI to see the state of FTPs Bgz25854 Firmware upload shows completed too soon on Web UI After the upgrade, the Web UI will bring you back to the main page. The system will look like it has finished the upgrade, but there is still items being upgraded in the back ground. If you power cycle the PDU during this time you may corrupt the configuration. Workaround: Verify you can log into the Web UI before power cycling the PDU Bgz25856 SNMPv3 Traps (with noauthnopriv) not working on "send trap" For users in noauthnopriv, the test trap command will fail. This is only a failure with the test message. Workaround: none Bgz25857 Configuration upload and downloads do not work on slave PDUs. Under the System Management actions: Upload/Download Configuration does not perform the action on the slave PDUs. The action does take affect for the master PDU. Workaround: None
