8 1. Introduction The purpose of the Acceptance Test Plan is to verify that the system delivered to the LEMA Organization satisfies the requirements laid out in the SSRD. A successful run of the ATP will validate the system for delivery to the customer. Functional and non-functional requirements will be matched with test cases and test cases will be developed in such a way that a passing test will verify that the win conditions associated with that test case have been met. Unit testing will be preformed of the individual pieces of the system while system level testing will be done to validate the higher-level requirements. Integration testing will be done as pieces of the system are added to the project though this testing will not be included as part of the acceptance test plan. 8

9 2. Test Strategy and Preparation The project s test strategy is using Boundary value testing using exit and entry criteria for continuous Unit and Integration Testing. These will be prioritized by using the Value based Test Prioritization. For test preparation we need a similar environment like the development environment - at least for the Unit and Integration and Functionality testing. Unit and integration testing will occur in the development environment on the greenbay server. Official testing activities will occur on a clean installation of the latest software build on the development server, but in a separate deployment environment. For the final operations testing the client s servers will be used. Also since we will be following an agile incremental development and more so a test based development approach at least for all the critical test cases, we will be using the unit tests to validate our agile continuous integration. 2.1 Hardware preparation The final product will be deployed and tested in a Debian Linux environment and tested with Windows and Mac workstations. Prior testing activities will use Ubuntu Linux on the server and Windows/Mac workstations. 2.2 Software preparation Ensure the following software is installed and configured Unit testing workstations Operating Software Purpose Windows 7 Google Chrome 17 Interface to web application Internet Explorer 9 Interface to web application Internet Explorer 8 Interface to web application Opera 11, Firefox 11 Interface to web application Mac OS X Google Chrome 17 Interface to web application Windows 7 FET Scheduling tool Mac OS X FET Scheduling tool testing workstations Operating Software Purpose Windows 7 Google Chrome 17 Interface to web application Internet Explorer 9 Interface to web application Internet Explorer 8 Interface to web application FET Scheduling tool Mac OS X FET Scheduling tool 9
