Locate the Start/Windows menu. 2. Select Control Panel and search for and/or select Programs and Features. 3. Find and select Search Protect.

2 4. From the Search Protect uninstall dialog, select the Go back to my original home page checkbox. 5. Click Uninstall. IMPORTANT: Clicking Uninstall without selecting the Go back to my original home page box will uninstall Search Protect, but the Home page and Default Search assets will remain Conduit Search. The Conduit Search New Tab and 404 Error pages revert on Search Protect uninstall. Skip to Step #7 for instructions on how to revert Conduit Search Home page and Default Search within each browser. 6. Restart Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer. The Home page, Default Search, New Tab, and 404 Error Pages are restored to their previous search settings (prior to the installation of Search Protect) in each browser.

3 Revert Conduit Search by Browser Instructions for how revert Conduit Search Home page and Default Search assets from within Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer. IMPORTANT: Go back to Step #1 if Search Protect appears in the Windows Programs menu. Chrome 7. Navigate to Chrome Settings page (chrome://settings/) from the address bar. NOTE: From the Settings page, you may reset your Startup (Home page) page, Appearance and Address bar (Omnibox) search settings. On Startup Page (Home page) 8. From the Settings page, click Set Pages under On Startup. 9. Hover over the Conduit Search URL and select the icon. Click OK.

4 Appearance 10. From the Settings page, check the Show Home button box under Appearance. Click Change. 11. Delete the Conduit Search URL under Home page. Click OK.

5 Address Bar Search (Omnibox) 12. From the Settings page, select the Manage search engines button under Search.

6 13. Hover over your preferred search engine and click Make default. 14. Hover over Conduit and select the icon to delete Conduit Search. Click Done.

7 15. Restart Chrome to confirm Startup (Home page) page, Appearance and Address bar (Omnibox) changes. Firefox Home page 16. At the top-left corner of the browser select either the orange Firefox OR the Tools menu. 17. Select Options from the drop-down menu. 18. From the General tab, delete the Conduit Search URL in the Home page field. Click OK.

8 Default Search 19. Select the magnifying glass icon to the right of the address bar. 20. Select Manage Search Engines from the drop-down menu. 21. Select DivX Browser Bar Customized Search and/or Conduit Search from the list of options and click the Remove button.

9 22. Move the preferred search engine to the top of the list by highlighting that option and selecting the Move Up button. Click OK. Internet Explorer Home page 23. At the top-right corner of the browser find the Tools menu. The Tools icon and location varies according to the IE version. Internet Explorer 8 Internet Explorer Select Internet Options from the Tools drop-down menu. 25. From the General tab, delete the Conduit Search URL and replace it with the desired home page URL.

10 26. Click Apply and then select OK. Default Search (IE8) 27. Select the magnifying glass icon at the top-right side of the browser.

11 28. Select Manage Search Providers from the drop-down menu. 29. Choose your desired search provider and click the Set as default button.

12 NOTE: When DivX Browser Bar Customized Search and/or Conduit Search is the only search option add a new search provider by selecting the Find more search providers link at the bottom-left corner of the window OR navigate to from the Internet Explorer address bar. Select the preferred search provider (direct links below) and click the Add to Internet Explorer button. Google: Yahoo: Bing: Click Add and go back to Step # Select DivX Browser Bar Customized Search and/or Conduit Search and click the Remove button. Click Close.

13 Address Bar Search (IE 9+) 31. Select the Cog Wheel icon at the top-right corner of the browser. 32. Select Manage add-ons from the drop-down menu. 33. Under the Search Providers tab choose your preferred search provider and click the Set as default button. NOTE: When DivX Browser Bar Customized Search and/or Conduit Search is the only search option add a new search provider by selecting the Find more search providers link at the bottom-left corner of the window OR navigate to from the Internet Explorer address bar. Select the preferred search provider (direct links below) and click the Add to Internet Explorer button. Google: Yahoo: Bing: Click Add and go back to Step #31.

14 34. Select DivX Browser Bar Customized Search and/or Conduit Search and click the Remove button. Click Close. Search Protect System Tray Instructions for how to change the Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer Home page and New Tab search assets with Search Protect. Search Protect will protect assets, including non-conduit Search assets, set within the Search Protect System Tray dialog. 35. Open the System Tray in the Windows taskbar. 36. Double-click the Search Protect Icon. 37. Choose Home Page and/or New Tab under Settings. 38. Select the preferred Search Engine. Click Apply.

15 39. Restart Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer. The Home page and/or Default Search assets will be set to the preferred Search Engine. Thank you! Please contact with any additional questions.
