Navigate to chrome://settings/ from the address bar OR select the Chrome menu icon on the top-right corner of the browser and select Settings. NOTE: The Chrome menu icon will look like or depending on the Chrome browser version, however the icon s location is the same.

2 From the Settings page, reset Startup (Home page), Appearance, Omnibox (Address bar) searches. On Startup Page (Home page) 2. From the Settings page, select Set Pages under On Startup. 3. Hover over Conduit Search URL and select the icon.

3 4. To add a new Startup URL, enter the URL and click OK. Appearance 5. From the Settings page, check the Show Home button box under Appearance. Click Change. 6. Delete the Conduit Search URL under Home page. Click OK.

4 Omnibox (Address Bar) 7. From the Settings page, select the Manage search engines button under Search. 8. Hover over your preferred search engine and click the Make default button.

5 9. To remove Conduit Search hover over the Conduit option and select the icon. Click Done. New Tab & 404 Error 10. Navigate to chrome://extensions/ OR select the Extensions tab from the Settings page.

6 11. Find Conduit Search and click the icon. Click Remove. 12. Restart Chrome to confirm the changes.

7 Safari Home page 1. With Safari open, click the Safari menu at the top-left corner of your screen and select Preferences OR, (Command-Comma) from the keyboard. 2. From the General tab delete the Conduit Search URL in the Homepage field. NOTE: Do not close the window and continue onto step #4 to change Address Bar and Default Search. Address Bar Search & Default Search 3. Select Extensions tab at the top-right side of the window.

8 4. From the Extensions tab find and select Conduit Search. Click Uninstall. 5. Click Uninstall.

9 6. Close the window and click the Change Homepage button (if prompted). 7. Restart Safari to confirm changes. 8. At this stage Conduit Search is removed, however address bar searches may still be set to Bing. To change address bar searches to Google or Yahoo! select the magnifying glass on the left-side of the address bar and choose your preferred search provider. Firefox Home page 1. With Firefox open, click the Firefox menu at the top-left corner of your screen and select Preferences OR, (Command-Comma) from the keyboard.

10 2. From the General tab, delete the Conduit Search URL in the Home page field. Close the window. Default Search & Address Bar Firefox 23 Firefox 23 has unique instructions to change Default Search and Address Bar. To determine the Firefox version select the Firefox menu and About Firefox.

11 NOTE: Skip to step #6 for Firefox versions prior to To change Default and Address bar search select the magnifying glass icon to the right of the address bar. 4. Select Manage Search Engines from the drop-down menu. 5. Select Conduit Search from the list of options and click the Remove button.

12 NOTE: Move your preferred search engine to the top of the list by highlighting that option and selecting the Move Up button. Click OK. Pre-Firefox Update to Firefox 23 ( and follow steps #4-6 OR navigate to about:config from the address bar. Select I ll be careful, I promise! 7. Search for Keyword.url and double-click the result. Delete the Conduit Search URL. Click OK.

13 New Tab 8. Open a new tab. 9. Select Restore at the bottom-left corner of the page. Select OK.

14 404 Error 10. Open Firefox and navigate to about:support. Click Show in Finder next to Profile Folder. 11. From the Profiles folder open the Active Profile (e.g. il5j4tod.default). Delete the abstraction.js file.

15 NOTE: Follow the steps below if you continue to see a Conduit 404 page. 12. Open the Finder menu and select Applications. Right-click Firefox (CTL + Click) and select Show Package Contents. 13. Select the Contents folder and then the MacOS folder and then the browser folder.

16 14. Delete the MACSearchTakeover.js file. NOTE: The file may be located in either the browser or MacOS folders. 15. Close and reopen the browser to see the changes take effect. 16. Restart Firefox to confirm the changes. Thank you! Please contact with additional questions.
