1 Approving Approving managers managers have have the the responsibility responsibility to either to either approve, approve, reject or reject escalate or escalate submitted performance documents. Follow the steps below to see how. Note: The functions described below can only happen once a performance document has been submitted for final approval. The reviewing manager must complete 3 steps before the approving manager sees the approval request in their worklist. There are two ways to access a submitted document: From the Worklist on the Home page From the My Organization tab of the Performance section To use the Worklist: Select Worklist from the home page. Any submitted documents will list here. Click each task link to begin your review.

2 The window shows high-level details such as the overall rating and comment, a link to access the full document. Click the link to review the document. (When you do this the task window will minimize.) After you review the document go back to the task window that minimized so you can take action using the buttons on the upper-right side of the screen. If you: Approve this closes out the document for the year and there is no more action to take. Reject this sends the document back to the submitter for further changes/updates. It is important to add a comment in the task so that the submitter knows what to changes need to be made. The reviewer will then need to complete all the steps done previously to send the document back to you for final approval. Escalate this sends the document on for approval to the next-level manager within the reporting hierarchy. They then have the ability to do all of the same things. If they approve, the document is closed, if they reject it s sent back to the original submitter and if they escalate, it s sent up the ladder once more. Note: Once you take an action, the window closes and you ll no longer see the item on your Worklist. Important: HOLD on all approvals until you are notified by your local Human Resources.

3 To view Performance Documents for all employees within your organization: Access Performance and select the tab to the left of the screen for My Organization. Click the tab for My Organization Performance Summary. This brings you to a list of your direct reports. Next, click the filter on top of the screen this filter defaults to the 2014 Mid- Year performance review. You will need to adjust to see reviews.

4 To view all reports within your organization, set the filter for All Reports and then select documents for both and Non-. Apply the criteria and the Performance Summary will now show all documents within your organization that have been submitted. Clicking the arrow above each direct report shows their direct reports, and any submitted documents for them. Each document shows as a link and can be viewed from here. To the far right of this screen you ll see any documents pending approval.

5 Click the button to access anything pending approval and you are taken to a screen where you can click the links to Approve, Reject or Escalate each submitted document. Important: Once you take any of these actions, the window closes and you ll no longer see the task item on your approvals screen.
