1 English Pronunciation PCVIDEOCD - Speaking English Overview These 10 Lessons are designed as a complete course to give you practice speaking English phonics (sounds), simple words and sentences. Practise speaking aloud with Annie, the program presenter. Tick the box after you have repeated each item ten times. For Best Results Listen to the sounds and watch the lip movements. Repeat each sound exactly as it is spoken. You may find it useful to use a mirror to check your own lip movements. Your accent and pronunciation will greatly improve the more you practise speaking. More practice = More improvement!!! Instructions for Use From the opening screen (Speaking English) Click 7. Keywords. Enter the keyword to find. Select a page according to the lesson plan. Click Go To Page button and begin the lesson. Example:- feelings Keyword Search - angry Go To Page - feelings Click and leave the cursor over the sound or word and Annie will continually repeat until the cursor is moved off. The space bar will advance you through the section. After each section is completed go back to the 'Speaking ENGLISH' Menu page and enter the next sections Keyword. The Importance of Phonics Phonics are the building blocks of the English language. Once you have mastered speaking phonics, phonemes and blends aloud, you will have the tools to decode and pronounce more complex words. Just For fun As you progress through the lessons, the producer of this program, Trevor will pop up to check your progress. Look out for Trevor and note where you spot him. Course Outcome For best results we recommend completing each lesson at least 5 times. Research has proven that repeating something fifty times will ensure maximum retention. We cannot stress enough the importance of repetition. Mimicking Annie aloud 50 times will ensure your maximum retention and accent modification. Be sure to regularly check our website for program and lesson plan updates.
