Make that Call If you have signed up for an event, like the Breakfast Club or a Day Outing, and cannot attend, please call the event organizer. Give the organizer as much advance notice as possible since arrangements may need to change based on the size of the group. We need someone who knows how to do wire wrapping on small objects to help the club out. See President Shelley Giles. April 10th - General Membership Meeting Doors open at 11:00, light lunch served at 11:15, meeting at 12:00, cards at 1:00. We will be having a raffle for two handmade walking sticks, $1 per ticket and will go on sale starting on 4/1 (ask Jonella or Jan Wilson or the Monitor to purchase a ticket). The Rec Centers is assisting the Northwest/Sun Cities Transit Study Stakeholders Group in gathering residents input through an online survey. The survey will help determine whether there is a need for transporation options in the community. Beginner s Mah Jongg Class - Women s Club Members Only A new class is beginning and will be twice a week for three weeks from 9:00 to 11:30. Class dates: May 1 and 2, May 8 and 9, and May 15 and 16. Members may join in on May 8th to practice their skills. (The first week is strictly for beginner s). Previous students are welcome for actual game play - increase your knowledge and confidence. Please bring a game for your play. The sign up sheets are on the credenza. Class size is limited and a wait-list is available. When signing up for this class, please enter your name and phone number. If a name is crossed out, do not put your name that space (sign up on the wait - list instead). 7 We would like a group of people to plan our club anniversary in the fall. We have been a charter club with Sun City West for 40 years and we have been at the Kuentz rec center for 30 years. If you do, then the calendar entries on the Women's Club Web site can be downloaded directly into your google or outlook calendar (other calendar types may also accept these downloads). Go to our web site, and choose the "Events calendar" menu item. The default is "list view", which shows you a text of upcoming activities. For any activity you wish to download into your calendar, chose the "find out more" link, and click either the google calendar button, or the ical export (outlook) button, and the event will be placed into your calendar. If you prefer not to view the calendar items as text, then choose to view the calendar "by month" or "by week". Toward the bottom of the page is a button to "export events". This will save an.ics file to your computer, which will open up as an outlook calendar page.
